I dont use rev cloud much so I dont miss it -Â Till I want to use it!!
I remeber there was a hoop on the last release to get it to work. Why is there a hoop? Could we just have the tool there ready to use with out the hoop(s)? Is the revcloud dead in Invetor 2012?

We have a couple of files that were created from Inventor 2013 as dwfx and when we upload them to the cloud they will not display correctly.
They will display correctly in Design Review on my local system.
I am trying to share documents with outside vendors using the Autodesk Cloud services. I have successfully uploaded files but, out of the six people I have shared the files with, only 3 of them can actually see the files.Â
My question is this: If I send an invitation to view the shared document to a person whose e-mail address is, "john.smith@HisEmail.com" does John have to use that exact e-mail as his official user name when registering with the Cloud or can he use any user name he wants to?
i recovered .nef raw image files from a dead external drive. i now can not open them in any program. the message i get in CS6 is 'could not complete your request because the file-format module cannot parse the file.'Â

originally the extension was .NEF now it is .nef- i dont know if that makes a difference, but i hope the file is somewhat corrupted but still fixable.

usually the .NEF file has a .xmp sidecar file with it. these ended up separated from the original .NEF when the files were corrupted, and i cant match them up.
while i am trying to load my point cloud files the points appeared in the model but not all points
i entered to the setting of the point cloud from the toolspace toolbar , i found that there are about 32 million points but only 700000 points are displayed in the drawing. Is there a way to display all the loaded points in my drawing to show all the points since i need to render a high resolution pictures for my lots.
I am not able to upload my files in my creative cloud into photoshop. I don't see the apps on te right side, but my it shows that photoshop is downloaded. Creative cloud is on my desktop, but when I open it I jut see a list of products downloaded.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have 3d scan of aircraft door frame (see attach) in point cloud format. I'd like to overlap 5 different frames and construct a new 6th frame by averaging out all of the points.
At the moment, the 3d data files has no surface and I'm unsure if adding surface with the construction of the 6th frame. I will also need to take into consider alignment, point density, and orientation when overlapping all of the frames before I can start work to average all points (Note: each scan are taken from 5 different vehicle).
I have both Rhino3D and Autodesk Alias Design 2012. What are the logical steps to do in this case?
Im running Inventor 2012 on a 64 bit windows 7 machine.
Having just newly discovered that Inventor has a Revision Cloud command, I read through the forums and found out that I had to install the two SKD .msi files named DeveloperTools & UserTools, which I have done. I also read that I have to execute the RegisterGeneralTools.exe which I have also done. I've rebooted and restarted Inventor numerous times thinking that my Add-Ins tab will show up with my newly acquired Revision Cloud command in Drawing Tools but to no avail.
Im coming from Inventor 2009 so I'm not sure if the Add-Ins tab is now supposed to be the Add-In Manger but from what I seen I should have a tab just right of "Get Started" and should include Drawing Tools and General Tools.
Is it possible to set up a project in inventor that when you save it locally it will also c to the 360 cloud location?Or must you set up a project with save paths directly to local 360 partition? Then syncing is done automatically from there?

I receive either the files could not be uploaded or the files could not be translated errors each time. It's quite frustrating. I love this product, but I am in grief becuase of this.

I've tried all the suggested remedies in the book: Logged in and out from Revit, cleared the firefox cookies and cache (used ccleaner) logged in and out of the 360 account on the web and said my prayers. Several times. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Revit on a different computer, to no avail.

Since other models render perfectly, I suspect a problem with the model.
I have few terabytes of photo's that are cataloged in lightroom. Only a few hundred gig are photo's that I rated 3-5 stars and are the only ones that I would want to be 100% certain I don't loose in a perfect storm data loss scenario.Â

I currently use windows 7 import everything into one master folder for my catalog, then sort and rate them all. Is there any way to direct lightroom to separate all photo's with a 3-5 star rating on my actual hard drive into a separate folder or duplicate them into another folder for cloud back-up? I've tried showing the rating column in window, but it doesn't seem to bring my lightroom star ratings into windows.
Shouldn't I be able to save my Lightroom Library to my Creative Cloud Files account? I understood this is done from the Sync button in the Lightroom Library.

The only way to do FEA analysis is through Autodesk's cloud server, the problem is my company's firewalls will not allow us to store, connect, or use cloud's or any server but ours. So I wondering if there is a option or setting that I can change and do all the computing locally on my machine.Â

There are some parameters in GOM for exporting the point cloud. For example you can chose "," or "." as separator. I believe the problem lies in this area. I believe the syntax in my file is wrong. First scenario: I slice an artwork with object/layer based slicing and, using slice options panel, mark text layer based slices as "no image" ( at this point section "table" is unavaliable and "Text displayed in cell" is displayed blank (do I really have to enter manually, using html?)).But "saving for web" results with white fields in places where text should appear.Second scenario: I slice an artwork at Illustrator using object based slicing and, in slice option panel, mark text based slices as html text (some text setting appears in "Text displayd in cell" field). But after saving for web the artwork is ruined: Tables have changed their positions and dimensions, braking images apart and text (font, size, colour) is not the same as in artwork. I don't have a clue how to resolve this situation. I work with Adobe CS3 suite and CS4 Illustrator.
