I just began learning AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014. I inadverdently entered an extra survey name in the survey databases. I cannot find any way to delete an entry that I don't want. This entry is in the "Survey" tab in the toolspace. I tried to start a new drawing in hopes it would give me a clean toolspace, but it keeps showing the same information.
View 2 RepliesAt times, my Tool space box will go blank. By this I mean that all items in all tabs can't be seen (Prospector-Points, Point Groups, Point Clouds, Surfaces, ....). This also happens at times in the Import Survey Data>Import Options (last box). I need to exit C3D and re-open for it to show up. Seems to happen at random when using the box.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I open Civil 3D 2014, my prospector will be off, If I open it, my screen splits as if it were two vertical viewports. Prospector appears in only the top one, which does not respond.

I've been opening old drawings that don't seem to have this problem, and then creating new drawings. Is it possible that this has something to do with a dual monitor setup?
I'm having trouble viewing a list within Toolspace Item View. When I click the item in the tree nothing shows up in the item view. There should be a list of all my parcels but there is not. Graphical view works fine. List view works fine with other items in my tree except for my parcels. Also, when i right click parcels and click refresh I can see the list genereate in item view but then it quickly disappears.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI dragged a surface style from another drawing into the drawing I am having issues with. The Issue is that after inserting the style the Prospector and Settings are not expandable. The Prospector check box is grayed out and there are dots in front of the Settings tab.
Basically I can't expand either the Prospector or the Setting to edit surfaces, alignments, styles, etc.
Set up the settings tab in Toolspace to always skip to display the drawing that I'm not working in? I just spent half an hour creating expressions in the wrong drawing,

I know I can get rid of those points by deleting them through edit but I want to get rid of them all at once. How can I do that? Or... Is there even a way to do that?
In using 2013 I noticed when I delete a feature line which is added to a surface as a breakline it does not delete it from the surface. Even after a rebuild the surface does not update. I am having to go into the toolspace and manually delete the breaklines from the surface list.

Everything was working fine until...I deleted a hatched area that represented a Butt Joint quantitiy. Now when I go into Compute Quatity Takeoff & select the Compute button, this quantity that was deleted is still there. And, since it is now deleted, I can't find a way to remove it from the Butt Joint quantity. I've tried using "Removes pay item from specific objects." I've tried deleting all my quantities and starting from scratch.

I have a Drawing that I have been developing as a control/template for surveying purposes. In compiling it I have acquired some empty blocks from another drawing I picked some data from. They are not being used or referenced by anything in the drawing and yet PURGE does not get rid of them. Is there another method I can use?

Am editting a clients file and have to remove the text style CT_Calibri_B.
Have tried using quick select and specifying the text style but this does not select anything.
How can I remove this text style?
Can I remove it if it is embedded in the file?
I'm trying to modify a surface I created using drill hole data of a cavern. When I select the delete lines command for surface editing a message pops up telling me that I must have the triangles displayed in the surface style dialog. But I do have the triangles displayed, and it still gives me the same message.

I'm an architect and I'm drawing up a development of 80 houses and I need to provide a Sales Plan which includes the width and length of each rear garden in the development. Rather than show these as actual dimensions on the drawing (which will get messy and make the drawing look untidy due to the large amount of units) I plan to create a simple table with plot number and dimensions.
My plan is to dimension the gardens on a non-printable layer and to insert a field into a table to obtain the required dimension. I've done this for the first few houses but I have to insert one field and then select the dimension to get the "m" dimension and then repeat the process in order to get the "ft" dimension.
My question is is it possible to insert a field (or two separate fields) that will display the dimension once in m (ie 12.80m) and once in 'architectural dimension style' (ie. 41' - 7 1/4") by only clicking on the dimension once??
This will save a lot of time as this size of development is quite common for me.
I am trying to create a template and want all of the revision material to show on all the sheets but the prompted entry that I have put into the template makes me re-enter it every time I change sheets. Is there any way to have it flow through onto all of the sheets instead of having to re-enter all the information.

For some reason unknown to us the Project Browser has double entries for the current projects: that is, a project shows up twice, with the same job number and such.
Windows Explorer correctly shows only one project folder, and in the Project Browser selecting either entry will bring up the project correctly.So, functionally we could live with this but I'd like to clean this up and I think deleting either entry would actually delete the project.
In an assembly, you can type in offset values for a part or assembly via the properties occurrence tab. Why is the x y and z offset angle entries grayed out? Is there any time that these could be used?

The title blocks that we use have prompted entries in them and I would like to find a way using iLogic to copy the entries from one title block to another within the same drawing; i.e.. if the user decides to change from an A2 to A1 drawing.
I already have an iLogic rule which allows the user to change the active border, title block and sheet size based on a form selection but would like it to capture the prompted entries already entered and re-use them after the change.

I used this snip it to add the path for network tool palettes. It works but it keeps adding the same search path every time i open a new session of AutoCAD. The list keeps getting longer with the same information. Say you want to make sure your users all have a certain tool palette.
