Dec 28, 2012my C3D11 is having one hell of a time sorting survey points by description. I crash everytime I open a drawing, open a survey database, edit points, sort by description.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: How To Get A List Of All Profiles
Jun 7, 2013I want a list of all profiles in the drawing. How can i do?
I have a list of all alignments with:
ObjectIdCollection alignColl = civDoc.GetAlignmentIds();
But profiles don´t have the method GetProfilesIds();
or how to check if each alignment has any profiles?

Sep 17, 2013When I pick a feature line, the property dialog would show Feature line, and list the information.
Now for some reason, I get aecc_feature_line and the property dialog shows a different list of information.
How do I get back to the Feature line list.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Cut-Fill Material List
Sep 4, 2012Trying to get the cut/fill quantities by computing the materials & I'm getting confused.
I imported another criteria & for ground removed it has existing as below & my datum as above. For fill, it has the datum below & existing above. The cut/fill matches a comparison between the 2 surfaces, but I just want to make sure I'm doing it right. Explain why for cut the datum's set to above & for fill it's set to below,

Jan 7, 2014What setting/toggle needs to be turned on to preview the list of parcels in a site? I have a user who clicks on the parcels heading in his site and doesn't see a preview of the list:
Don't deal it as parcel preview when you actually click on the name of the parcel. That I do know how to toggle on. We're just looking for the list.

Feb 26, 2013I just had an internal request for this and I had to look it up. So I'll share what I found and have a place to find it myself next time.
One way to do it is to select a COGO point to bring up the COGO Point Contextual menu tab. In COGO Point Tools you can select List Available Point Numbers.

Jul 22, 2012Attached is a zip file with a standalone program to aid in cleaning up the Recent Documents list for all flavors of AutoCAD, 2009-2013.
It's pretty self explanatory, just be sure to run it with no sessions of AutoCAD, or vertical products, running. It should refuse to run if it sees any Acad.exe application in the running tasks list. Once the dialog opens it will show you all of the Autocad related products you have installed, select one and it will fill in the first list of recent documents. Then select a profile for that product and the second list will populate with the SSM related recent documents saved for that profile. You can then select any item from either list, if the same DST filename exists in both lists it will automatically select them both. Use the standard selection methods to select more than one (shift-click, control-click, window).
Be sure to Unblock, if needed, the zip file before extracting the exe file. (Check the file properties)

Jan 29, 2013I have been using the "LIST" command to get coordinates of a point. The list can be as long as my monitor is high. I need to copy the coordinates of about 3 000 points to a Microsoft Word file to manipulate with them.
The "LIST" command would show me about 4 points after which i have to press "ENTER" to get the next ones, but this is obviously pointless. How could i get the coordinates of very many points to a text file all at once?

Nov 12, 2012Two of my users' 2013 Civil 3D's Sheet Set Manager does not show anything in the Recent list even though they have opened a few sheet sets and have worked on drawings from those sheet sets. In other words, they pick on the SSM > Open > and hover on Recent and nothing shows up. Once some sheet sets have been opened, the Recent list does populate during that AutoCAD session, but once AutoCAD is closed, the SSM > Open > Recent list does not populate. Mine works fine and we are using the same profiles.

now when reset it is same as autocad. which is like 1:1 (should be 1000), 1:2 (should be 2000)
what changed? i know it's just the name but this is bad. shoudln't change something like this all the sudden. hopefully is some variable.

Aug 25, 2008Any way to remove the .dst listings in the "Recent Documents" list on the "File" pulldown? We use Civil 3D mostly with dwg files and they are usually pushed off the list because of Sheet Set Manager files. Some of these dst's haven't been opened in weeks? But there still at the top of the list....very unproductive when you have to go searching for a dwg file you were just working on.....

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Parcel List Not Populating After Sort?
Apr 2, 2013I went to sort my parcel list in the prospector by label and doing so made all the parcels vansih from the list. I have turned off show preview. I expand the site to get to parcels. I click on parcel but nothing appears in the prospector. The parcels are in the drawing. I can view each one in preview. The list was there until I tried to sort them.
If I do a refresh they try to come back for a split second then are gone again. A restart does not make a difference

Jul 9, 2013In Civil 3D 2013, in the Toolbox tab, I go to Report Manager, and select the Points_List, which then creates an HTML file.
I open it up in Chrome and when I print it, part of the point information at the bottom of Page 1 is cut off and shows up at the top of Page 2.
Is there a way to fix this?

Nov 6, 2013I am trying to get a material volume report for a corridor structure. The overall dirt cut fill is working, but the pavement and base keeps showing up as zero.
I started with the surfaces made, (perhaps that’s the problem,) I made an alignment, used an assembly, made a profile, and sample lines, made the corridor. The assembly draws in the cross sections, but the materials report shows zero in the pavement and stone.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Pressure Network Catalog And Parts List
Jun 11, 2013We recently installed C3D2013. We were using our profile from 2012. When we tried to set the Pressure Network Catalog and then edit the Standard Parts List, we get a message that it references a catalog that can't be found. I have seen this on other posts.
I changed the profile to the out-of-the box profile, and now it will let me edit the Standard Parts List. When I drag the parts list in the _AutoCAD Civil 3D (Imperial) NCS into my original drawing, it loses the material.
What element of the profile allows it to set the Pressure Network Catalog and have it work? Does the Parts List in the template play any role in the interactivity between the Catalog and the Parts List?
Also, if I copy the Pressure Network Catalog folder from the C drive to a network drive, I again get the message that it references a catalog that can't be found. Can the catalog not be moved?

Sep 19, 2012Any way to create a parts list for HDPE pipes where instead of a manhole connecting different pipe sections will run continuously with coupling and elbows and it will connect to other pipe segments using wyes. Is this possible? The pipe should be able to bend either horizontally or vertically like any HDPE pipe. Any HDPE library?
My other question is once I have the layout of the pipe is it possible to calculate the trench excavation and backfilling?
