Every time I go into Section Editor while working on my corridor I have to reset my Code Set Style Selection. Its not even like I am exiting and re entering the drawing, just the Section Editor. Is there a specific place C3D looks for that style when you enter the editor?

I've been having the issue with code set style and making the section view to look the way I want. I created a new code set style and it shows perfectly the way I want in the assembly. When I create the section views, I specify the sections to have the same code set style, but for some reason, it shows up in a different color.
I provided an example showing the fence line as an assembly and in section view. For "mysterious" reasons, the color is different in the section view than in the assembly. And I've checked many time in the section view properties and assembly properties to make sure that both are displaying the same code set style.
In my section editor my labels show up correctly and in all the locations I want. But then, in my cross section file, I look in my section views and they are completely different. When I try to label more points under the Code Set Styles, they won't even show up on my section views.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've got a corridor where the section editor does not show a section that the corridor has created. My frequency is set to 25' with high/low points along curves. At station 22+75, in the model space the corridor shows a section being created (image #2). However, I cannot edit or even see that section in the section editor (image #1). The first screen shot shows the list of stations for the corridor in the editor while the second screenshot shows the model space at the problem station. This is in the middle of a region, so there shouldn't be any issues with other assemblies or regions.
In the section editor, Sta 22+74.91 is listed, skips 22+75, then lists 23+00. I am needing to manually adjust the cross slopes of my lanes. If I view the surface there is a weird dip because at station 22+75 the default slope of my lane is -2%. I cannot edit station 22+75, so I cannot adjust the cross slope of the lanes.
What is causing the section editor to not even recognize a section? How can I edit the cross slope at station 22+75 if the editor doesn't even display that section?

My sections are showing a label for some of my links that are coded as "top". My label style for the "top" link is set to none and some of the labels are still displayed.
The labels show in the sections, but not the assembly. We are running Civil 3D 2012.
I have a problem with editing in link code because it didn't appear in corridor section view as you can in attached files.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a short corridor, about 300', that ends at a cul-de-sac, and has multiple sections and alignments associated with it. My problem is when I need to edit a section in the "Section Editor" my computer feezes up. It was working fine for a while but now I can't get it to work even on a new drawing. If I can't get this fixed I will have to got to using feature lines. Which is not ideal.
I added a screen capture of my computer's information. And I have the SP1 installed for Acad.
When I click view extents in section editor it zoomes to my assembly. WHen I go to my next station, it zooms out to ridiculous values. How can this be set so I can do some work? I want to view my assembly and a few feet extra left/right/above/below.

How do i get the feature lines in my corridor to change their style based on the code set style selected?Whats the point of defining featureline styles in the code set style if they don't change in the corridor? They only get used when you first create the corridor?
Is there something I am missing or is this the intended workflow?

When I open the Corridor Section Editor, the Ribbon changes to the Section Editor ribbon, but the section window doesn't come up. If I pan around, parts of the drawing disappear. If I close the editor and regen, everything comes back.
Below is the current status of our working view in the 2014 Corridor Section Editor. I can't see us getting any value for our investment into Civil 3D 2014, before Civil 3D 2015 comes out now.
The polar opposite is actually true, we had too much downtime encountering, analyzing and reporting product defects, and it affected profitability and capability.

When I get into my section editor, the view is zoomed out too far. is there a way to change the width of this view? i looked in display options, but may have skipped over the solution.

The assembly represents a new path alongside an existing road and I wanted to use the centerline of the road as the main baseline. I have successfully built the corridor and was able to build the Sample Line and Sample Views. However, I am not able to view the sections in the Section Editor. As soon as I try to get into the Section Editor, I get the error message "No station found". The stations are large, 500+00 and up, so I tried changing the BOP to 0+00, but that had no effect. I tend to think it's a result of not having any subassembly attached directly to the main alignment, only to offset alignments. I'm running the 2011 version.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have a project where the alignment is not in the center of the section (it's along one edge of the project), but we want the Title Annotation ("STA. 165+00") to show up in the center of the sections.
If you choose "Center" justification in the style, it "centers" it about the zero offset, which in our case is actually the left side.
Is there any way to truly center this call, short of turning it OFF and manually creating separate labels?
Unfortunately, I can't use "Center" and give it a "Y" offset, because the alignment does vary slightly (±30 feet) within these 250' cross sections - which would cause the label to vary by that much also...
What could be the trick with corridor section editor in C3D 2014, applying overrides to a stations range won't work. After selecting or typing end station in the 'apply to a station range' prompt nothing happens, the overrides just will not be applied.
To apply overrides for an subassembly (curb depth etc) I must go through all the stations set by corridor frequency in the station range. This is not file specific, as it is the case with all my projects.
I've worked with LDD for 11 yrs. Last week the IT guys changed my PC to Windows 7 64bit, so I can't have LDD and I have to work with C3D. so I am following software tutorials.
for designing a road I created:
alignment ---> surface profile ---> layout profile (project line) ---> assembly ---> subassemblies ---> corridor ---> set target surface and frequencies
Corridor is created with daylights ,but I don't see existing ground in corridor section editor.
There is nothing about this in tutorial. Also I don't know how to calculate the volumes, in LDD after this stage we could calculate the volumes. i think in C3D I should do more for calculation.
I'm having a random issue with the daylight ties lopes not tieing to the EG surface at all stations in the Corridor Section Editor. Some stations daylight fine. In plan view the daylight lines vary left & right as expected but don't display at all in Section Editor.

The changes show correctly in the section editor and section view, however, when I plot the cross sections some of these added stations do not show the overrides. They are showing the original assembly group parameters. How do I get all the cross sections to reflect the edited data from the section editor?

The cut and fill areas are hatched solid and I want them set as another hatch style but after attempting to adjust the pattern it does not change. How does one change this and have it show? What I would like to achieve is a section band style for bulk earthworks and simple access roads that shows the design level at Grade Breaks only. The problem I am having is that Grade Breaks are being recognised as where the sample line crosses a triangle, not where the the grade actually changes/crosses a feature line.
A have a number of simple platforms, that I have created using an infill from feature lines, usually these platforms are surrounded entirely by feature lines of the same height. As to be expected, Civil 3d creates a few flat triangles, and as a consequence, all of the points where the sample line crosses these show up on my band style. Is there any way to achieve this band style?
