AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Rotate Drawing In Viewport

How do I rotate the drawing in viewport?
I want to have my profile and alignment to be in the same orientation on paper space. I have VPROTATEASSOC set to 1. I am not sure if I am using UCS and MVSETUP correctly. All information will work.

Drawing started in LDD a few years ago. It was on a local coordinate system of 1000,1000.
The drawing has since been migrated to C3D2012. Now we have data in UTM coordinates that we need to match to the old data. Actually, we want to shift/rotate the entire original set of data to match the new UTM data, so we can continue in UTM for all future data collection.
So, I went through and turned all layers on, Thawed them and unlocked them. I made sure all points were visable, etc. Then I tried to move the original data (I also tried the align command, etc., with the same results) and found a glitch. After I moved the data, I found that there was some points and survey figures as well as a cooridore, that had not moved. The vast majority of the drawing had moved as expected, but the afore mentioned data would not move.

Is it possible to rotate the point labels when working with point files from an elevation Survey in Ciivil 3D? When activating the labels visibility they are horizontal, but when I rotate the drawing to a side view I am can´t see them.
So far I was working with Autocad (importing a dxf). Is there a way to rotate at the same time all the points labels, wich in this case are just text items?

I am currently working on a culvert drawing, using two view ports for my plan and profile sheet. As you can see below in my attachment, the UCS icon in the upper viewport is distorted, I do not how this occurred nor do I know how to correct it.

I've got multiple viewports, some need to be orientated as portrait and others need to be landscape.
How can this be done without affecting the other viewports?

I was in paperspace, clicked in the viewport to do something in model space and a compass with north south east and west showed up in the top right corner of my viewport. When I clicked on it, my x-ref rotated. How in the world do I re create this? I have no clue how I even accessed it or what command prompted this to happen.

Are there any commands other than DVIEW that allow you to rotate your model space ONLY in the active viewport?

I have a site survey that I am having rotation issues with.
In the model space the drawing is rotated so when I draw a vertical line it points up (which is what I am used to). However in the paper space, the drawing is automatically rotated so that north is now pointing up, and if I attempt to draw a normal vertical line as i did in the model space the line now points NE.
How can I rotate the view of the viewport in paper space so that my lines as vertical and horizontal. This would not be such an issue if it was just a plan, but I have drawn sections that just look ridiculous.

I have a drawing with a viewport that fits to the page. And I created another smaller viewport over top that just shows the legend. Now when I try to double click inside the smaller viewport it always goes into the larger one. I have tried bringing the smaller one to the front but that didn't work. I know that I can clip the larger viewport around the smaller one or bring the legend right into paperspace or slid the smaller one off to the side work in it and slide it back. This is more out of curiosity of how to get into the smaller viewport.

I have a drawing in dwg that's drawn vertically. By that i mean the texts seem to have been rotated at 90 degree. It's drawn by someone else. I darenot rotate it back fearing i might stuff up the coordinates. But it's hard to see as i need to bend my head to be able to read the drawing and all the texts in it.
Is it possible that without rotating the actual drawing, we can actually somehow set it to something more readable for example, rotate it back to vertical kind of angle. I heard it can be done with view. But i just don't know how to do that.
I use autocad LT 2005.

Moments ago my crosshairs in the model space decided to rotate. I tried to undo, but apparently the damage is done.
I came across a thread on another website about trying UCS, world & plan etc which I tried.
While this did rotate my crosshairs to be straight and normal again, it rotated all of my drawings I have numerous sections on the page and unfortunately they all became rotated.
Is there a way to rotate the crosshairs and not change my drawing?

how can i rotate a drawing view in model space and paper space? UCS -> new -> 3 point -> and saving the view works, but trying to figure out how to do this with paper space now. My purpose if for pulling construction lines from plans, for elevations. In the past I simply rotated the drawing, but if i had a layer turned off it would mess up their positioning.

I wonder is there is a quicker way to rotate your drawing in the models to organize them in the layout?
This isn't fast and convient at all to rotate your hole drawing to fit it in the landscape paper for example.
I know I've read something in the past about a new way of doing it, but can't remember.

I'm using AutoCAD 2010, working with a drawing created by someone else. I'm completely green with AutoCAD -- never used 2D CAD of any kind before. (I do have 15 year of experience with 3D CAD, but that's not much use to me now!)
The drawing is a shop floor plan, with each piece of a equipment as a block. I am moving or copying these blocks, sometimes to new layers. Sometimes, after I've moved a block to a new layer, I can no longer rotate it. The rotate command seems to work, but nothing happens.
Here's what I've tried so far:
* Checked if the layer is locked. (It's not; no layers are locked.)
* Tested other blocks. (They behave normally.)
* Toggled ortho mode on and off. (No change.)
* Closed and re-opened the file. (No change.)
* Closed and re-opened AutoCAD. (No change.)
* Rebooted. (No change.)
One guy took my drawing, "exploded the blocks" (whatever that means), and gave it back to me. The blocks would then rotate but, as soon as I started working with another one the same thing happened.

I am working on a drawing I have been sent by a consultant and having difficulties setting up the vport extents I need when using two vports. If I marquee zoom to what I want in one viewport it reverts to full extents as soon as I click on the other vport. I never had this before. Is there an obvious solution?

I just had to reinstall AutoCAD this week for being a very bad boy. Now, when I switch between open files, my screen goes blank. It takes a regen to get all my stuff to appear again.
It even goes blank in my viewport... I have to go into the viewport and regen separately from the main drawing.

I am trying to plot a drawing with a viewport (of a 3D planview) in paperspace. The viewport has the "3D Hidden" shade plot property applied. The plot preview shows all the entities color-by-layer. I am plotting with a plot style that assigns all colors to black. Typically the plot preview shows all linework black when plotting with this plot style applied. The resulting plot (from an Oce tds700) shows the linework in a "grayscale" quality, not the normal solid black linework typically associated with a 2D viewport plotted on the same plotter with same plot style.

I'm creating a new project drawing and have x-ref'd my base drawing onto the sheet to be plotted. I can see the base drawing thru the viewport while in layout, but once I try and preview my plot the drawing inside the viewport is not visible. that is, I can see the preview of my sheet border & title block, but nothing within the viewport shows on the preview screen.

I have an autocad drawing that has a building floor plan.
I need to "rotate the building 90 degrees" or "rotate the USC 90 degrees" in order to line the building up to TRUE project north (architect has a Revit model oriented to true north that I need to match when we combine our files in Navisworks)
I have tried DVIEW > Twist.. which I thought was it, it rotated my drawing, but the USC rotated with it. I tried the USCFOLLOW with no luck.
Also tried going into UNITS > DIRECTION and tried VP with no luck.
I understand that I can just select the entire floor plan and manually rotate it BUT, the building is not easy "shape" to work with, so it is next to impossible finding the "center" of my drawing to rotate it (I need this to be brough into Navisworks WITHOUT rotating the file again)
You would think this would be very simple to do and take 30 seconds. I have googled everything with no luck. I just need to change my True north
- doing this in modelspace
- needs to be align with a Revit model already oreinted to true north
- just need to rotate the drawing OR UCS 90 degrees, but can't find the "center" of the drawing
