I have a current subscription for Civil 3D. How/where do I find the SSA 2013 extension? I've logged on to my subscription page, but cannot find it listed (SSA 2011 is the most current available).

I have 4 gb of memory and a i7 processor, i think this computer can handle at least 20 redos...
Is there a way to boost the redo number?
i have downloaded autocad on a new computer and i am amazed i can draw and dimension at the same time.
first of all how do you ENABLE and disable this option because the other autocad app that i have on another computer doesn't work like this and second, how come the delete button doesn't work and how to enable this option because right now i have to use other features such as Trim and it's slow.
how can i enable my autocad to pop out the font substitute dialog box? i have accidentally make it default to ignore all missing font, but now i can't enable it to pop out again as it cause me to lost information of text from customers files.

I want to open multiple drawings in the same AutoCAD window by double clicking a dwg file like I have always done. Is this still possible in 2013?
I've downloaded the trial for 3ds Max 2013 x64 to see whether it meets our requirements. I need to write a DirectX Shader Material using D3D10 syntax and features. The doc page [URL] ..... "You can use this material only when you are using the Direct3D Display driver and DirectX 9.0 or DirectX 10.0 is chosen as the Direct3D version." It says we can use D3D9 or D3D10 shaders.
However, I can't find any way of switching to D3D10 mode. There's no option to do so in the driver selection page or the options for the D3D driver. Even the supplied "default10.fx" shader doesn't work - loading it just produces error messages implying it's being compiled for D3D9 syntax.
How do I get this to work?
i completeley uninstalled civil 3d 2011 off my laptop and trying to download either 2012 or 2013 but it wont give me an option to download either...I get the product keys but nothing else

I didn't know there was a special way to delete adobe application so i just dragged it into a program called app cleaner and it deleted all the files. But it won't let me put cs6 photoshop on my computer because it still thinks i have cs6 photoshop beta. how can i get photoshop back onto my computer.

View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, I am unable to use the iMate feature of Autodesk Inventor. I am unable to select iMates on existing parts to assemble them with other parts. I have followed all the instructions for using iMate features, but I always run into trouble because, even though I did indeed enable iMate glyph visibility, and I did do all the other stuff they said, when I click on the iMate glyph, nothing happens. It is as if they weren't even there at all. Selecting the iMates from the project browser on the left doesn't work either; while I am able to select the features, I am unable to move the parts or select any other iMates, except as a group selection, which doesn't let me do anything, either.

I think I have a list of commands and tools to be used but for the life of me I cannot turn on the VIEW CUBE...I spent about 90 minutes trying last night.I did look in options and it was not visible there?
Apparently the occurrences tab setting aren't easily accessible through the code snippets in ilogic.
How would one go about writing a rule that, in essense, would say:

I've been reading that LOD's and suppression aren't the best course of action for assemblies especially when you're dealing with 20-40 parts as I am. I've got an assembly and parts controlled by a spreadsheet and when things are clicked off in the spreadsheet they need to be off in the model/drawings/bills etc. I have it working (to an extent) with suppression of parts in the assembly, but that casues LOD errors in the drawings. Research says parts are best disabled which is what i'm trying to do.
Is it possible to enable all Items to start at 101 as opposed to 1??
We can change this by simply renumbering each time but can we get Inventor to always start from 101?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have recently found the feature of copying the model iProperties to the drawing would be beneficial to searching for files in our ERP database. I am looking for a way to turn on the ability to copy model iProperties and select which properties to copy with a macro. There are several articles showing how to enable the feature and several ways to macro the same process. I have not been able to find a way to turn it on with a macro.
We plan to adjust our templates to enable the feature on all new drawings and add additional custom iProperties to the models that were previously only used in the drawings. I have wrote a macro to add iProperties to existing models that didn't have them when they were created. Now I am looking for a way to enable everything in the drawing. I see a great benefit to clicking a single button to enable the copy model iProperties feature and select several iProperties that will be copied without having to do it manually for every old drawing.
Is there a way to access the check box to enable this and to select properties within the API? If not, would creating a macro to do the copy from the model to the drawing be the best way to create that functionality in an older drawing or not? We have a little program that will give programmatic control over the mouse but creating code to access the feature that way would be more hassle than teaching our users to manually check the boxes.
I tried to open / import a STEP .stp file into Inventor 2012. I selected all of the options to Autostitch and Promote. But I noticed that I could not select Enable Advance Healing.
1) Is there a reason I can't?
2) is there a better way opening / importing .stp files?

We receive site survey dwgs generated in Civil 3D that contain 3D topos with elevation tags. The elevation tags are clearly scalabe anno objects that scale correctly in the received civil dwg. The elevation tags won't scale correctly in our dwgs - they come in too small to see.
- Both dwg's have units set to decimal.
- I tried copying / pasting the viewport from the civil dwg to our dwg and the text is still too small. This tells me it's a dwg specific variable and not a viewport setting.
- I have Civil 3D object enabler installed, though I don't think this has any bearing.
It would be nice to use the original tags and not have to re-create every elevation tag.
I'm having a problem plotting to pdf (using ScanSoft Pdf Pro 4) causing Autocad Civil 3d: Infrastructure Design Suite.
When I plot in Civil 3d 2009 I have no problems but we recently switched to Autocad Civil 3d: Infrastructure Design Suite and when I try to plot a pdf 24x36 it looks correct in the plot preview but my final pdf size comes out 36x36. I have tried everything I know...

I can't just save as an earlier version and plot in C3d 2009 because my alignments gets screwy.
We've recently done some work for an engineering firm, and have also recently upgraded to Civil 2013.
It turns out they are using Civil 2011, and obviously are unable to open our drawing. As far as I'm aware, they need a TIN surface and cogo points, but I'm unsure of how to provide them with this other than reproccessing the job on an older version of Civil.
I'm thinking that I might be able to export to LandXML to keep all my points and surface, and then just export to Autocad 2010 for the linework?
I get the following message when I try to access it from the menu.
"EditInSSA cannot be used because the optional feature is not installed on this machine"
When I look to modify a deployment I cannot find the option to add SSA.
Looks like something to do with 360 is cause C3D2013 to hang on startup. I have to kill the AcSettingSync.exe service to in Resource Monitor to make 2013 un-freeze.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI need to import .dgn elevation data (DEM?) into Civil 3D. When I attempt MAPIMPORT, DGNIMPORT, DGNATTACH, or from the "Insert" ribbon selecting "Import" and .dgn as the file type, Civil 3D will not respond and has to be closed and reopened.
The information likely includes surface and/or breakline information. Please see the attached (change file format from .txt to .dgn).
And if Civil 3D 2013 simply cannot import this information, does the Infrastructure Design Suite/Civil3D 2014 can?
In using 2013 I noticed when I delete a feature line which is added to a surface as a breakline it does not delete it from the surface. Even after a rebuild the surface does not update. I am having to go into the toolspace and manually delete the breaklines from the surface list.
