What setting controls the rotation of leader tails? Specifically in point labels. My dragged point labels maintain their orientation, as I want, with Plan Readability set to False and Dragged State Components - Display set to As composed. But the leader tails are horizontal to the view rotation.

I placed all my leaders (mleaders were used) and text, then I had to change my viewport rotation 180 deg. Now all my text is upside down. I change my UCS to view and new mleaders and text (which I don't need, I've already labeled everything) come in at the correct orientation, but all my original labels are rotated. How can I make these labels update? I'd really like to avoid having to relabel everything.

I want to add the leader part to the leader that is created when I drag a Station Offset label. This would be the part in a three point leader that goes horizontal for a short distance before the label text begins, similar to how a multi-leader is created. Looks weird having the C3D labels be the only "leadered" noted be without the landing.
Is there anyway to prevent AutoCAD from converting a MTEXT leader with a block element attached to a BLOCK leader when doing a copy/paste? See screen shot.

in 2012 I saved a layerstate and it shows in the dialog but if I change the stet to another and go back none of the settings are held.

what is the trick for holding triangulation within a surface boundary? I recall a setting somewhere but can't seem to find it... attached graphic, would like to hold the surface triangulation within the arcs which are in the surface definition as boundary
View 5 Replies View RelatedI noticed when you put in vertical parabolic curves onto the profile tangents it will ask you if you want length or k.
however depend on which one you specify. it will hold on to that value when it comes to changing the tangent locations. for what i am doing now i want k by default. but accidentally i put in length because i just went through all the pi's quickly to put in the curves. but i see no control which allows you to control which type to hold. this is a property inside the vertical curve but it's not exposed to user. once you create by length that's it. until you delete the curve and re enter using k then it will hold k.

I am creating a block for my details. I want to be able to title my block and the the line under my txt will change it's length based on the lenght of the text. I keep playing with the constraints, but I haven't found one that is doing what I want.

Is there a way to have the Arrow leader convert to Loop leader in one click. Our company standards use diamond tags and sometimes i have to change the arrow to loop by inserting a leader.

Please see attachment. There are two structure label styles in the attachment. The one on the bottom has the leader attached to the edge of the structure and the one on the top has the leader attached to the centre of the structure. How do I change the attachment point for the top label so the leader attaches to the edge of the structure as the bottom label does? Can't seem to find the parameter to change??

View 5 Replies View RelatedHere is the setup, I received a survey base from another firm. All of there leaders of text are actually cogo points with labels. I have xrefed the file into my sheet file and rotated the view, so obviously nothing looks like I want. Typically I bring the text forward into my sheet and manipulate it here, but it is attached to a cogo point. I could copy the points and label styles into my current drawing, but this doesn't sound like the best practice. What is a good way to overcome this challenge?

When I use qleader with mtext annotation , The arrow and texts are inserted as two unit. I can rember there was a facility to use this two objects as a one unit.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a road construction ahead sign where I have hatched the background orange (color 30) as a mask since I am using an air photo for the drawing background. The block is fine until I try to use it in a multi leader, then the hatch color switches to block and I can't read the text. The block was created on the same layer as it is inserted. How do I get the orange hatch to show as orange in the multi leader block? See the attached screen shot.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI created this label for my pipe crossing. I want to be able to start the vertical line at the invert, and be able to move the text up and down and have the line adjust.
Currently my dragged state has the arrow head size as 0 and visibility as false, since it starts the leader at the centerline of the pipe. But without using the leader, I cannot adjust the vertical line dynamically.
When I drag text away from my point there is no leader. I have gone thru everything I can think of in Label and Point styles. I know its probably a simple fix. Somewhere down the rabbit hole is a box that needs/or not a check.

Now I'm stuck with the dot leader and I want to reset it back. I use dot and arrow head a lot.
I am making a template file having title block with fields. I use this template for creating layouts and sheets using Sheet Set Manager and the fields will be updated from the data of SSM. Now i would like to add a dynamic north block to my template. The block could be rotated (i have this block in file itself) and rotation angle could be inserted. Now how can i add a custom field to SSM so that i could set a rotation angle for the project and thus every new layout or sheet created using the template has the north block rotated with the angle mentioned in SSM.

I have have an aligned dimension that does not rotate in a paper space print window. Contour labels, alignment labels all rotate except for the dimension.

For my dimension style, I have my text placement set to over dimension line, with leader, so I can drag the actual text outside the dimension line with a leader attached when necessary, but when I try to move the text outside of the dimension line it always draws the leader underlining the entire piece of text that I have moved. Is there a way to control the leader to attach to the middle of the line and not underline the entire piece of text when doing this operation?

When you pull the note text out so that you have a leader, the leader does not plot per the plot style assigned to the layer that the note is set to display on on the General tab. It appears as the proper color and freezes with the layer properly, but it plots with the settings of the plot style assigned to layer 0. Is there a reason that the leaders don't use the plot style setting form the layer it is displayed on?
