Isn't there a terra cotta 12" flr slab that comes w/ the program? I could swear I've seen it before, but I opened up the imperial Slab & Slab Edge Styles dwg and there isn't a tile slab (or material) in there?
We are working on AutoCAD Arch 2012 and there is a custom edge profile we are using but we cannot get the profile to visualy turn off. We have placed it on its own layer and still can't turn it off.
This worked fine when we were in '04 - but it isn't working in '12... is this a bug?
ACA 2011...what the best way was to add rafter tails to a roof slab. Someone responded (and even attached a dwg) of a way to do it with a curtain wall. I'm not very well versed in curtain walls, though I get around okay with door & window assemblies, and they seem similar, I just don't really know what differentiates them within the program. That aside, any way to create exposed rafter tails more efficiently than arraying mass elements?

I have a gable roof slab that intersects with the wall. I want to trim the insulation board along the bottom of the roof slab, and show the CMU above the roof slab.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a slab with a edge style for a thicken slab (haunch). I have the materials for both objects identical. When I make a 2d section, the slab on top of the haunch does not clean up with the haunch on the bottom. When I go ACA out of the box slab & slab edge styles, there is a thicken slab (slab with haunch) live section the way it should look. I can't reproduce it even when I bring it in to my drw. from the out-of-box Does it have something to do with 2d section? This might sound simple but I'm just not able to figure it out how to make things cleanup.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter having a problem projecting my walls to my roof slab (flat roof), which worked fine in previous sessions; and then trying the standard solutions of making sure my walls clean up properly, etc., I determined the problem was actually in that the walls do not like to project to a roof with components. In my last work session, I added a component to my roof. I switched back to a "standard" roof slab, projected the walls, and then switched back again to my roof with components.

I tried to rebuilt the file and reinstall but that doesn't seem to work. Also rather than opening at least 2 drawing (or more) now results in seperate sessions rather than 1 session with 2 or more files. What the setting is that I need to update?

2. In section 2, the first floor walls ends in 90 degrees angle at the roof. Can the walls be edited so that the joint line with the roof follow the roof slope?
I have Photoshop CS5 installed on my C drive. I recently bought an external terra drive and want to move Photoshop to the terra drive, as the C drive is pretty full and it's effecting PS's functionality. Do I have to uninstall and then reinstall on the external drive?

I just need appropriate layers to draw some columns / beams and slab with basic reo in Metric format (model will be drawn in mm's). A simple A3 layout with title block would also be nice
I have tried googling for template downloads but all I got was a bunch of sites telling me how to make my own (rather not waste my time) and that Autocad should have come with some available (none had more than 2 layers).
I want to create jig to insert hallow slab (polyline) everything works fine until I am trying to use an added keyword for rotation then Autocad crashes really bad (no error information). Here is a code, in comment place where program crashes.

I originally created a slab with the full version of Autodesk Revit 2013 with POINTS to create a slope to the slab. There does not seem to be a way to edit those points with Autodesk Revit LT. There appears to be an alternate method in the LT version to create slopes utilizing slope arrows. So is SLOPE EDITING no longer a feature with LT?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had a request from on of our users to replicate something that has been done for years in 2D CAD. They want a marker to show changes in floor levels that look something like this:-
The annotation needs to be able to read the slab on either side of the step marker and hopefully if possible the difference be represented as text. The datum levels are secondary and it is really the depth of the step that seems to be more important. I do however want to avoid these being just dumb text as if/when the design evolves someone will forget to modify the text.
Here is an example of a few showing two steps in the slab and the results we would want.
I have tried loading/nesting a standard spot level in thinking if I had two in an annotation that this might work, but I was unable to even place a spot marker within the family which makes some sense I suppose.
Is this even technically possible...? I realize the origin usually determines what hosts the family and how, but I guess we are looking for something with a double origin, which is why I think this may not be possible...?
I am looking to create an irregular concrete slab, with barrel vaulted ceilings on a small radial section of a circular slab, and a a parabolically curved upper section to the slab, and a large punched hole in the middle of the slab. To this point, I have been able to achieve this using multiple components and masses, but I was wondering if there was a way to make a single object with a single solid material that may be able to achieve the same effect. I have attached a section for ease of explanation.

Rivet stops working and shuts down after I try and load "sand" into the material column. The same thing happens when I tried to load "gravel". Interestingly enough, "Earth" can be loaded with no problems.

I need to create a hatch pattern for a flooring tile that we have currently starting using and I am having real issues getting it to work!! The pattern is meant to be tiles set in a brick type style but with a rolling offset, but the tiles are different sizes - I have one row of 300x600, then a second row of 148 x 600, then another row of 300x600, then another 300x600, then a row of 148x 600, followed by another 148x600. This is the pattern end and needs to repeat itself. I have attached a line drawing of what it needs to look like.
I can get a very basic line drawing showing 300mm and 148mm for the first two lines but then it all goes wrong!
I am test driving LT2000i and currently use AutoSketch.
I do not own a plotter and would like to know if It is possible to "plot tile" a 24 x 36 into 8 pages of 8 1/2 x 11 for printing from a Cannon C3500. If not, do you have any suggestions on how to manipulate paper space to print 8 areas of model space to obtail the same result as "tiling" in AutoSketch?
Is there a quick way of profiling topography under a undulating concrete floor slab? In other words so that the topography follows the underside surface of the slab. I know this is possible by adjusting each point on the topo surface but is there a quicker way?

We have also been changing the sheet name in the browser to match this. If the sheet number changes, we have to change both. Can the sheet name from the browser be used in the tile block? I couldn't seem to locate it under any of the properties.
Our ultimate goal is to use Ilogic to read and write the sheet numbers from a master Excel sheet. I haven't been able to find any reference to Ilogic working with prompted entries.

I have to use concrete hollow core slab in my project, but I was wondering, if it is possible that the hollow core slab automatically adjust itself to the width of the room. I have attached a screen-shot of the problem, where the the last hollow core slab overlap the beam. I can manually change the width of the last beam, but it would take a lot time, moreover if I change the dimension of the overlapped beam, then i have to readjust the last hollow core slab.

After selecting the whole drawing and seeing the drawing in blue grips. When ever I try to drag the drawing from one window to the other I just a couple of lines at the most in the new window. Asking if there is another way to get around this without dragging.

How can I get the origin to be the same at any angle and the hatch start with a full tile????????
What is the code to call an image tile menu from a lisp command. I currently have a menu item that calls this image tile menu: $I=TYPSMBL1 $I=* but I want to have a keyboard shortcut as well "SL".

I have a lisp that asks for the name of the image then should insert the image at its coordinate with a predefined scale and rotation but it isn't working so I would like an alternative method to test.
