I am trying to model a coil for a tattoo machine. I have all of the helixs made to replicate the wire wrapping around the bobbin of the coil but i cannot figure out how to get the helixs to blend together smoothly. I.E. have the end of the inner coil bend outward gradually to meet the starting end of the next level helix.
I am trying to make a model of coil cord cable (looks like phone cable) in the autodesk inventor10. I know to make a model of the coil cord when it is straight, but how can i make the coil cord model when it is folder.
create a G-code from an AutoCAD desktop 3D model of a 1911 pistal grip saved as a DXF file. I have a CNC 6040 3 axis routing machine. I have tried to load the DXF file as an import but the file is not recognized by the Mach3 software.
I have downloaded a lisp comand for my AutoiCAD program which is supposed to generate a G-code within Autocad but It doesnt recongnized some 3D elements. I am having a dificult time getting the generater to read a "mesh" 3D form to generate a G-code. I hope this doesnt sound all too confusing... the bottom line is I cant seem to get a G-code out of a 3D CAD form....way to generate smoothly a G-code from an AutoCAD 3D form?
I am trying to figure out how to get autocad2014 and our company's cnc machine to communicate.
The machine uses Solid Ultimate with Screen-to-machine software.
From what ive gathered, I can save my drawing as a R12, R13, R14 version dxf file, which is what is needed for the two programs to talk to each other. The problem is, when i save the dxf file, it saves paper space, not model space. Therefore, all that comes into the cnc program is a titleblock or whatever else I had on the page in paper space.
In 3D drawing, how can I bring (or paste) a logo (JPEG format) on equipment . For instance logo of a company on a machine. How to do that in AutoCAD not Inventor.
I am trying to transfer a standalone copy of autocad 2013 from one machine to another. I have already uninstalled it from the old pc, and when I got to install it on the new pc it asks for registration. When I put in the numbers it tells me that it is not valid.
How can i De-activate it from the old pc if it is already uninstalled?
I am running AutoCAD 2013 on Windows 7 on a virtual machine (Fusion) on my mac (Macbook Pro (late 2008), OS 10.6.8, 2.53 GHz, 8GB Ram.
I want to delete Fusion from my machine and use Bootcamp to run AutoCAD instead. Before I delete my virtual Windows machine and uninstall Fusion, I want to make sure that I have a copy of all supporting files for AutoCAD so that when I reinstall it in Bootcamp, I can restore all present functionality.
I am not very knowledgeable about AutoCAD or PCs in general, so I don't know what I don't know. In other words, I know that there are files that AutoCAD uses that I have created knowlingly or not that are important to be reinstalled so that the program continues to work how I am used to, but I don't know what all these files are, or where they are stored. The most obvious example are .ctb files that I have created over the past several years that have moved automatically with each upgrade. There are surely other aspects of customization that exist in files kept somewhere, that AutoCAD references, but again, I don't know where all such files are kept.
Any best method for gathering all such files so that I can copy them to a thumbdrive and then reinstall in Bootcamp, once I've re-installed AutoCAD?
When I zoom in or zoom out the model, normally the dimension will follow the model too.But now in Autocad 2013, even the model size change, the dimension still remain unchange. why? Is there any setting I miss out? URL....
Got a new computer. Copied and upgraded Photoshop CS2 to CS5. I would like to give the old computer to a family member or friend. Will they be able to use the CS2 on the old machine? (an iMac 10.6) or is that the end of that CS2?
I have a b+w image which i've overlaid on a pic but now i need to make it look really real. have messed with opacity etc. but still not quite there. think i'd like to make image displaced to match contours of arms muscle. how do i do this?
I've been wanting this tattoo on a background of white for some time now and since I am incapable of doing it myself I have came with the request of one of you making this. Here is the base picture on the far right there should be a perfect view.
I would like to turn a portrait photo into a tattoo to place on someones body. Does anyone have any idea of how to achieve this?
I've attemted to use some filters and also tried to turn the image into a line drawing using Filter>other>highpass and then filter>sketch>note paper, but it still doesn't look convincing. Once the image is turned into a tattoo everything except the drawing will need to be transparent.
My buddy(tattoo artist) has a pencil drawing that he wants cleaned up, and printed for a tattoo.
Other than all the manual goodies are there any quicker methods? He has a big ol stack of drawings and I dont want to work on them all if I have to do everything touch up here and touch up there.
As a photographer I'm usually concerned with trying to minimise the impact of forearm hair on models - but not in this case!My subject was wearing tattoo 'sleeves' which I want to make look more authentic, possibly including the addition of forearm hair.
I created a simple spiraled coil IV10, and in my IDW I can't place a center mark in the center of the spiral. How do you dimensiom this? I also want to dimension ID and I can't. Something that you would think is so simple is holding me up.
Im using Inventor 2013 and im trying to make a tapered coil but instead of creating it with a liner taper i want a curved taper. Is there a way to create this (perhaps using guide curves like loft feature?)
I was wondering if there is any possible way to flat pattern a coil. Attached is a picture of what I am trying to flat pattern. Its a quarter turn of a full coil.
I am trying to draw an elliptical coil spring with top and bottom radius of 2 in and center radius of 3 in with 5 turns and spring ht of 5 in. the wire guage is 0.1in.
I could draw a cylindrical spring with helix and sweep command but don't know how to draw an elliptical coil spring. What are the commands or steps to get it. Also, I have problems in getting dimensions of radius and height for the coil spring. I use autocad 2014.
I'm trying to create a coil spring to go around a long bolt for bracing. I'm using AutoCAD 2011 MEP. I need to know how to make the path for the spring so I can sweep it, it does not have to be super accurate size-wise (it's more for representation purposes) but would still like to know how to do it..
How to cut the coil feature out of the block. I have included the file. I thought the split command would be it but was not able to do anything with it.
I'm looking for making this part. I'm trying to make a pipe that is bent into a donut so the two ends are connected. Then theres a coil around the pipe.
I would like to get a tattoo involving Eddie from the cover of Dance of Death. How to remove everything in this picture except Eddie and the black/white/yellow design on the floor.
getting a tattoo as a symbol of my heritage and birthplace. I have this picture from a license plate and separate the boat from the rest of the plate and change the red sails to green (left sail), white (middle sail), and pink (right sail).
