getting a tattoo as a symbol of my heritage and birthplace. I have this picture from a license plate and separate the boat from the rest of the plate and change the red sails to green (left sail), white (middle sail), and pink (right sail).

a really simplen example would be several instances of the same button graphic but with different labels.
I know these things are possible in Fireworks, but couldn't find a way to make it happen in Illustrator.
In PSE 9 when I "sometimes" save a picture, I get a broken picture symbol. I have gone to file/reconnect and this does not work. I can't figure out what I'm doing different when this happens, as it only happens now and then.
View 10 Replies View RelatedA user in Flash gets a picture, prepared with the inside of the box blank. The user selects a jpg color picture and fills the box. This is done by creating a point zone. (1) a way for flash to be texturized or painted.
No 1 is the box after is filled by the user. That is now.
No2 is the image, if I make the background blank as well as the inside.
No3 Is the image I need (nothing around it)
No 4 Is the background
No 5 Is if I use picture No1 (as I am doing now)
No6 Is if I use picture No2 (blanking the surrounding area as well the inside of the box)
No 7 Is I what I want.
Question: How do I convert No1 without the area around to look like and be like No3 as a symbol ? By converting the image to a symbol or an Icon, then how can this be accomplished?
I need to change the color of the M and [R] in this text, allow me to set the stage.
To create this symbol you type the Letter M, change the font to our companys symbol text and the following characters then follow. However when editing the text it is recognized as a single character. I have changed the text to outlines, however it still changes every letter when I change the color. I have went into isolation mode and it still changes every color.
I have a b+w image which i've overlaid on a pic but now i need to make it look really real. have messed with opacity etc. but still not quite there. think i'd like to make image displaced to match contours of arms muscle. how do i do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a way to add a welding symbol to an existing fillet weld. When I am creating a fillet weld, I get a chance to create a welding symbol based on the fillet weld size.
If this is not done when the weld is created, there is no way to add this notation. I don't have the "Create Welding Symbol" checkbox when editing an existing weld. The only solution is to delete the weld and recreate it.
I am trying to link the welds in the iam with the weld notes in the idw.
I've been wanting this tattoo on a background of white for some time now and since I am incapable of doing it myself I have came with the request of one of you making this. Here is the base picture on the far right there should be a perfect view.

I've attemted to use some filters and also tried to turn the image into a line drawing using Filter>other>highpass and then filter>sketch>note paper, but it still doesn't look convincing. Once the image is turned into a tattoo everything except the drawing will need to be transparent.

I have played around with it and got quite good results which you can see here but still not quite right if you see what i mean. I am desperate to get this right.
What I would like to do is create a custom dialogue for each of 3 or 4 standard sketch symbols we use on a regular basis. I'd like to load 'suggsted' values out of an excel spreadsheet and allow the user to pick from them or enter in a custom text string if required. The values would then become part of the sketch symbol.
I've spent some time looking into iLogic rules and I think I've determined that they're not flexible enough to do what I want.
If I'm correct, it is possible (or a good idea) to do this using a VBA macro? I'm a little hesitant to go down the full blown add-in route. While I'm pretty confident I could work it out.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm getting some erratic results with PSPX4. I download my CR2 canon files to lightroom, process, export as Tiif or jpeg, then open in PSPX4. I then edit the pic resize to 800x600 jpeg, quality 3. The file is usually about 300-400 kb, a jpeg. I have a couple of files that are corrupted on resizing and are only 12.0 kb in size. I can't upload to my website, - the error message says they are corrupted. I'm not getting it with every file, but two in the last batch of ten files processed had this effect.
I tried restarting the program, same effect on those two files. I tried reprocessing in lightroom again , exporting as jpeg and tiff, same result. I can save the files out of PSPX4 as png format, no problem, no corruption.My workflow is the same across a large number of files, - hundreds of em, normally no problem. Just can't figure out what would cause this erratic problem.
I can open and save the problem files in gimp, which makes me think the problem is specific to PSPX4, but why does it not affect every file, only 20%??? Tried re installing PSPX4, no difference.Below is one of the problem jpegs file straight from Lightroom, before I load it into PSPX4.
When I click on a picture to edit (new or old) I get this message. "File name XXXX is offline or is missing" I can not do anything (edit, export, anything!) What does this mean and how do I fix it? Why did this happen? I am still using LR2.
