my CAD 2013 and Revit 2013 crashs in the open screen only..i use Windows 8 .CAD 2013 days an error saying 'The security system (softlock license manager) is not functioning or is improperly installed,.. I did try ticking the netframes from the windows on/off settings and still end up with a softlock error..

View 3 Replies View Relatedcreative cloud says cs6 and photoshop cc are up to date so I cannot install from there. this laptop is giving me grief ie MSPaint won't save in png and gif formats and Paint,NET that I taught myself on and still use quite a bit crashes if I open either png or gif and won't save them either. This is the laptop that has ithe Intel Pentium graphic processor on it that best supports PS. another question, do we uninstall CS6 once CC is up and running.

A customer specific font has been installed in Windows and shows up in Notepad, Microsoft Office 2010 and other programs including Photoshop CS6. For InDesign I had to copy it to the "Programdirectory"Fonts folder and this worked fine. Only Illustrator CS6 doesn't show this Font (a TrueType font "cust.ttf") as available when I want to format a text with it. I've searched Google and Adobe but no luck so far. Based on other articles I also renamed the "IllustratorFonts.lst file - but also to no avail...

I've created new .pc3 files for AutoCAD 2013 for the three printers/plotters we use. The .pc3 files are stored on a network drive. The four test machines we have running all have the same location of the .pc3, .pmp, .ctb files is set in the "Printer Support File Path". I created the .pc3 files with my machine; I filtered the paper sizes to be displayed and set the margins for each. When I access the files from my machine I see only the two paper sizes I set to show. If any of the other machines access the same exact file on the network drive they'll be greeted with eleven paper sizes none of which are either of the two I set up to be displayed.
If I create a .pc3 and .pmp file on a different machine it works properly only on that machine. Every other machine will be shown the same eleven paper sizes.Â
This happens with the HP DesignJet T1200 HPGL2, the KIP 7700 Series, and our HP Color LaserJet 5500n.
All of the test machines are HP Z400s with Intel Xeon W3565 at 3.2GHZ processors, 16GB RAM, ATI FirePro V4800 with 1GB RAM running 64 bit Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 and 64 bit AutoCAD 2013 Service Pack 1.
I'm running Photoshop Elements 5.0. Everything was working fine til this mornin. I've had the program for about a year now. When I tried to open it this morning I got this error message that popped up.
It says:
Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable.
I've tried repairing the program. That didn't work. Restarted my computer. That didn't work. Uninstalled the program and tried opening it again. That didn't work. I'm at a loss! I really need to get into my program b/c my work is there. I tried opening some of my files (they are located in my Pictures folder) and they pop up with the same message.

Basically, I create a simple mesh primitive box. I set the selection filter to vertex, and select all vertices on one side of the box. If the selection of all vertices actually registers, it simply moves the entire object, not just the vertices selected. I've tried this in all directions, and the same thing happens.. Other times, it chooses to only move one of the vertices, a result I cannot reliably reproduce -- it just sort of "happens".   Scale and Rotate all function normally.
This is happening for me in Civil 3D 2011 as well as Civil 3D 2013. I launched "Civil 3d 2013 as Autocad", and this problem doesn't seem to happen. Also, in "Civil 3d 2013 as Autocad", the vertex nodes all select as red, not as blue as seen in the screencast link. I spend all my time in Civil 3D, and would like to find out why this is happening so I don't have to constantly switch platforms.
This has also been posted over in the Civil 3D group, but since it's a regular "Autocad" entity, I was hoping to have more luck here.
I'm running Win7 Pro, 16GB ram, 2.67 Ghz 8 core processor and latest service packs on everything.
I am using Extendscript to do some of the crtitical functionalities for Adobe premiere pro. Programme is working fine when i run it from Flash builder 4.6, i get all the expected result in premiere pro cs6. This is the methode i am using to invoke functions in .jsx files

As you can see the tubes aren't that greatly connected.
Each tube is blocking the pathway of the other tube.
I need them to be all connected.
The reason why, is because I will be later using this design in Inventor Fusion and Simulation CFD to have fluid in the tubes.
I have just installed Photoshop CS2 on my new win VISTA HOME machine. There was no problems, I got a notification of a large update from ADOBE,
so I accpeted, shut down Photoshop, installed updates and then when I re-boot my machine and opened up Photoshop again, I got this error message. "Unable to continue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable"
I try I open PhotoShop I get a message saying "Unable to conitnue because of a hardware or system error. Sorry, but this error is unrecoverable" then the program shuts down and I have to restart my computer in order to use PS again.

For some reason when I insert it, it is automatically inserting at 0,0. Why is it doing that? Also, if I put it into a Tool Palette (my boss just discovered these, so I'm creating a whole bunch for the company... those things are AWESOME) and when I use the Tool Palette, it works just fine.
Now, this won't be a problem as long as everyone uses the TP's I'm creating, but we have one Engineer in particular that's a toolbag and doesn't seem to remember to use all the stuff I spend all this time researching and programming.

It only happens with transparency turned down in the style.I tried several methods including Adobe, DWG to PDF, PDF Report Writer, and Vadim PDF Writer.It was plotted from a different machine, same result.It was plotted by a different user, same result.It happens with other drawings.It also happens with solid hatches, but does not seem to be as bad.It does plot to the plotter correctly, at least!Â
I am running ACAD 2012Â & Civil3d 2012 and would like to install ACAD 2014 to start playing around with the software. Are there issues with running both versions on the same computer?

I've seen this with another user at a different office as well. Â I assume its a video driver issue but as I'm strictly a CAD manager and not IT support, messing around with that is outside my responsibilities.
A restart usually fixes the issue but I figured I try to at least find out of its a known issue with a known cause (and a known fix).
I am tryng to upgrade from LT 2009 to LT 2012 and recieve this message "annot update some system component now. Please reboot the machine and try again" We are running Windows Professional XP 2002 with SP3.

AutoCAD 2013 installed as expected but I can not run the Flash based introduction movies.
I am a new to AutoCAD, have never used to program before and would like to switching the "preferences" (which I can't find) to a better browser like Google Chrome.
Suggestion for Autodesk: Please dump IE in favor or propper browsers. IE has never and will never work properly.
In conclusion: How can I get the Flash videos to work. Where do I register the software?
Because of the above issues, I've installed AutoCAD 2013 on my iMac and everything is running as expected. I am more of a Linux/OS X user and have limited experience with Microsoft products.
Two different plot settings (saved as page setups) will produce different results for exactly the same 34"x22" output. I have been bucking this problem since I started using AutoCAD C3D. I have a program to adjust the label scaling of my point labels so they are readable in both model space and layouts and when non-raster plotters are used, but now I must adapt it for other C3D labels before I can use them.
Below is my setup for plotting ANSI-D (34"x22") TIFF files at 288dpi. I have been using this plot device and setup almost exclusively since about 2001. The output is 9792 pixels x 6336 pixels which is set as a custom paper size to match my 288 dpi resolution (it is 288dpi because that is a multiple of 72dpi which is the default resolution of AutoCAD's TIFF raster output.  It is 72dpi regardless of the fact that the plot scale is specified as 288 pixels = 1 unit or 288dpi). I must reset the dpi to 288 using image software so the resulting PDF will have a size of 34"x22" instead of 136"x88". You can see in the preview output I captured that their size difference cannot be attributed to these size differences. The plots are of the exact same layout showing point labels with only the page setup changed.

Main issue is frequent crashes of the AutoCAD software. Sometimes 10-12 time's in a day. Unfortunately their are no error messages, and I have yet to see any pattern in when and how it crashes.
The problems I can see are the workspace, and process memory of my system. The workspace does not load correctly. The Ribbon shows multiples of the every tab at least twice. All tabs show the commands but not the pictures associated with the commands. CUIload shows correct workspaces.Â
Second note is that my system runs the same .dwg file's at 2/3 the processing memory than any other identical systems I run AutoCAD on.
Third, through my digging and attempted solutions I found that the AcSignCore_.dll file was missing.
I have: re-installed 3D twice, updated graphics drivers on my system and run open close save hotfix as well as AutoCAD2010 update 2 for 64 bit system.
I have problem with Civil3d 2010, when i open heavy drawing or 1 or more drawing will struck out of system memmory cannot continu the drawing , how can i fix, i already install update package 1 & 2 my system config.,and error shown on attached file. a

However my interface is idle for morethan 15 mins, after that if I start the process (Searching items, Creating Items, Writting Items into DB) then immediately I got the Error "Automation Error System call failed". I did lot of R & D on my code, but I am unable to find the issue, may be Objects are emptied or i don't know.
Problamatic Code is given below.

We have six CAD machines in our office (not including several versions of LT), and only one machine "AutoCAD 2013" is having this issue:Â
ATTREQ & ATTMODE keep changing to undesirable values.
We generally use "ATTREQ 0" and "ATTMODE 1" and NEVER change these except "ATTREQ" gets changed in some LISP routines depending on the insert, but "ATTMODE" had to be looked up because we never change it from 1.
I know that there is no reference to ATTMODE anywhere in our customizations.
Does AutoCAD try to manage these system variables? Is there anything else that I can check to stop this?
If there is a British standards for drawing symbols for electrical, fire, security, lighting etc. Seen so many different ones to use and is there a web site i can go on that would show me the correct symbols i should use.

I try to move the search path that contain the file up to the top and also got all the missing libraries, but the code still won't work.When I run the code it will give me error message like: compile error:
Function or interface marked as restricted, or the function uses an Automation type not supported in Visual Basic. The code work perfectly without any error on the old system so I sure the code is causing this error.
When I insert a location in CAD2014, there is a dialog for me to chose the position, the default coordinate is WGS84, and of couse there is a list for options. but if there still have no system I need. how can I add the one into this list ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen assigning a coordinate system to my drawing in Civil 3D 2013, the drawing does not retain the selected system.
I choose the coord system I want in Map Setup and apply it (in this case MT83IF). After applying to the drawing I go back to verify the selected coordinate system and the dialog box indicates "N/A". The only workaround I can find is to save the drawing back to an earlier version and open it on another computer in the office that is running 2011. There I can assign my coord system and then reopen in 2013 where it now shows it properly assigned.
I have tried other coord systems to make sure it isn't isolated to just the one I am selecting - and it happens with all others I try. I have also tried a repair on my install to see if that would correct it to no avail.
I have a 64 bit system and have installed all service packs to date.
