I'm trying to use the new linking Revit file feture in 3ds Max 2013 but i'm getting an error saying 'Autodesk Revit Interoperability is not installed on your system, consult your instalition guide...' Where do I get this from?
View 3 Repliescreative cloud says cs6 and photoshop cc are up to date so I cannot install from there. this laptop is giving me grief ie MSPaint won't save in png and gif formats and Paint,NET that I taught myself on and still use quite a bit crashes if I open either png or gif and won't save them either. This is the laptop that has ithe Intel Pentium graphic processor on it that best supports PS. another question, do we uninstall CS6 once CC is up and running.

A customer specific font has been installed in Windows and shows up in Notepad, Microsoft Office 2010 and other programs including Photoshop CS6. For InDesign I had to copy it to the "Programdirectory"Fonts folder and this worked fine. Only Illustrator CS6 doesn't show this Font (a TrueType font "cust.ttf") as available when I want to format a text with it. I've searched Google and Adobe but no luck so far. Based on other articles I also renamed the "IllustratorFonts.lst file - but also to no avail...

I just installed AutoCAD 2013 under Windows 8
AutoCAD 2013 installed as expected but I can not run the Flash based introduction movies.
I am a new to AutoCAD, have never used to program before and would like to switching the "preferences" (which I can't find) to a better browser like Google Chrome.
Suggestion for Autodesk: Please dump IE in favor or propper browsers. IE has never and will never work properly.
In conclusion: How can I get the Flash videos to work. Where do I register the software?
Because of the above issues, I've installed AutoCAD 2013 on my iMac and everything is running as expected. I am more of a Linux/OS X user and have limited experience with Microsoft products.
Have FCP Studio and/or Adobe production bundle running on the same system as your Smoke? If you do what issues do you have? I've heard that you should be able to run all 3 on the same system, maybe not at the same time and that's fine, but I've heard others say to go the old route and keep your Smoke system as just a Smoke system. We are currently in the process of racking our system up and will be starting to learn the system very soon but I've been wondering if there are down sides to including other software on the system.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've heard it said that it's not a good idea to use your system disk as the media storage, but I've never heard why. I'm running on a Retina MBP with a 750GB SSD. I did a couple of small jobs using it as the media storage and everything worked fine and fast. Then I archive it off to a slower drive. So what's the problem with doing that? SSD is way faster than USB 3 spinning drives & even Thunderbolt. I read somewhere that SSD isn't good for high end video editing, etc., but don't understand why.

I am experimenting with Smoke 2013 pre-trial and I am having issues with importing images and video with alpha channels.
1. If I have a layered Photoshop file or png with an alpha channel (a still frame lower third), I see that I can import it as a multi layered clip, but what is the best way to have it in the sequence to show up properly?
2. If I have a QuickTime in animation format or Pro Res4444 format with an embedded alpha, how can I import that file to show and cut it on a top layer to animate above my video?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the installer for the trial of Photoshop CS6 Extended, however upon installing it and using the trial, I do not have access to the 3D menu or any other Extended features. When the program starts up, it only reads Adobe Photoshop CS6 and the About Photoshop popup in the Help menu reveals it to be CS6 instead of Extended. Have I taken a wrong turn somewhere? I had problems with the download manager too in that after signing into it with my account the download did not immediately start and instead I had to select Photoshop CS6 from the list within the manager.

Could these problems be caused because I still have CS4, which has not been uninstalled? I am using Win7 (last update two days ago).
I am a relatively novice user, but not totally new. I have CS4, loaded from a disc, not downloaded. Mac, with 10.5.6 loaded, have greyed out filter gallery, and only a few filters available but more are there, but greyed out.

If he tried to install the upgrade, is it registered during that process, even if he had to stop at the point Adobe asked for proof of a previous version?
I just /L'd the CS4 Extended and installed. when I try to run it I get the screen that asks if I have a serial or want a trial. I have now tried the serial 8 times (each time getting the green check mark) and tried the trial option as well. As soon as I hit "ok" nothing happens. All of the other programs that came with it, like Bridge, all fire up no problem. Vista Ultimate Sooper Dooper or whatever the top one is, 32 bit4 G RamNVIDIA CardMega ton of disk space.

This isn't an upgrade, as such, but a new install of CS3 where we used to have v5.5 (about time, I know!)... I've tried to set up droplets (the main reason for upgrading, as I do a lot of photo processing), following some tutorials both from Adobe and on the web. Dragging a photo onto the droplet just gets an error where the droplet "has encountered a problem and needs to close".
I thought that installing CS4 previous release was automatically unistalled, but I see all CS3 program are still there on my HD.
My question is: may I safely remove them, or they are needed by CS4?
