Apr 13, 2012Architectural logo has inserted as OLE object in the title block, we called this title block as x-ref and inserted the title block in paper space (layout). Now when we convert into pdf the drawing the OLE object logo is not appearing and the other coponents are appearing.
what could be the reason, for PDF conversion i am using DWG to PDF.pc3
When we convert same logo as a pdf overlay in CAD by using same .pc3 file it is working fine.
I am using AutoCAD 2011.

Oct 2, 2013Before I upgraded to AutoCAD 2014 (was using 2012) when I used the MOVE command on 3D geometry (while using the Realistic Visualization) I could see one object move into another. Like, moving a cylinder into a box to represent a button, and I would see it slowly sink into the box as I moved it further and further along.
In 2014, the object I am moving will REMAIN ON TOP visually of all other geometry until it is completely inside the other geometry (at which point it disappears completely). It's hard for me to then judge just how much of it is sticking out during the MOVE command. Once I complete the move command, the proper visualization order is then shown.
In other words, if I have a 10 inch cylinder, and I'm trying to move it into a box so only 2 inches sticks out (as a visual guesstimation), currently I would see ALL 10 inches of the cylinder whether part of it is inside the box or not, until I complete the MOVE command.

Mar 7, 2013Today I opened a file that has previously worked perfectly well, only to find that when I open my surface in Object Viewer and begin to rotate it manually, the triangles making up the surface do not appear. I have the contour lines and border (what is enabled in the Edit Surface Style/Display/Model tab) although the triangles (which should be displayed as well) do not appear. Other surfaces show like they should.
Is there another option other than the Edit Surface Style/Display/Model tab and the VISUALSTYLES command?

AutoCAD 2013 :: 2014 Freezes When Double Click Editing ANY Object - Especially TEXT?

Version: AutoCAD 2004 LT
Second, what we do.
Commercial MEP design. Project in mention is a 65,000 sq.ft. Italian food market.
Third, the problem.I am experiencing a selection and double click editing problem with AutoCAD 2012LT & AutoCAD 2014LT. On Friday, June 28th we recieved updated (not new) backgrounds from a lighting designer for two floors of the building whose MEP system we are engineering. The second floor had no problems really; we reset some annotation scales and the updated backgrounds plugged right in. The first floor, however, was so messed up that we copied and pasted the track lights and all else into our file directly (vs. xref'ing) and instantly, after a save, it is impossible to evoke any kind of edit with double click. In order for us to modify anything, we have to type the command before editing. So if I want to DDEDIT, I have to type that in before changing the text. If I do select the text first than CAD freezes, takes a huge dump, wipes for 5 minutes, and then the text editor appears. This problem is ubiquitous with all 2012 LT machines and up. AutoCAD 2005 LT has no problem (lmfao).
AutoCAD 2013 :: Points Appearing In Xref?
Nov 8, 2013Points began showing up in my xref'd file. When I click them, they select the xref, so they are objects and not artifacts. I can XLIST the points in the xref and turn on/off those layers but in the base file, these points do not exist anywhere.

I tried the solution to COPYBASE, delete all, and purge, but they persist. It is happening on at least two layers.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Unknown Textstyles Appearing In New File?
Jun 26, 2013while working on a new file, which only has our 4 standard textstyles, something happened at some point during the work period where multiple textstyles named "AUDIT_1_12030....." and counting up appeared. over 40 of them.
they are all somehow embedded within the each object in the file, even lines, which confuses me. Noweven if i wanted to just copy most of the project excluding blocks, dims, leaders and text, (which was my original assumption that the textstyles were in there somewhere), I cant. I usually am able to remove unwanted textstyles through the TXTMRG LISP/VBA macro. It has no effect this time.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Constantly Crashing - No CER Appearing After Crash
Oct 24, 2013We have our AutoCAD2013 freezing for at least 4 times a day, on all 5 Computers.
I want to do that Customer Error Reporting thing, but no Window appears after the Crash, and I haven`t found it in the options yet.
The Computers are 3 x Fujitsu Esprimo P900 with an additional Graphic Card.
Intel Core i3, 3.3 GHz and 6 to 8 GB Ram.
2x is Windows 7 64bit and one is 32bit with 4GB RAM.
And the other two are Fujitsu Celsius M470 with 3.46GHz and 8GB RAM. NVIDIA Quadro 6000.
All Patches and Updates of AutoCAD2013 are installed. Why it crashes, why the CER doesn't appear?!

AutoCAD 2013 :: Dashed Lines To Appearing Properly In Viewport?
Dec 19, 2012I have a linetype that is a drain line so it's dashed and has a "D" within it along with an arrow pointing in the direction of flow. The drawing I have contains many of these lines ehich display properly in the viewport meaning you can see the dashes, D's and arrows.
Problem is, I got an as-built from a contractor as pasted it into my drawing. His lines look fine in my model space, but in my viewport the lines appear solid and you don't see the dashes, D's or arrows. I tried MATCHPROP to make the contractors lines match my existing lines but that did not work. I tried andjusting the linetype scale but that doesn't work either.

After writing a simple program with two texboxes for user input and a calculation button with an answer box. When running, the cursor appears in the textbox but neither textbox will accept input from the keyboard and the cursor does not move nor does the tab key work even with it set in the program. Pressing the calculate button and a zero appears. In the toolbox I have added the AcFocusCtrl control, still no luck.

Jul 18, 2011I xref’d a plan into a compiled drawing and added notes in the compiled drawing’s model space. The xref’d plan contains an image. When adding the notes in the compiled drawing, I turn the layer off on the xref that contains the image so that I can see the text clearer. When I turn the image layer on, the notes are there, but 2 things are happening: (1) I cannot select the xref for some reason, and (2) the text disappears in the viewport when I switch to paper space.
I am using Autocad Architecture 2009.

1.While opening any file an alert message is appearing on the screen, for closing the same I Have to use ( X) close many times.
2 After opening the file every time I have to set the AUTOcad default setting once again, it is taking too much time,

For example:
If I type "R", instead of "R" appearing, the Rectangle Select Tool is selected
If I type "M", instead of "M" appearing, the Move Tool is selected

Photoshop :: CS2 Text Not Appearing
Feb 7, 2008I'm have been using Photoshop CS2 for the past year and suddenly I am no longer able to see text that I type.
The background is white, the text colour is black, I'm on the top most layer (actually right now I'm on the only layer), the font size is big enough and is a Photoshop friendly found (basic Arial Black).
When I click on the document to create the text, a black square is coming up but I can't see the cursor, or anything I type.

Nov 11, 2013I've been working on items in Illustrator, and noticed a HUGE change when I transfer them into Photoshop. What I am doing is creating images (and text) in Illustrator.
Then I select, Control + C to copy, then I paste into my 300dpi document in Photoshop to add textures, etc. Once they are brought in... the text is pixelated and not clear like it is in Illustrator.

Photoshop :: Random Text Appearing Bold When Creating PDF From CS5
Feb 22, 2012I am a relative newcomer to Photoshop CS5. I have been creating a document with a background image layer and a couple of text box layers. The font is set at Arial, italic, sharp. When I save the document as a PDF file, random words appear in bold. I have tried deleting these words in the PSD document text layer and retyping them but they still appear as bold in the PDF file. Interestingly when I save as a JPEG image the bold words appear as normal. CS5 version is 12.0.4 and OS is Windows XP.

Feb 20, 2013One two of my text boxes there is background colour appearing. I did not put it in there and it just suddenly appeared.
On the top left of the properties panel, where the name of the itme appears, there is a button to select between Div and cod and h1 and p etc. And when I experiment and change between the different options sometines this is removing background of one of them and then when I select the other one and change the option, it is removing the background, but then the original one goes back to having a background. See image below.
I only mention the paragrph above becuase it seems to make a difference.
What I think I am looking to do is get into the code and delete the CSS which is giving the text a background. There does not seem to be an option in the properties to add or remove a text background.

AutoCAD Dynamic Blocks :: Rotate Text And Object Without Rotating Text
Aug 29, 2011I know this is located in other locations but I can't seem to make it work with my block.
I would like the cross and the text N to rotate independantly of the arrow while the N stays with the thick line. That's the easy part. How can I make the N move along the rotation path and keep the text aligned horizontally? I read something about linked action and move, but I can't make it work.
