I am using AutoCAD Map 3D 2009. I am not getting the object data values seen in the properties window in one of my machine. The other machine I am able to get the object data in the properties window.
I have attached screen shot of the machine where the object data can be seen in the properties window.
A co-worker asked if I could create a report that listed the station and offset values for selected points & alignment. After selecting "execute" for the Station Offset to Points report, the file gets hung up before I can select the points and alignment I want.
I've tried xml-ing out the desired points & alignment into another file and running the report from..
All other reports under Alignment and Points work fine (drawing does not have other C3D objects).
We use a table with an inserted jpeg image (company logo) as our title block. Everything works fine when you start a new drawing, however, when one tries to insert the template into an existing drawing or thru a new layout, the table that is our title block comes in mirrored with the rows and columns all out of whack.
My master drawing includes things like network information, drops, V-lans and bandwidths,
I want to use a database to count various objects/blocks in a drawing. Ideally I want to write a macro button that enables me to export the information in the drawing straight into a database.
The company I'm with recently updated their settings across the network. Now, when I step away from my computer for longer than 10 minutes a screen saver automatically comes on. Upon entering the password and getting back to the desktop, AutoCAD comes up with a FATAL ERROR:
Unhandled Access Violation Writing 0x0000 Exception at 54122e86h
I cannot disable the screensaver, I'm running AutoCAD Mechanical 2011 (updated with SP2); Windows XP Pro SP3, 3.25 GB RAM, Matrox M9128 LP PCIe x16 (Latest Driver) dual monitors.
I am currently using AutoCAD 2010. I'm placing some length dimensions on partial sections of a circle and the arc dimension comes straight out from the chosen points as a dimension of a flat line does. I would like it to look like an angular dimension without having to use a text override. Is there any way to change that to where the placed dimension lines follows the edges of the section instead of coming straight out?
Ok just took the leap to Windows 8 and when reviewing the Reliabity Report in Windows PSE11 is showing up as stopped working, and it is causing some performance issues. it is because I dont have Quick Time installed. Installed Quick Time still have the problem.
While displaying animation in autodesk inventor 2012, inventor window get frozen. Is there any solution to this problem like onIdle event where we can do the calculation for what next animation shown?
Sometimes, when I have two or more drawings open in the same instance of AutoCAD, another tab opens up on the Windows Taskbar. Here's the scenerio; I have two drawings open. On the task bar, Autocad's icon shows two drawings open. Somewhere while drawing, AutoCAD will start bogging down, especially when switching drawings. On the Window's Taskbar, it will now show three drawings open. Two of which will be the same drawing. There will only be two drawings open. The drawing which is currently on top for editing will be the one that shows up twice. If I change to the other drawing, it takes a really long time to swap. Sometimes, it will sit there for a minute and then swap back to the other first drawing on it's own. I try going back to the second drawing again, and the same thing happens again. The only way to stop this from happening is to completely shut down AutoCAD and restart it. I think it has something to do with the ribbon. And I also notice it more often after doing a CopyBase, but not always.
I have been trying to convert a working(mostly) addin to dockablewindow. I found one (and only one) sample in c# (wich is what i am using). I finnally got it to show up as a dockable window but when the user presses the "X" on the window it hides, how do you get it back or just let the addin know that the window/form has been closed so that when the user pressed the ribbon button that spawned it can just show it or create a new one?
I have found vary lilttle on dockable windows on Google, Bing...
I have a Time Machine backup of my MacBook Pro before I installed 2013 and lost 2012. If a Time Machine backup actually saves the / directories? If so, how can I navigate to /usr/discreet in the TM backup using the finder window? The only way I know how to get to those directories is using a Terminal shell window. There are one or two projects I'd like to recover, if I could.
I know that the (graphscr) command will change the focus of ACAD from the text window to the graphics screen, but is there a command line option to actually turn off the text window?
I can press F2 to open the AutoCAD Text Window, but I'm looking for a reliable way to close it once it's open. If it's not overlapping with AutoCAD, F2 doesn't close it. I currently have it on a monitor other than the monitor AutoCAD is on.
Is there a system variable I can use to setup a LISP to toggle (or at least close) the Text Window using a keyboard shortcut?
I want to do rectangular selection (window select) couple of clips. So i try to click and drag (start from any empty area in timeline), but most of the time , i will end up picking up or moving the empty track (gap). In any other editing app , i can simply click and drag but not in Smoke. Yes, i have to click in specific area in the timeline so i can properly create a window selection .
When creating PDFs/PNGs to watch on a computer, it doesn't make sense to use standard paper sizes. The reason is that usually the plotted window does not fill both width and height and there are big white margins inthe produced file.
So my question is, how can I easily create a paper size to match a selected window (or layout) at a certain scale?
I have a drawing that will not open the objectscale window (annotative scale add/delete). I either select from the right-click menu, or type in objectscale, and nothing happens. I opened a new drawing and the function worked fine in that one, just not in my existing drawing...
I am looking for an example autocad drawing of the connection between a window and a wall. In other words, a drawing which shows how the window is attached to the wall.
Does not matter what kind of window, materials etc.
I know there is a command for making a hole on a wall or a facade without compromising the finishes on the wall.
eg:i have a wall now drawn out, with all the details of the wall done, but i realise now have to make a window out of the wall i have hatched, but i do not want to create a rec and trim it. as i may have to change the window position again.
I can't get the resize window to fit option working. It has worked in the past; I have no idea what changed. I am using Adobe CS4 (11.0.2) on Windows 7 (6.1) 32 bit operating system. I made sure the resize window to fit option is turned on and deleted the preferences file.
In previous versions of Photoshop on Apple, the toolbars are fixed to the outside of the screen and the inside of the app is empty (seeing the windows or desktop below it). Adobe Illustrator CS6 still displays like I just described. However, Photoshop CS6 it is one window that is scalable (like I would expect on a Windows machine). I've looked through all the preferences and options.
