View 5 RepliesHow do I set it so that when I type fractions in a text box it automatically keeps them as non-stacked fractions rather than horizontally or diagonally stacked?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn our older 2007 version, we used the command %%140 (and so on) to make the stacked fraction 9/16 in our string of text. Now with version 2010, all of the fractions (where this command was used) display as a question mark. This is a major issue since now all of our isometric drawings are displaying this in regards to text.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to use diagnol fractions in my label text for 1/2 and 1/4 deltas. It displays and seems to work fine in Autocad, but when I plot, the numbers have trouble displaying themselves.
I'm using a light color from our .ctb, so I thought that was the problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case (I tried two heavier lineweights and it only got worse). Increasing the percentage size of the fraction also has no effect.
My Inventor's playing with me... When I use Leader text and type a fraction, a message box pops up asking me if I want to stack the fractions. I don't, which has always been the default, so I just hit "Enter". Suddenly, it's decided to go ahead and stack them, and now the box does not come up, so I can't tell it not to. Where do I choke it to get it back to not stacking the fractions, or at least give me the option box?? R2010, S.P.0.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there is a way to convert many regular fractions to stacked fractions without editing each one. I have a file full of fractions that all need to be stacked. It seems it would be quicker if I could select all the fractions and stack them at once rather then edit each one individually.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI wrote the code below (allow the user to pick points in different viewports and then override an existing dimension's text with the difference in X values. The (hopefully) last issue is that the fractions should be vertically stacked and at 100% text size.
(defun c2text ()
(command "mspace")
(setq p1 (getpoint "Select left point "))
[Code]....
I use Mtext quite a bit and I am trying to convince others in the office that it's a good thing (versus single line text in long paragraphs). One of their concerns in the shape of the Mtext. For instance, when you use Mtext, you type into a nice rectangle that you can change the size of. What they have to do on occassion is instead of having a nice rectangle of text, they have to make it like a triangle. So in this case, single line text can be adjusted so that the end of the sentences make an angle.
Is there a way to do this using mtext? Or is there an lsp that will work?
Is there a way to reset the stacked text globally on a drawing? Or is the only way to select text individually and update it a hundred times or so?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe are creating a new company title block for the use in Inventor 2010 and AutoCAd 2010. It has initially been generated in Inventor and exported to AutoCAD. My problem is that all attributes that came over are now setup as multiline attributes and I can't seem to change them to single line. Therefore you have to open the multiline editor separately for every single item to make changes in lieu of just 'tabbing' through the values in the Enhanced Attribute Editor. This adds time and frustration and seems to be intolerable for some of my colleagues.
Is there a way to change the attributes to a single line in AutoCAD I'm just not aware of? I tried to find different settings for the export from Inventor but the options seem to be very limited.
I could probably go over this and create separate AutoCad only titleblock and border but that would kind of defeat the purpose.
I need to convert single-line text into multi-line text (AutoCAD LT 2009). Will this version allow you to do so?

We have an employee in our office that is kind of old school in some ways. That person has a habit of exploding everything possible in a drawing. Most of us create notations using mtext so it's easy to edit and manipulate. Is there a way to convert the single line text back to multiline after it's exploded?

I just switched over from 2005 to 2012. In 2005 I used Express Tools to change several lines of text to one mtext object. I can't find it in 2012. I didn't realize how much I used it until I lost it.
how to select several lines of text and convert it to one mtext object?
How can I add single line text to my CAD drawing? I use DTEXT command, but there is no option to enter text height. CAD only asks me the rotation angle of text and then blinking cursor appears. If I type something, text gets so small it's almost invisible. Only option for me now is to scale but it takes too much time and too many clicks to get my text to wanted size. Why AutoCAD doesn't ask me for the height?

To underline the “single text”, we use the %%U but this sounds not to work with the “multiline text”!
What I should use to underline the “multiline text”?

In my title block I have a attribute with the name project_Number. Now what I want to do is the following. When I edit my block with the project number. The project number should automatically be added to a text box without me typing in the project number twice.
E.g.. This Drawing is part of the consulting services provided for Project[Project_Number] and may not be used or applied for any other purpose without prior consultation.
in other word the project number should be reference in the text box from the attribute.

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn the dragged state, I don't want to use 'As Composed' because the label is composed to be parallel to the line, but I want it to flip to horizontal to the view when dragged. This is working fine with 'Stacked Text'
What is not working is the text justification. I want it to remain centre justified, as it is composed. But there doesn't seem to be any option for this when you use the 'Stacked Text' option for the dragged state. I thought that setting the 'Leader Justification' to false might do it, but that just makes it always left justified. Am I missing something here? Is there no 'Top right/bottom right/middle center/top left.....' option for Stacked Text? And if not, why not?
I'm in 2011.
i'd like to 'write' texts on paper with plotter's pen. i cannot use "Type>Create Outline" because i just want a single-line writing look. is there any way to achive that without me having to vector draw the whole text manually?

I have had this problem since I used Photoshop 7 and now Photoshop CS. When I want to go to a new paragraph or the next line using the enter key, it just doesnt work.
When I hit enter, the text just exits the text entry/edit mode.
Is there any possibility to bring the artistic text ... having many lines to a single line, despite of manually bringing them to the single line .
