today I had opened my photoshop file which I was coloring ( a comic page) I allready spend 3days on this comic and I just don't wanne start over .I was working on it in CS6, As friends suggested I had opened it aswell in CS5 to try if it works there but no it didn't. I also placed it in AI, but sadly again the ugly line picture shows up .
why I get these unusual radial lines showing up in my plot preview. The drawing looks fine on the screen but when I go to plot I get hundreds of lines that converge to a point in my preview.
After many years of using LR this is the first time I've encountered this issue (see 1st screenshot below). LR is scrambling my files. The affected raw files open fine in other programs, including adobe photoshop cc (see 2nd screenshot).
When plotting and doing a 'plot preview' Acad crashes. This happens with ALL dwgs no matter which of our 2 printers is chosen. This is only happening to one computer in the office. All computers are running Windows 7 Professional with AutoCAD Civil 3d 2011. If the plot is sent without a preview everything if fine with no crash.
Upon setting up a drawing for plotting (the problem is not printer specific) the "Print Preview" gets stuck in a loop where I am unable to exit if I choose to cancel or alter the settings. I am forced to go ahead and send the plot. If iI immediately go back and run the PLOT command again nothing happens... no dialog box, no error nothing. I must then go to any other open dwg, do a save, and then go back to the original dwg. Then the PLOT command will again work, however, still getting stuck in the preview loop.
I'm running Adobe Illustrator CS4 on my Mac Pro running OSX 10.7 Lion and for some reason I am no longer able to open any new or existing files. Illustrator boots up just fine but 'File>New' gives me nothing. 'File>Open' gives me my usual search box but once a file is selected, again, I get nothing. Dragging a file into Illustrator gives me this response',
Before promptly quitting.
I have tried deleting all the files from my Illustrator Preferences folder but doesn't seemed to have worked.
Excuse my awkwardness but I'm self taught on AutoCAD & have managed fine for last few months but have encountered an issue this evening I can't resolve. I've produced drawings, basic they may be, but when preview them the actual drawing area is barely noticable & when export to pdf it practically prints a blank page. I have very simple items in drawing, stockpiles, excavations test locations, and have been producing pdf's fine, even as recently as this morning using the same cadfile. But what ever I've managed to do since then has changed something and I can't resolve the issue.
For some reason, my plot style is applied to my viewports. So for example, when I choose a monochrome plot style for the layout, the view ports in that layout display in black and white. I want to disable this. Is there a system command to turn this off?
I received an Autocad file from another person, opened it with Autocad 2011 LT, and it looks fine. But when I go to print preview all the lines are very thick, making the detail of the drawing difficult to see. I've tried manually changing the lineweights but it has no effect on some of the layers. Is there an easier way to fix this other than recreating layers?
I'm having this major issue where on one drawing, 100% of the solids plot as expected. On another computer, with the exact same (as far as I can tell) settings in AutoCAD - both are 2012, both are pulling same plot style from network, both are pulling from same plot configuration from network - yet in the other one, half the solids don't print correctly.
the problem started on 2010, but then I tried a fresh install of 2012 and the problem persisted. I have 2012 on my PC so I assumed the problem on the user's PC may just be easily fixed with a new CAD installation.
Also, when I click in the viewport and click "Hide", it looks fine. And, so you know, I am attempting DWG to PDF. On my PC it works, not on their PC. This is also true in Plot Preview.
I have a stationing line. I've used the block PTTICL to make ticks. The ticks display perfectly. I'll run through a plot preview and the ticks show on the plot preview. I push plot go to the printer and the ticks are not plotted.
I've checked the layer. They are on a layer that should print.
I've checked the block. The block is created on a layer that should print.
I've run through a number of options regarding the alignment label properties and found "display" to be equal to "true."
Everything else plots just fine. Only the station label ticks refuse to plot. My project is fairly short so the work around was to put a poly line right on top of the tick mark.
Created new PC3 for KIP 3100 plotter using its AutoCAD Heidi driver for Win7x64. Upon plot preview the following error occurs.
This causes a crash report which has been submitted to Autodesk. The response was to install service pack 2. Error still occurs after installing the service pack.
When I trying to plott (or do a preview) with HP LaserJet 1525 nw configurated, autocad crashes. I have the latest drivers and updates installed Autocad 2011 64bits (sp2) on windows 7 64 sp1
I have Inventor 2014 installed on my computer. My O/S is Windows 7 Ultimate. The problem I am experiencing is that when I open the tutorial files and click to open a file such as VBelts.iam or bearing.iam, the preview of the item will show in the tutorial files dialog box. But, when I click to open it in the graphics area, nothing appears. At the bottom of the graphic screen it will say that the particular file such as VBelts.iam has been selected. I have tried every solution I can think of including making sure in the browser that visibility is on. The problem didn't occur in the previous tutorials. When I clicked open in the dialog box it worked as it should. The problem first occured when I tried to open SkeletonBase.ipt and has continued in the next few tutorials.
I have a coworker who is having trouble printing from AutoCAD 2011 (sp2) on his Dell Latitude, Win 7 64 box. Whenever we try to print or even do a print preview, it will crash the program
He has tried several printers and uninstalled and reinstall the drivers for them. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program as well.the Windows Application event viewer shows this when AutoCAD crashes.
Also, I have trouble remoting into his laptop because it will not display correctly with our Landesk software. So I'm wondering if this is a display problem rather than a printing problem.
When attempting to print drawings that have been printed before...much of my drawing will print but many lines and blocks will not show up in preview, or print. i wonder whatt he problem is, as there are some lines which have exactly the same properties (ie on the same layer with no overides etc). where some will print but others wont (ie on the same layer etc). A similar problem persists where some xrefs show in preview and others don't.
Also the stuff in layout space is part there and part not, where this layout title block etc is standard for all drawings and has always printed fine.
It seems the only way to solve it is to copy everything into new drawings (including xrefs) and start again....? I have checked layers, no print etc...
Is it possible to plot using a few different .ctb files? For example can I assign one .ctb file to the landscape xref drawing and another .ctb file to the architectural xref drawing and a third .ctb file to the civil xref drawings? It has been very time consuming to coordinate all the separate drawings to use one .ctb file.
I am having an issue trying to create a template using my correct line widths. Some of my plots are fine while others are too light. I know it is related to my plt file settings, but I can't seem to assess how to locate them in the plt file and then determine which is which (ie: the good ones vs. the incorrect ones)
I am using AutoCAD 2011 and am not getting my AutoCAD files thumbnail preview in windows explorer. I did reinstalled it but no use. All other programs like PDF, MS office files are showing thier preview but AutoCAD don't.
I get a black capture screen when capturing with CS6 on a Windows 7 machine. I'm capturing through Fire wire from DV tape, via the VCR function of a Canon XL2 camera. I have tried restarting, etc.; also toggled the "preview video" radio from the Settings button in the capture Window. Nothing works and I need to be able to preview my video as I'm capturing. It is not good enough that the video actually captures fine. Also, I am forced to turn off Device Control in order to capture because it kicks me out of every capture (an immediate message of : "no frames captured") unless I do.
Unfortunately I am using ACAD 2000 so bear with me and the only ACAD training I have is a 3 day crash course at the local software reseller.
I am attempting to plot a drawing that was created from a template into a .pdf but it is plotting colored lines instead of black lines.
Here is some background info. My template is set up as a .dwt which I will save as a .dwg when I begin to make my drawings. Plot style table is “monochrome.stb” and I have selected Adobe .pdf as my plotter configuration. I then select the “Properties” then go to “Custom Properties”, “Paper/Quality” tab and then select “Black & White” as my color.
When I go to plot the drawing as a pdf and do a preview of what I am about to plot, I see that the lines that make up the drawing are a shade of gray in color. All my lineweights in the layers property manager are set to default. I have attached a blank drawing that is based off of my template.
I need to publish multiple files that are in the Named Plot Style Mode in Black and White instead of color. Is there a way to do that in 2012? In previous versions it wasn't a problem. Short of opening every single file and doing the convertpstyles I can't seem to figure out a quick way to do it. Is there an option somewhere that I can change to make the Publish use the Color Plot Style Mode so that it will recognize the monocrome.ctb file?
Me and several other of our staff have an issue where lines not drawn appear in plots, We uses fully license AutoCAD 2010 software.(it happens with evry plotter device including PDF plotters)
I printed it out and it seems a little jagged. I tried live trace but all the details were lost. I used a brush tool to trace it I know a pen tool would've been smarter :/
