Just download After Effects CC to my desktop and once I opened the program it told me that I didn't have Verdana and the interface wouldn't work without it. It also said that I could replace the font but didn't give me any option and continued by crashing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a new computer (Dell E5520 laptop with Windows 7) and transfered all my programs/data; Video Studio Pro X4 wouldn't work - would not capture video. I un-installed the program. When I try to install VS ProX4 on my new computer from the disc I get a small blank window and a flashing diaglogue box pops up so quickly I can't read it. I have run virus scans and removed all identified threats. I am running a Intel Core i5, have 4GB Ram and 500GB disk. Installation and operations were great on my old system running XP.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently captured video (6 tapes each tape to a separate folder on disk and 'folder' within VS) from my VidCam (DV tape) and selected 'split by scene'. I was using VS9 as at the time I was having problems using Pro X4.
Every clip/scene captured for the first tape I captured to disk includes the first frame from the following clip. This only seems to have affected the first tape I captured.I will have to cut the last frame from each clip if I rearrange the order of the clips on the timeline.
I made my plug-in for Autocad 2012.I register my plug-in in registry and so it's autoloaded.If I open Autocad I saw my toolbar, my message from IExtensionApplication.Initialize and all my commands (marked as [assembly: CommandClass) works fine. No problem.
BUT! If I open autocad file by double click - autocad opened. Now I saw my toolbar, saw my message from Initialize!But any commands didn't work. Autocad said that command is unknown. What can be a problem? My be in Autocad version? I have student version and startup message about it.
i found a tether issue on Lightroom 4.4 on Windows 8 (x64 and x32) (PC and Laptop)
i have two cameras - Canon 550D and 5D mark II and both didn't work with tethered capture
when i start on tethered capture - there is a No camera detected
try this cameras on another Laptop with LR 4.4 but Windows 7 x32 - all work correct, both cameras work and detected
I shot an event for a couple (a reception) and I didn't have my gray card so I set my Canon 5D mkII on auto white balance (shooting with a Canon 24-70 2.8 and a Sigma 85 1.4). As you'll see from the two example photos - the shots taken in the venue lobby looked fine, but the shots from inside the event itself were amazingly saturated. The room had a ton of very bright uplighting in purple and pink - the shots looked fine in the viewfinder, but once I brought them into LR4, there was a nearly complete purple/pink cast over everything. Setting the white balance in LR to auto, tungsten, flourescent - nothing worked. Adjusting the temp sliders - only slightly better. Reducing vibrance and saturation useful a little more, but I'm really having a hard time finding a fix!
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo you know what system I have, I use a laptop running Windows 7 64bit, with a dual core processor and 4GB RAM. It's a very capable machine and I don't usually have a problem using LR on it.
After installing LR 3.3 over 3.2 I experienced a problem whereby the PC would not recognise which program to use for opening the lrcat catalog files. Using the Default Programs option in Control Panel didn't work as Windows wouldn't accept Lightroom as the default program and kept suggesting I open the catalog using Adobe Reader instead.
I seem to remember having an issue with the 3.2 update as well but that was simply the icon for file type being missing (showing a default unknown file type icon).
Anyway, resolved the problem but had to resort to downloading a program called Default Programs Editor (http:[url]...... to correct the problem. Am thinking next upgrade, I will uninstall LR completely before installing the update, just to be sure.

I've checked the font and it's enabled but Illustrator refuses to open. I uninstalled CC and reinstalled it, but still no joy.
I'm running the latest version of Suitcase Fusion 5 and Verdana is enabled. CS6 seems to work, but my CC files are not opening in an editable form on CS6.
Mac running latest OS.
Is there anyway to add a tool palette into a work space using the customize user interface?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Lightroom 5 and a Mac computer..Uploaded photos via card reader to Computer.Lightroom Opened but would not show previews. - said show source - would not open the previews on the imported photos
When I tried to activate the source to upload my photos - all when blank after 1 second of showing information (Photos) that were the previews. - then went blank.I stopped the process and ejected the card correctly through the finder. Thought I would try importing via image capture.
This was also a problem as the previews only showed as a flash of a second.I also notice that for some reason Lightroom 4 keeps on opening when importing photos and not Lightroom 5 - Though Lightroom 5 opens up when I edit other photos.

I have 6 gigs VRAM and 32 gigs RAM.
The project is 1080 with one bitmap image a vector graphic and some type.
I currently have X4 Ultimate installed with KPT Effects & Nik Color Effex Pro 3. I now also have X5 Ultimate installed. Now X5 came with the same Nik Color Effex but I haven't installed it yet.Does KPT Effects from X4 will work in X5? Can I copy the folder from X4 into X5? (Same question pertains to the NIk Color Effex. Useful to install it again when it's already intalled to get it working in X5.)
I thought about just trying to point X5 to the X4 plugin folder but after just trying that with something else, I'm a little leary. I tried to point X5 to the Photoshop CS6 folder where AlienSkin Eye Candy 6 installed. But right after doing that and re-starting PSP, the startup box hung. I used task manager to stop it but the program still opened anyway. I knew that wasn't right, so I removed the link to that folder and X5 opened normally again. The newest installer for Eye Candy 6 won't let me do a custom install. So, how to get the filter working in X5.
Anyway, my main question is if I can get the KPT effects from X4 working in X5 and if so what I need to do.
When im tray to input some jpg resolution about 1200x720 that resolution doesn't work. and my resolution after import is 245x100.Downloading file of jpg image is 1200x720..when i'm import that resolution change in 280x100.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI installed After Effects pretty much without changing anything, so the settings are more or less default. I'm using a Macbook Pro with OS 10.6.8 and After Effects CS6
I have enabled media and disk cache, max disc cache is at 100GB and I have an external drive (with 900GB spare) as the volume selected beneath that option. My internal SSD has not much spare on it. I previously had the internal SSD as the disc cache and still had this same problem.
My project is 1920 x 1080 25fps - And I'm trying to render to Quicktime. I've tried rendering to stills and then outputting to Quicktime (so as to have less computational effort), then running them through but the same problem persists.
If After Effects is the application in focus the project renders fine.
If After Effects is not the application in focus - ie. I work with it rendering in the background, the 'FINISHED' sound plays and the render is cut short a short while after I started working in another program.
The project render time is about an hour, so it's not really convenient.
I just installed photoshop and can't get "filter" for lighting effects to work?

I would like to know how to use a Transition without it affecting all tracks above it?
For example, if you apply a crossfade transition to a title track to make it fade-in, it will also affect the video track(s) above. The videotrack will suddenly turn black and then fade in together with the title.
Actually it will affect every track above the transition effect. So if you use for example the 'Switch Off' transition on the 2nd title track, it will also switch off the 1st title track, any possible overlay tracks and the main video track.
I can't imagine this should be happening. Is it a bug on my computer or is it a software issue
I'm using a single file on a server that I need two animators to be ablt to work from. Can I do this with having each animator have to work from a separate file?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was editing a video an while playing with the scale I went to RAM preview and it wouldn't work so I closed it down and reopened it as this problem has happened a few times and this has been the fix. I then went to RAM preview from the beggining and my computer crashed, no bluescreen the monitors just went blank and the BIOS popped up. I then reopened my project and RAM previewed from the beggining and it didn't start it just said requesting frame 2 of ... I then played with a few of the prefrences eg. clearing the cache and purging memory and It still didn't work. I then disabled multiprocessing and RAM previewing worked again though I would like multiprocessing to work as It is alot faster. I then tried restarting my computer and reinstalling AE but still no luck.Also rendering does not work either with multiprocessing enabled.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with previewing effects in Illustrator. When I do this:
- create or select object
- go to appearance panel
- choose FX -> Stylize -> Drop shadow...
- check Preview in the effects window (it works as expected)
- now uncheck the Preview checkbox (when unchecked, the fx is still visible)
So, unchecking this Preview checkbox doesn't work right. It is very annoying. It is broken for most of the effect in illustrator. Strangly, it works fine with rounded corners effect. But other effects... not.
I just began editing a portrait shoot and realized that my paintbrush effects only work on about the bottom 1/3rd of my photo.
The little target with the plus sign in the middle shows up when I mouse over this photo from the mouth down, but when I mouse over the top part it turns back into the normal cursor. If I start using the brush at the bottom of the photo where the target/plus sign actually shows up and then drag it to the forehead, it works. But if i unclick at all it goes back to the original problem.
I am using Lightroom 4.
Trying to use the video copilot twitch plugin on a lower third. I created a really basic lower third by creating a solid and a text layer then precomposed them and copied all atributes to new comp. I then created a new adjustment layer for just the new comp and applied the twitch effect to it and my comp went black. If the twitch effect is only applied to the text layer or the base layer I want my lower third to appear on it works fine but when I apply it to just the precomposed lower third the whole thing goes black. I'm running CS6 on mac 10.7.5. I'm hoping that this is just caused by something that needs to be toggled but I've spent the last 30 minutes fiddleing around and I cant get it to work on the whole thing.
Edit: Toggling continuous rasterization makes it work on the text but not the solid.
I tried to run the After Effects CC 12.0.1 patch as After Effects CC will not launch after updating to Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks.

I cannot get the left and right bracket to work - so maybe it is some other keyboard command I have to do to make it work?
when I want to add time to the time display, to re-position the timeline cursor, i use +15 for example. But when i want to subtract time, -15 wouldn't work. How does subtracting frames in the time display work ?
