3ds Max :: Viewports Randomly Change And Flicker?

The issue happening when 3Ds Max is NOT on maximize viewport mode and showing 4 viewports at the same time and viewports start to jump, flicker and change randomely as if there is no specific view assigned for each viewport, and that causes a problem when I want to see and work with my model in 4 different views at the same time.
I'm cureently using 3Ds Max 2013 and previously the issue was exactly the same for 3Ds Max 2012. I should add that this issue is gone when I use OpenGL, but I really want to use it with "Nitrous" feature which gives more realistic real-time results.

I make a compound object, then when I resize it, it moves anchors around. Note the corners on the 3rd "8" -- they're pinched together. This is happening on a lot of different object
Edit: There are no "snaps" enabled.

Model Space: has two objects one being a circle and one a rectangle
Paper Space: I have created two layers title "Area 1 Viewport" and "Area 2 Viewport". My goal is to get it so I can "Area 1" layer and the circle appears but when I turn it off that viewport goes away. Then when I apply "Area 2" viewport the rectangle appears but when turned off the viewport goes away. Currently the frame of the viewport is assigned to the layer but the objects still stay.

I need to change colour to a drawing with several viewports and xrefs. I suggested to my co-worker that I could fix this via plot manager, but he insists that I change all colours in the xref to one and the same, so everyone can plot it black and white and so we don't have to set up new plot styles on every computer. (we've got the drawing file from another company btw).
I've had a look and it seems like I have to do refedit to be able to edit any parts of the xref. Most of the drawing has got the same colour already, but it just say "by layer"... how do I find out what colour it is?

In older versions of Autocad when you created a viewport and locked it, the frame around the viewport would change color so that you knew if it was locked or unlocked.
Is there a setvar or something that needs to be set so that when you lock a viewport it's frame color will change???

I set a viewport to a perspective mode. I do this by starting 3DOrbit then right clicking and choosing perspective. Save, close, open and all perspecitve views are set to parallel projection.

I have just installed 2012 and have drawn a 3d model. In paperspace i have a couple of viewports , all nicely set out at 1:5 scale. then i click in another viewport and bam, all the other viewports change scale (zoom out) and orientation. is there some system variable that i have overlooked?

I have a lot of sheet DWGs with a single layout in each. The layouts have several viewports into model space.
Is there a way to export out the layout tab where the viewport contents have been converted and placed into the layout space?
Ideally, I'm hoping to basically convert the viewport heavy paperspace into a dumb model space layout.

I've Recently updated to Photoshop CC on windows 8, and I'm getting a really bad flicker whenever I use it (it feels like I'm having a seizure). I have seen on various forums as well as in the offical Adobe section that this is an issue. The recommended solution was to reduce graphic processing setting to basic. I did but nothing has changed. I also read that people had turned graphic processing off completly, this also didn't work.
I'm am using a Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 in a Dell xps.

Back in the late 60s and 70s I had a 8mm video camera. One of those take 50' of film and send it off for developing. In the 80s I got my first talky Hi8 video camcorder. Back then I had to set up a screen, set my camcorder next to the projector and shoot away. Now I am transferring these videos to DVD so I can open them in VS X3. As might be guessed there is a lot of flicker in the videos.
Is there any way to Eliminate this flicker during post edit in VideoStudio X3?

I have an issue that every time I render a scene with photometric lights and have the exposure control set to Mr. Photographic exposure, outdoor night time, I get flicker. It appears to be an interlacing problem, but looks like the lights are flickering bright and dim. I am rendering as a .jpg sequence.

I have just bought a new laptop to try and be a bit more mobile.I have upgraded and loaded AutoCad 2012, no problems so far.The problem I have is when the program is opened and I hover the mouse off the drawing area over the ribbons etc,I unplugged my wireless mouse and used the touch pad as I thought the mouse was the problem, no good.
I have checked the display and graphics drivers and they are all up to date.I did a bit of a search regarding this problem. One suggestion was to change the display settings from 32bit to 16bit, this did no good. Also another was to change the Hardware Acceleration, and some people said this worked for them. However I tried this but the button was greyed out and wouldn’t allow me to change.I had no problems with XP Pro, I am beginning to hate this Win 7 operating system, I can’t understand why Microsoft always have to change things when it’s not broken.I eventually wanted to have this Laptop plugged into my 27inch monitor and use it as a desktop computer, but have the mobility.

When I publish to Flickr, I want to use a white watermark for some and others I want to use my black watermark (because the background colors on the photo warrant one or the other, otherwise the watermark will not show). Do I have to publish each photo separately and not in a combined group or is there a way to indicated which photo I want the white watermark on and which I want the black watermark on?

The code I'm using is supposed to go through all of the layouts and freeze the specified layer in the single viewport that is defined on that layout. It works for some viewports, but not for others. A "List" of the objects show the viewports are the same. I have a LiSP routine that gets me more info about selected objects. The first is a viewport that does not freeze the specified layer, the second does freeze the layer. Here is the code I'm using:

I have photoshop cc currently and it works fine other than when i try to transform an object. The view of the document flickers, the background goes through alll the possibe colors and the work space flickers from the image to a complete black block... Is it my computer or the program?

Strobe/Flicker effect alternating between 2 clips in VideoStudio?
Say I have 2 clips, one of movie A, one of Movie B. I want one to play for half a second, then the other to play for half a second. Repeat for about 30 seconds. I could take each clip, split it up into half second increments, then insert each one alternating. But that is about 60 splits and a lot of redundant mouse work!! See the problem??
Is there a way, either through effects or other dev tools, to speed this process up?

I have some windows that i'm trying to simulate light coming from. I'm just assigning a constant shader to some polygons. The polygons are animated moving from a distance to the camera but i can't stop them flickering. Each window seem to take turns at turning itself on and off!
No FG in the scene, i've tried all the different filter types, set the sampling contrast to .01 and tried different options such as same sample pattern on all frames but i can't eliminate it.

Having a screen flicker problem since 5.cRC came out, but only in Library/Grid mode when scrolling or selecting from the grid. But only when there are more images than can fit on one page in the grid.Seems to use an unusually low amount of memory with nothing else running on the system.

I'm trying to understand why adding colour correction, or auto contrast to my some of my clips is causing them to have flicker. It's not a consistent flicker either, but random.
The footage affected is 720p at 29.97fps in a timeline with the same settings. The raw footage appears fine. Once effects are added, the image stutters. I have rendered the preview files and the issue remains the same, likewise when exported.

I bought CS6 upgrade from CS5 this week but it keeps randomly crashing I mainly use CS6 for digital art with my wacom intuos tablet. I have never had this problem with CS5 and I have a decent spec PC with 8 GB Ram and a quadcore CPU so I dont understand why this is happening. In the preferences menu I have save in backround and automatically save information every 10 minutes options checked. But the ironic thing is that when I have been drawing a long time and Photoshop crashes and when I reopen CS6 there is no recovery file and the origional file hasnt been updated with auto save. I have 7 different versions of a particular digital painting I have been working on but CS6 only saved 2 recovery files from the 7 versions and has crashed atleast 16 times between my work. I have CS6 updated to the latest version from online update but the problem still persists.

=Photoshop 7 keeps closing suddenly on me. It only happens when I try to open or save files in a certain folder, I think. The weird thing is I moved that folder out of the folder that it is inside, to the desktop, and then I could save and open files in that folder just fine. Then when I cut and pasted it back into that folder the same problem happens. I've tried using a registry repair program, and done a virus scan, and nothing.

this with your installation of Photoshop CS6 or CC? I've seen this happen in both versions.
Here's the issue:
Typically, the problem occurs when creating or modifying a layer style in the layer styles dialog. After assigning some style (drop shadow, stroke,glow, etc.) I occasionally mis-click my mouse prior to selecting the OK button to approve the chosen settings. Photoshop Online Help will suddenly launch in my web browser. It will open a single window or multiple windows randomly, all with the same Photoshop Online Help page loaded (one time it opened more than ten instances in separate windows).
At this point, Photoshop will typically stop responding, then crash and close altogether, BUT NOT ALWAYS. Sometimes I can continue working. Overall this activity seems to create instability in PS and I'll have to relaunch. Sometimes I'll go for several weeks without an occurrance. Other times it occurs several times in a week or even a day. I currently use PS CC.
Accidental mouse clicks aren't exactly the easiest thing to troubleshoot, but I can't fathom why that would launch online help or create instability. As much as I have tried, I'm unable to duplicate it manually. Left click, right click, all over the screen while in the layer styles dialog, and I can't make it happen.
It's not something new that just showed up when I installed CC either. This issue presents itself randomly on several different machines using PS CS6 and PS CC. and has been ongoing for several years now. Been using Master Collection for years and a Photoshop user since 1997. I have tons of memory, tons of scratch disk space, and employ contemporary and FAST processors on all my systems, NO OVERCLOCKING. Everything else is always very stable on all machines.

I'm running Photoshop CS5 Extended for Mac. I've had it for over a year now and it has worked perfectly fine until now.

The issue started a few weeks ago. I can't think of anything in particular that could've spurred it. What happens is that (generally within a few brush strokes, like five to ten) the program freezes. It gives me the little grey spinning wheel telling me that it's thinking, and that never stops. I've left it for hours before, waiting to see if it would ever snap out of it, and nothing. I always have to force quit the application.
There's no particular tool that makes this happen, because it's happened on everything from brush strokes to changing contrast to switching tools.
It's not like I'm using giant files—some are large and have lots of layers, but others are small blank canvases. It isn't like I'm running too many programs, because sometimes it happens while Photoshop is running by itself (no other programs.) There doesn't seem to be anything in particular that triggers it.
I even tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. I had hoped that if it were some sort of bug due to settings I had changed or something, that would get rid of it. It didn't, but I'm inclined to think I didn't manage to remove everything related to the program, because when it opened after the reinstall, it still had all the same brush settings it had before I had uninstalled it. Since I make a portion of my living off of illustration and graphic design commissions, it's incredibly important that Photoshop is usable, and fast.

I am using an Intuos4 tablet and the pen pressure randomly stops working in photoshop (cs5.5).
Had a bamboo before and the same thing happened there. I have the latest driver installed (tried with older as well), tried different usb ports and different usb wire.
Sometimes it works only a few seconds sometimes 5-10min (never more though) before the pen pressure stops working. And when it does it just stops working, I get the warning triangle in the brush window, then randomly it comes back for a few strokes before it stops wokring again.
I'm on a pc. I've tried using photoshop cs1 and also photoshop 7. The same thing happens there.
The problem didnt start untill I plugged in my old bamboo into the same computer after having installed the drivers etc for the intuos4. Ive also tried switching the tip of the pen.
Nothing works. What can I do?

I have been using CS5 for months, but just recently started a new job which uses CS6. I am working on a company laptop running Windows 7. I have never seen this problem before and could find nothing online about others having this issue.
What's happening is that I save a .psd file the same way I've done for the last 8 years, but every once in a while, the .psd files are flattened the next time I open them. This has happened 4 times now.
The first time, I wrote it off as a user error. I saved a backup .psd file and continued on. The second time was the same file, but I had the backup file which I was able to revert to an older version and restart from there.
Edit: I should also add that the third and fourth files were different files from the one used in the first two instances.
The third time, I was testing it. I saved a backup file and then continued to work on the file. I would save it, close the file, and reopen it to see if it was flattened. The 10th or 11th time I did this, the file was indeed flattened. The fourth time this has happened was on a brand new file I had started at the end of the day yesterday, and this morning it is flattened.
I really don't want to have to keep a secondary .psd file updated as a backup for every single project I work on.

I recently upgraded from CorelDRAW 11 to X5 and have started having issues. I print primarily text and vector images on a UNIVERSAL engraving laser.
Since I upgraded there have been several times that vector images will add random vectors stretching halfway across the piece I'm engraving, completely ruining it. The vectors are completely random in their placement and occurance. I've printed to the engraver 3 times in a row with identical settings and had it do the additional random vector 2 different ways then the third time print out completely fine.
