3ds Max :: Where Can Find Startup Log File
Dec 24, 2012Where I can find the 3ds Max start up log file?
View 1 RepliesWhere I can find the 3ds Max start up log file?
View 1 RepliesI have, of course, uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, along with computer reboots each time. It is still trying to find this file. I even attempted to find and replace the file so it could find it, but nothing seems to work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on Photoshop CS6 13.1.2 on a mid 2010 MacPro running OS/X 10.8.3. Everytime I start up Photoshop it also opens up a .psb image file which was editing some time ago. I don't want it opening on startup. I have tried:
1. Closing the tab
2. File/Close
and then exiting Photoshop and starting up again. The file sill loads.
Â
3. Command-Option-Shift on startup to reset Photoshop. The file stil loads.
Â
How do I stop this file from loading automatically on startup?
I have been having an issue with an old file automatically opening everytime I startup Photoshop. This has been happening since Photoshop crashed while working with this file over a week ago. I have trashed the preferences and do not know where to go from here
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt took me awhile to find the startup file so that I could empty out all of the swatches and stuff. So I finally found the Basic CMYK.ai file. I opened it and made all my edits to it. I saved the file and quit Illustrator. Now when I open Illustrator and create a new CMYK file none of the changes I made to the startup took, as in all my color swatches, brushes and everything like that are still there, but when I go back to the Basic CMYK.ai file it is correct. It is the way I left it.
Â
I illustrate artwork for textbooks and I dont want to have to remove all those unneeded swatches everytime I create a new file. Mac OS 10.8.2
I just installed Photoshop CS6, on my new PC. I previously installed Photoshop CC but have decided not to upgrade to that version yet.
Â
When I start either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of CS6, I immediately get a message saying that it could not open a scratch file because it is locked, or I do not have permissions (I have administrator privileges). The message urges me to go to "Properties" with Windows Explorer but does not tell me where the file is located.
Â
My PC has an SSD (C: drive) with enough space for the Photoshop program (installed there) but I do not want any scratch file installed there. I just brought up Photoshop CC and see that the D drive is specified as the scratch drive.
Â
Am I not able to run Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC (not at the same time) on the same PC?
Luckily my recently deceased MacBookPro (2008) was fully backed-up on "TimeMachine".Yesterday I purchased a new machine, with OSX 7 pre-installed, and used "Migration Assistant" to transfer my "Time Machine" saved data to this new machine.
Â
Unfortunately there is just one glich.
Â
Glitch:Â Â Â Â Error 150:30Â Â All previous moves negated!
Â
My reasearch indicates that there may be a problem caused by not de-authorizing PS4 on my suddenly-dead machine. (What part of dead do I need to explain?) Result : Dead end.
Â
Now I went searching for some "Flex..." file in the startup disk's hidden Library. Unfortunately, it did not show up during my search.Should I attempt to re-download the software—PS4—from the Adobe site using the link in my original Adobe "receipt of purchase" confirmation? (Location: my online account information with Adobe.)
I'm trying to update a part with different colors for various features. My color styles are not available in this file. I can export them from another file, then use the import function to bring it over, but there has to be a way to force this file to find the entire "default" color file.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm linking an excel file to an .ipt file with iLogic code determining if the Material type is a certian value it will find the correct material thickness. These file work great when working on them thru Vault but when I "Save As Template" and create this file where our other template files are located (not Vault) this fuction does not work. I have realized that I had to place the a copy of the excel file in the same file folder as the template ipt, but even this does not fix the issue.Â
I recieve this error:
Error in rule: Material, in document: Part6
'MWW Materials (Inventor).xlsx' could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct.
If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved, or deleted.
It seems completly countintutive that just saving the file as a template file would cause this not to work when all files that are required are located in the same file folder. Maybe I need a reference to the excel document within the iLogic code.
How do I reconnect a missing file when it doesn't show on the right hand side?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to open a file in a fold with hundreds files there, every time when I click the open file, the select file box only show the top 10 files there. How to set to see the previous file which I opened before.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn Windows 7, 64-bit, with all the stuff turned on to show me hidden files and system files and everything, Photoshop CS6 (13.0.1?), and Lightroom 4.3
Â
I'm trying to follow the advice that everything I do in Photoshop should be backed up somewhere other than as part of Photoshop, I periodically move all the stuff in the Users/<me>/AppData/Roaming/Adobe... folders to a backup drive... And, by and large, I can find and figure out what stuff is.
Â
But, I can't find my preferences file. Adobe says:
Â
General settingsAdobe Photoshop CS6 Prefs.psp (32-bit version)
Adobe Photoshop X64 CS6 Prefs.psp (64-bit version)
Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Adobe Photoshop CS6 SettingsÂ
I don't have ANYTHING called "Prefs.psp" in the Users stuff. As near as I can tell, I don't have anything called Prefs.psp ANYWHERE on the disk.. Do I get to pick where this file gets put? Could I have put it somewhere ELSE? Or, is it actually named something else?
So i turned off the "command line completion" settings. However, now I have to type in the full command in order to run it. I found that there should be an "acad.pgp" file somewhere in the support paths that will allow me to define command aliases. So i did a complete search of my C: drive for "*.pgp" and the search came up empty; I tried a few different ways and places (trying narrow it down) but couldn't find ANY of these files.Â
I have the student version of 2012. Does this have something to do with it? I wouldn't think it should because of what it says on the education site: "Important Note :The Autodesk Student Version software incorporates all the functionality of our professional licenses, but includes a print banner making the software inappropriate for professional, commercial, or for-profit purposes."

when i add a custom template file location under options>files>template settings>drawing template file location>default template file name for QNEW i i get the error message c:program filesautodeskautocad mechanical 2012acadmamg3dim.arx cannot find a dll or other file that it needs. if i remove my custom template file location and leave it blank, i get no error. its the same thing for the drawing template file location, if i change the default file location to another path, i get a different dll error message when launching cad.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am receiving this error whether I am attempting to view a drawing file via the network, via a lotus notes database, or loaded locally.:
"Cannot find the specified drawing file. Please verify that the file exist"
The Autodesk product I am using is Autodesk 2012 LT (trial)
The operating system is Widows 7 (64 bit)
I have had the same error for multiple Autodesk readers aswell on this same PC including:
Design Review 2013, 2012, 2011
True view 2013, 2012
I have administrative rights to the profile in question and I have also attempted to use a separate profile but received the same results. All attempts to manually set the file association have liekwise failed. the program will initialize, but the error message returns with no ability to veiw the drawing file(s).
I have also removed/uninstalled all of the above mentioned programs via Autodesk instructions/procedures for proper removal of folders/subfolders/registry entries (HKey local machine and current user) as well as stoping any autodesk program running in task manager.
My next step is to re-image the machine to make the file association stick to an autocad program.Â
I am using windows 7 on my macbook pro. I am using autoCAD 2010. I can create and save files, however I can't open them. When trying to open a file, a message pops up saying "Cannot find the specified drawing file. Please verify that the network drive is available and the file exists."

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using adobe for 4 years and I have never had this issue. Anytime I create a new design and save and then try to re-open it ( after I have moved logo or background pic I used to a new folder) it gives me this error. It also does it if I try to open up something on my computer at home.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was given a complex children's logo (below) in AI format. When placing it in ID, I started getting resolution warnings. After some digging, it turns out that the person who created this used images instead of gradients for only some of the objects. I'm not sure why someone would do this instead of just creating the gradients in AI. However, I now need to find and replace all these images. Is there an easy way to locate the images?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI shoot raw/jpg. I viewed in Digital Photo professional and transferred a Tiff to photoshop. I saved the image on a seperate disc. when I opened and tried to save again I received an error saying I didn'thave permission. I finally saved the psd version by changing the name of the picture. when I went back to the raw file on my flash card it was gone. when I went back to the tiff file that was gone to. the only file I have left is the jpg back up and the psd version. All the other pictures are still on both the flash card and my backup drive except this one. I've done recovery searches and they recover everything i've deleted from the flash card except the file I need. I don't understand why this happend. I've tried searching for hidden files etc. I didn't delete this file. the recovery program shows that it is there it just won't get it. it gets everything else but not this one. both the raw and the tiff files disappeared from two different drives. I want to get the raw file back.Â
View 2 Replies View Relatedthis morning photoshop decided to play up and any new images that i try to open to edit, i get this message. 'Could not complete your request because the file was not found'.   The same problem occours with all file types except .psd files. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop with no luck.

And incase its relavent, each time i click open the 'enable:' option is blank and 'Format:' is set to photoshop by default. With these settings all files in my finder and greyed out, so i change 'enable' to all readable documents which ungreys them. But when i open them, i get the message mentioned at the start.
I recently opened a .pdf document into CorelDraw x5 using the pdf extension in available file types to find the file.
Now when i try to use the normal open command to open a file the cdr is not available in the available file types region, everything else is still there except CDR.
To open a coreldraw file now has to be done in file manager.
When I try and open a file from the network that another user already has open, I receive the following message:
"Cannot find the specified drawing file. Please verify that the network drive is available and the file exists".
This happens when using Novell Netware. Is there a resolution?
We can not open most files. Tiff, PSD, some PDF files will give an "unable to find file error". Jpg files, and certain PDF files and TIFF files that use jpg compression work. I have tried resetting all the settings, changing scratch disks / memory usage, uninstalling all fonts, and reinstalling the application and the problem persists. Also i do not know if this is related but the same time we started having errors in photoshop we also have problems in Microsoft Word. The font list shows a lot of fonts as just a white box. Other apps can use the fonts fine. Just not in word. I have attatched a JPG file with screen caps of the errors.
