I would like the viewport shading to remain on the "smooth" visual style. The problem is, after I configure it max will switch back to "smooth + highlights".

Now befunky is an online image app that creates cell shaded images for you, but at low res. It outputs a line art sketch like this.

The closest I can get in Photoshop using a combination of Smart Blur and Gaussian Blur is this.

As you can see I'm not quite getting the smooth lines that Befunky seems to draw.
I can see flat shading with direct 3d, but not on nitrous. it's unavailable on nitrous? it's a shame because flat is very good to see hue variations on textures and stuff like that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAm using Autocad 2012 with SP2 downloaded, note the problem does not occur in Autocad 2013... So basically if you open the dwg you will see it opens in paperspace, the viewport is locked to a specific scale etc. Now go into model space where the dwg is, you should be able to zoom around, pan etc fine, problem is when you now go back into the layout or paperspace. You will notice that upon re-entering paperspace that the vport is highlighted, ie there is a thicker outline of the vport boundary, however am still in paperspace according to the tabs. When you now try zooming in or out using the mouse scroll you will notice an additional copy of the viewport is imprinted on the screen. Thats the problem. Doing a few undos will set you back right again.
So far we are inclined to think that its either something to do with the UCS or the units that the program is getting confused with but havent been able to find a solution. Also bear in mind that it seems to work fine in 2013. Its probably something really simple that we've missed but thought would try anyway Will attach the dwg file.
I asked this a long time ago but I'm hoping something has changed. If I have 2 Modelspace viewports is there any way to switch their contents? Right now I create 2 views and restore them in alternate viewports.

It happens whenever we zoom or pan into one of our locked viewports. We have purposefully locked the viewport so we don't lose the scale when we zoom or pan and want to leave it this way, however, whenever we zoom or pan this message appears and it takes 30 seconds before the screen readjusts to the zoom or pan we require.
When i'm working in maya 2011, my mesh is not showing the 3 smooth in the viewport. What's the reason behind.

What is the best way of reducing the intensity of these highlights.
In analog photography, various soft focus filters will create a glow in the highlights, without blurring them (a slight loss of contrast, but no loss of resolution). I've tried a duplicate layer, Gauss blur, lighten blend mode.... just got a glowing blur....

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using a Nikon D200 and Photoshop CS3. I am shooting 1 stop plus/minus and merging to HDR. It seems that the highlights are always getting blown out much more than the middle image. The shadows are brought up fairly well, but the entire upper end of the curve seems blown out with loss of contrast. I have been experimenting with different methods during the 32 to 16 bit conversion to correct it but have not been so pleased with the results. I can get the highlights back down, but the upper end is fairly washed out with loss of contrast. It seems like the middle part of the curve is also pushed up a bit which would account for the loss of upper end contrast.

However, all of a sudden, pictures from the same photo shoot are being converted incorrectly and the HDR function is causing the highlights to be red and completely blown out. I'm doing nothing different and all the lighting is the same as before. Does my software have a bug?
I've just tried doing the HDR merge on the same files in my old Photoshop CS3 and I don't get the problem. Perhaps there's a bug causing it???
In Lightroom and other programs I own I can click a button to show blown highlights or clipped shadows. I can't find this in PS3 unless I apply a curve or levels adjustment.

problem is I think they're using an older version of photoshop and mentioning shortcut keys. I can't control+click the menu text layer, i want to know how I can 'select the pixels'
I know that in ACR I can see where I have blown highlights by checking the highlight box. If I am working in PS CS2 and I want to see areas with blown highlights in a photo.

View 5 Replies View RelatedProblem: When I create a new viewport, another viewport's paperspace blanks out or disappears. When I copy a viewport over, the new VP doesn't show anything and you can't maximize/"enter" its paperspace; it's like a simple rectangle, but the properties box says it is indeed a viewport.
Ex. Viewport 1 shows the top view of an object, Viewport 2 shows the right side view... as soon as I add Viewport 3, the top view in VP 1 blacks out. I attempt to ReDraw, Regenerate, etc, but it doesn't re-appear. I've run Plot Preview to see if maybe it's just a fluke with the graphics card on my screen, but alas, even in plot preview the viewport is blanked out.
It almost seems like there is a limited number of viewports I can use.
Solution: Run the MaxActVP command and set the value to a number greater than the number of VPs you actually need. This particular file had that value set at 2; hence, why a new, third VP blanked out the first one.
To show our customers where we serve I would like to highlight everything below this black line... I have done some basic highlighting but it just doesn't looks professional. just shade everything below this black line and make it look professional?

the hardware shading options are all greyed and I can not activate these options. in openGL or DX9 (dx10 isn't working so fine as it seems). My computer is sse3 enabled. I do not understand.
