I've had this problem in my Max 2012 and couldnt find solution. I can't get rid of this problem even after clean install of Max 2014.
UI floaters (modify panel, render dialog, mat editor) have wrong width. Notice the space on the right of modify panel icons.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with the spacing of my text when I import a .rtf file. The spaces change width based on the width of the columns. The problem does not effect all the paragraphs only select ones. If I change the width of the column the spacing of the text will fix itself. All of the text is the same text style. I have attached a copy for reference.
View 2 Replies View RelatedTrying to use the width tool, I ran into the following problem. I would like to have a smooth transition of the stroke width between two width points while keeping the original stroke width unchanged outside of that line segment.
There are four width points here: two end points and two in between. The original stroke width is 200. The two on the left have one side set to 100 while the two on the right have one side set to 50. I would like to eliminate the distortion of the line width occuring in the first and third line segments. The only solution that I have come up with so far is to place two additional width points very close to the two middle width points: one with a 100-unit side to the left of the second point in the picture and one with a 50-unit side to the right of the third point in the picture. Yet there will be a small distirtion in between.
I'm having an issue where I'm creating a white border around two landscape oriented images that are the same exact size then doubling the width of the canvas. I've never had this issue before with PS CS6.. I tried resetting the photography workspace but no luck. I tried with two portrait oriented images and the same result. I've restarted my machine. I'm on Windows 7 Pro 64bit and I'm running PS CS6 64bit as well. Thought to do a repair through Programs and Features but there is only the option to uninstall. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary except use an action a few days ago I downloaded and used from

and I downloaded and used the press print action.
How I can correct this? If an image is 20 inches wide and I'm doubling it to 40 it's tripling the width to 60 inches. Is there a way I can reset every aspect of PS CS6 to get back to a factory state other than uninstalling and reinstalling?
I drew a cured line with the brush tool in illustrator CS5, but when I select the new "width tool" to change the width, it doesn't work.
Here are my steps:
1. Select the paintbrush tool
2. Draw something
3. Select the "width tool"
4. Try to change the width but it won't work.
Since I draw with the paintbrush tool, the "width tool" can be very handy if I can get it to work.
Can I reduce the palette width in LR 5 down to the width of LR 4? I am able to enlarge their width from the standard width – but how to reduce them? I am missing 100 pixels (2x50) for image view.

Data HD (D:) is 2 tera byte speed7600 rpm. Problem seems to be that 3D clip is tagged multiview video coding instead of multiview image. Downloaded file format: NTSC HDMV (m2t) video type ish.264 upper field first 24 bits 1920 x 1080 16:9 29.97 fps var bit rate (21.999 mbps) Dolby digital 5.1 sound 48000 HZ 448 kbps. Edit file format NTSC dropframe (29.97 fps) MPEG file 24 bits 720x480 upper field first DVD ntsc 16:9 video data rate var (max 8000 kbps) lcpm audio 4800. Trying to create 3D clip to copy onto USB key to attach to Blue ray player USB port to play on my 3D TV. Blue Ray player is samsung BD e5900. 3d TV is samsung 40 inch smart TV BD player will only accept DVD FILE in 3D and not Blue-ray nor AVCHD

so if i make something red in photoshop, it ends up truely being more purple.
i checked all the color setting in the "edit" pull down menu with the color setting of another persons that works.
I have an odd problem. When hit 'F' to go to the front viewport, the wrong viewport loads. I get a perspective looking view, and it's usually from below the grid. Top, Bottom, Left and Right all work fine. I've set the shortcut key to reference a Grid Front view as a work around but I can't pan in that view.
Is there a way to reset the viewports to default? Something has gotten scrambled.
The picture I've attached to this post is 180 dpi.However, Gimp says the ppi of the image is 300 (Gimp also used this information display the printed size, so it should be "dpi", but this is not my problem).
I fully understand the difference between dpi and ppi.My question is: From where is this information coming from?
My default image resolution in Gimp is 96 ppi (under Preferences > Default image > Advanced option).
When I open a clip from a bin and create a subclip, I expect that subclip will land back in the bin the master clip came from, but this is not always happening. Sometimes the subclip appears in the correct folder, and sometimes it shows up in the higher level master folder, or in some other folder, almost random. Is there some protocol to follow to make sure the subclip always appears in the folder of its master clip?

I have a problem with the 3D brush cursor in PS CC being offset and not where I'm putting the pen down. Best described by a vid which is here: URL....
The capture is a bit laggy so both brushes look a little delayed, in reality the CS6 cursor paints exaclty where you'd expect it to, the CC one is offset and it feels very unnatural. It's most evident on the first 2 strokes.Some system info, if it's of use:

I'm having problems with PS showing red and purple as blue. The RAW's are oversaturated with blue and nothing I do can reverse the colours. Both camera, PS and monitor is set to aRGB and the RAW files is showed correctly in the Windows folder. both the highlight and shadow warning are turned off!

View 4 Replies View Relateduser now using CS5.1.I develop webpages and quite often pend much time optimizing my imagesI have a small 20 x 20 picture used for a repeatable background. I try to save it as a gif and manage it go get all the way down to 200 bytes... Well thats at least what Photoshop tells me. Cos when I check in OSX 10.8.2 it tells me its acutally 1.2 kb... I originally made this picture in 40 x 40 which at the moment is 700b, so this makes no sence, that its not smaller than my 40 x 40. And I can see its not the wrong options I choose when saving.
I've also uploaded the image to my server, so see if it was a OSX-issue, but its still over 1kb... Is it a known bug or?
I have a windows 7 based machine with 24gb of ram and a 560to geforce video card and 980x CPU. have just reinstalled Photoshop cs5 and newest update, Photoshop now opens images at a viewing percent that is a lot smaller than the previous installation, currently a vertical image is 16.7% and a horizontal 25%, these should be 25% and 33.3% to almost fill the screen. what can I do to get images to open at a bigger zoom percentage?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI occasionally download drawings from web sites, (McMaster -Carr, Grainger, etc) for parts that I'm using. They make it easy: they offer drawings in multiple formats, (I use .DWG), although there's also .DXF.
The drawings open right up no problem. Here's the problem: What I see almost all the time is that when I copy and paste those drawings into my drawing, the scale is wrong.
Specifically:Say the original drawing has a feature with two holes, and the original drawing shows those holes as 1 inch apart, center to center. I paste that drawing into my drawing, and when I dimension it, the holes are never 1 inch apart. They're some completely different unpredictable dimension,
Is there a way to paste differently so the dimensions come down right, or is there something else I need to do so I can use those drawings without all the hassle I have now?
Colour settings in PS are set to sRGB and the printer colour settings are set the sRGB too. The whole colour settings thing confuses me anyway but what could be going wrong?
View 8 Replies View RelatedAfter changing picture to black and white or any other color change the picture will print some of the original colors especially greens and tans. This occurs when changing a jpg file or using layers. It did not happen in CS2 using the same Epson printer and the same printer settings.
I am using Vista OS.
I downloaded MacHacha because I needed it to join some segments for Toast . So, I open ImageReady and use it but I look in the dock and notice a funky icon and not the right one but again, it still works but I don't trust it. I close IR and re-open it but MacHacha opens instead. I go to my Adobe Photoshop folder which contains IR with the right icon but it still opens MacHacha. So, I click get info in finder and it says that IR is a MacHacha file. WTH? I don't even know how but after I copied IR to my applications but not in my PS folder and I right-clicked get info and it says Kind: Adobe IR but it's the wrong icon. I can use IR but it's all messed up. I opened it from the PS folder and got info and it says it was modified on the 10th which I don't understand. I've used it since then and right until last night, it was working fine with the right icon etc. I also can't jump from IR to PS but the reverse works. I even tried adding IR to the dock from Apps (not PS) and the right icon appeared. However, when I clicked on it, it didn't worked and the wrong icon is shown right next to it. Here are some captures, don't click- C&P. Now, it's happening with PS 7 which is recognized as a MacHacha file.

what is wrong with the guides in there? when using the snap to guide, and i select something within the guides, the stupid selection sometimes falls short or too big by 1 pixel. this renders the whole purpose of the guides useless.
i also find that its much harder to set the guides to match up. i set them, sometimes even zoomed in at 200-300% and when i zoom in more 1600% i find the guide not quite where its supose to be.
i didnt have any of these problems with my previous version. i looked around in the options and couldnt figure anything to make it better.
i use photo shop cs i want tp put text on a sig i was makeing when i send to put it on i could not see it then i set it for 6 pt and the letters where hugh like 1 letter is 338x363 and one know why this is
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having a problem recently that Photoshop shows the wrong thumbnails in the Custom Shape Picker. The thumbnail doesn't fit the actual shape. I tried resetting the shapes which didn't help. Brush thumbnails and others still work fine.
Everytime I open the Shape Picker it shows different thumbnails, sometimes the same for all shapes.
