I wrote a max script that renders png files from AutoCAD dwg files.
I wrote a test.exe application that launches MAX. When MAX launches the above mentioned max script runs and creates png files from the latest dwg files in a folder.
Next, I wrote a windows service to launch MAX every 15 minutes to do the same as above.
Problem... when the windows service launches MAX I can see 3dsmax.exe in the windows processes running but max just sits there. Nothing hapens. No cpu usage.
Is it possible to launch and run MAX from a windows servce?
When I try to authenticate facebook in lightroom, My browser (IE) opens and I log in.
Now a window appears with the following text:"no apps are installed to open this type of link (lightroom)".
And when I click "Done" in the lightroom dialog, I get a "failed to receive authentication token".This worked fine in Windows 7, but it seems there are some problems in Windows 8.
Is anyone here good at understanding Windows XP Services. I've had a problem with PC:CS which I'm troubleshooting right now, and I THINK it has to do (in part) with the fact that my Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) Service is stuck at STARTING.
(I do not get FILE > IMPORT options) and many of my FILE > AUTOMATE selections are gone (not grayed out, gone!).
If I can get this service to run, maybe it'll fix it. I don't know why, but even after purchasing the PS:CS upgrade, Adobe says I don't qualify for any tech support for the product.
After installing SP3 for XP I encountered problems while opening files in Photoshop. It takes 10x times more to open GIF, JPEG, PNG and PSD files than before. While it opens, Photoshop seems to freeze and it takes up to 20 seconds until a 10x10 pixel file or a 10MB PSD file is opened. So size doesn't matter.
I have been using the full version now for about 6 weeks and its hopeless. I can't do anything without it crashing, oh i can open it Thank god i have CS3 .. it works fine doing all the same work. If adobe ppls read this .... Can i ask what the you are doing? - i can't believe i paid lots of $$ for this .. Photoshop CS4 is very very flakey. in the last 24 hours i have had 7 crashes from CS4 .. not one from CS3 .... Total crashes using CS4 over two machines would exceed 50-60 crashes now, it seems it cannot even make an action without crashing 5 times. Can i have a refund or can you appease me and tell me i don't have the correct service pack, not develop software for adobe and fix there problems by been on the phone to them 24/7. I would even be keen to hear I'm not alone and this is a flop.
I installed Backburner same I used to install the older net rendering system.
It will not render when installed as a service.
If I run the server as an application and I am logged in as administrator it works.
When I install it as a service it won't.
The Service is run using an account that is an administrator on the local machine and that account has admin privileges on all local machines. It is not a domain admin account though.
I get an error on the manager software that there are no valid servers to process the job. On the Monitor software all servers are listed as being absent.
This became a problem when Backburner came out in place of the older version of the network renderer. Approx 2009 version. Even though they both appear to be identical what used to work fine now doesn't.
I got great results with X4, until it installed the service pack this week.. Now i cannot render an mp4 without long sections 'staggering' - like a strobing effect on the entire render, the picture lurches as it plays, and things like VLC hang when scanning thru the file..
Also, the framrate i set now has little relation to the actual outcome..
The piece i am rendering fails at a different point each time - the staggering starts and thats that, framrate drops to about 2fps - utterly useless..
I have tried removing the install and re-installing, but when i do this i can clearly see by 'check for updates' that there are no updates, which means SP2 is surviving the uninstall.
I have tried every combination of every setting for days, this is a new problem directly related to the service pack..
Where can i get a manifest of the files in the service packs? i'm going to have to remove them all by hand and start again..
I am trying to get AutoCAD LT 2002 working in Windows 7. I did searching on these boards and from what I read the solution is to install the AutoCAD LT 2002 service pack (upgrading AutoCAD to verison 44) and then instal the gedit 3 compatibility patch (upgrading it from verison 44 to 47.
The problem I have is that when I run the service pack installation program (K030ltss1_K044_aclt_unl.exe) I get a message that my installation is already up to date. However when I check the version in autoCAd itself it says that it's still at version 30.
Is there no proper way to uninstall the Bonjour service that is automatically installed with PS CS3? It is of little use to the average Windows user and the service is also messed up by being named "##Id_String2.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762##" rather than "Bonjour Service".
I have a FTP publisher that I'm unable to add photos to it in the Publish Services module. I have been able to drag and drop a photo to the service, but, noe I'm unable too. Each time I drag a photo to it ,it won't let me drop the photo. I check the plugin manager and the service is enabled, all settings are correct. I judt don't know and can't find any infomation as to why.
I have been upgrading from LR4 to LR5. Then I imported the LR4 catalog. But no Publish service was following to LR5. Â I have used the FLICKR plugin a lot - made more than 80 FLICKR-sets. How to migrate publish services from Lightroom 4 to Lightroom 5?
After upgrading to Lightroom 5, I found an error message in the Publish service pane reporting the Revel module as missing. Is there a new module foreseen for Lr5?
Have had the problem 0xc000007b caused by ilivid with LR4, easily fixed something I have to do each time there is a software update. My most recent software update of Photoshop is causing a new error message. CS6ServiceManager.exe - Application Error unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Can't run Photoshop!!
This will not install. It cannot find PSPPro.msi and neither can I using search. I do have Service pack 2 installed. Everytime I open the program it wants me to update. I am using Windows 8.
I need a consensus from the forum members here regarding this Service Pack 2 update (which is named Patch3.exe). I've read that it causes problems and I've read where it doesn't. As of right now, without the patch, my version is 13.6.2.36 , I think with the patch it will be .69, or is there another patch (or version) floating around out there that is more stable?
Also, under Settings>Performance the "Use Hardeware Encoder acceleration" is grayed out. How to check that thing off and what hardware are you using to get it to show up?
I am trying to install a service pack. the file is...
autocadmap3d2011lockedx86sp2
I click to install this application service pack and this error appears...
THe update could not be installed because the expected autodesk product could not ne located on your computer. Make sure that you are using the correct update for the product.
I believe I have the correct file for the product but I do not know were to go from here.
Since my AutoCAD crashes when exiting 95% of the time I thought I would install service pack 1.1. I have the 64 bit version of Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium 2013 which includes AutoCAD, AutoCAD Mechanical and AutoCAD Electrical.  It is a Windows 7 HP XW series workstation.
Everytime I try to install the service pack it does not install, and a dialog box pops up stating "The service pack could not be installed because the expected Autodesk product could not be located on your computer." To be certain I tried both the 64 bit and 32 bit service pack. What may be causing this? Is this possibly caused by the fact that in Autodesk Product Design Suite Premium, AutoCAD is kind of a burried inside AutoCAD Mechanical, somewhat like a sub-program of AutoCAD Mechanical.
im using acad 2010 in work and in home. i want full sync of all the customization i'vei made in both sides. itried to use a cloud service like Dropbox, i copy and paste there all the supportfiles and i set the path to there inboth machines but for some reason acad wouldn't use it.
Since the last adobe update;  Every time I save as a PDF I get 2 error messages:  This file does not have a program associated with it to perform this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default program control panel.  Then this comes up after as an additional message;  This service does not have sufficient privileges, please reinstall.  This has only started happedning since the adobe update.
I'm using Windows 7/32 + LR 3.2 + FF as my default browser  For the last several days I've been trying to get the Facebook Publish Service authorized against my facebook account without sucess. Facebook would add the lightroom application to my list of approved applications, but LR would not recognize that the auhorization was sucessfull after I clicked the "Allow" button in Facebook. I tried this with Firefox, Chrome, and IE and all three browsers failed. Firefox threw an error about the (lightroom) protocol being unknown and then redirected to my Facebook Wall. IE would simply say that it could not open the web page. And Chrome did something similar but I cannot remember the details (I think it redirected too). In all cases LR would report that the Facebook Publish Service was not authorized. I tried reinstalling LR several times and I tried adding the lightroom protocol to FF and associating it with LR but to no avail. Finally I stumbled upon a process that worked for me.  If this is the error you are seeing, then the procedure below should allow you to get properly authorized in LR:  If you already tried and failed to authorize then go into you Facebook Application Settings (Account --> Application Settings) and remove/deauthorize the LR application (using whatever browser you like to do this).Make IE your default browser. This is just temporary, unless you like it like that. You have to use IE, FF won't work and since IE worked here I didn't try Chrome. When LR opens the browser to authenticate you it needs to open IE, not FFOpen LR and click the "Set Up..." link for Facebook Publish Service. Then click the "Authorize on Facebook" button. When IE opens log into FB if your not already, then click the Allow button to authorize LR.If your having the same problem I did then IE will immediately throw up an error saying that it couldn't open the requested page. Look at the URL in the address bar. It should begin with "lightroom://...". Select and copy the entire URL to you clipboard.Go back to LR and click the "Done" button. This will return you to the Facebook Publish Service Setup Dialog and you should see that you are still not authorized. Dang! But you'll notice that the "not authorized" label is not a hyperlink. Click it. This will open a dialog prompting you for the authorization URL. Paste the URL you copied from IE into this box and click OK.You should now be authorized. You can now restore you prefferred default browser.Â
Do hyperlinks work when exporting to PDF with X6 without service packs? I created a hyperlink and it is showing up in the document but not when I export the PDF. I checked the box on the Document tab. Not created a hyperlink before so I may be missing something.
