How do I insert the custom arrow graphic so that it appears when I create a bulleted list, instead of the standard bullet point, which appears by default?

when a bullet point is long and does not fit in one line it apears in the next line unaligned.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using the bullet list setting. I turned on the bullets for a line of text. I didn't like the default, so I re-set the margin settings on the ruler. Fine, I've got level one to my liking.
Created a second paragraph by splitting the first. This creates a second level one bullet. I then indent again to the second level, and reset the margin settings to my liking. Good for level two.
For the third line I want to go back to level one. So I press enter to create a new paragraph, and then press shift-tab to set the level up one to level one, and the margin settings are all back at the default for level one. They were not remembered by Xara.
So I re-set that paragraph the way I want level one. For level two I create another new paragraph from that paragraph, and the level two is back to the default settings for level two.
Is there any way to create a style that can be recalled, or new default setting for bullets to meet my liking?
how to create a custom bullet using the bullet character style and configure it as needed. The issue I have is that I can't edit or delete a custom bullet character style once it is created. When I create a custom character style, it doesn't preview so I'm sort of guessing on things like baseline or vertical shift and things like that, so it is trial and error and then I end up with a bunch of extraneous character styles. What I really want to do is edit an existing one - is there a way to do this and I'm just missing it? And if not, can I at least delete the extra character styles?

What I would like to know how to do is to insert symbols or "Special characters" (such as letters of the alphabet with attention marks) i.e., as in the ' above the e in the word entre (copied and pasted this...) is there an easy way to do this in text boxes or should I continue to do it as I'm currently doing - opening a copy of OpenOffice Write or MS Word and selecting the symbol/character I want and copying and pasting it into the text box in Xara. One item I'd love to have is the pg. number automated. In the current title block it's just text not an attribute. Is there a way I can take only a part of the file name and insert it as a field?
For example, the file name is DW_12321_12.dwg the last part of the name is the sheet number. Can I exclude everything but the 12 and insert just that into the field?
I recently got a new drafting job for a chemical plant. The issue that I am having is that they are using AutoCAD 2004. That version came out when I was a freshman in high school and I am lost. I am trying to insert the custom blocks that pertain to our design standards, but I am getting nowhere.
I have the blocks in a separate folder. I am getting to the customize tool palette option, but every time I try and import these files the folders show up empty. Admittedly, I am not the greatest with the complexities of AutoCAD because I picked it up on the job and never had any "official" training; however, it has also been two years since I've had to do this and I am a little rusty... I'd like to think it's just that because they are using decade old software.
I am really new to paint.net and any type of software like this. I am trying to create a custom header using paint.net. I have tried learning about it with youtube tutorials but the latest version seems to have changed a little bit. Especially inserting a text box into an existing object I created.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have found finally one of the "not so changeable" lines that bugged me.I believe it's not really a filled unclosed object. Xara draws the line always, but the segment seems not to exist. And I was not able to close it or change it, only deleting it worked. Here is what I've done:
1. Create an "X" with the text tool, using the font "Abbess".
2. Increase it so it has about 400 pixels width.
3. Convert it to editable shapes.
4. With the shape editor select all points.
5. Put the smooth slider to 100%.
Now the upper left of the X has two points that seem to stick togother, even if you just want to select one of them. But then I was able to drag one away and increase the line. But I could not change it to a curve or anything.
We're using C3D 2013 SP2. The survey company we use uses point styles to show the blocks. Say they shoot a catchbasin. Instead of inserting the block, the point shows up as the block.
I did a field check & needed to insert a missed CB. When I inserted the block, the other points that were CBs disappeared. I had to insert the block, copy it the clipboard, undo the insertion & then paste the block in. It did this on other drawings & other blocks.
when using grids to draw, is there a way to get xara to snap to only points? lol i know i suck at art haha! but i think im getting just a tad bit better. no really today i drew a head and the other day i drew a car. at least i figured out how to draw on an isometric grid. i was using serif draw plus and i noticed that x4 has a psuedo 3d (which basically uses an isometric grid with snapping to angle. i know how the concept works now but im having some trouble snapping to the points. sure i could draw a flat car or a flat person but id rather keep at it till i understand depth. my current goal is to learn to draw depth through using an isometric grid.

For example in Shape Tool creating a horizontal line (click and somewhere beside CTRL - click), at me it creates control points at the end of the lines plus two ones on the line.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a small field (5 by 5 meters) to be set out with about 40 points. Currently i use EOV (Hungarian National Coordinate System), thus each point has a lot of digits. I want to make the implemetor's job easier, so i want to move and rotate the CS near to my field.
I tried to use UCS, but the COGO points retained the "World" coordinates.
How to carry out this without moving my whole drawing to the origin?
I like to make and print custom cards for family and friends. I use a heavy matte finish paper to print on. But the printing is never as vibrant as my screen image, and this includes photos.
Today I tried this and it worked fine. I converted the image to be printed to a 300dpi bitmap, then using the Photo Tool > Enhance menu, I increased the Saturation to the point where the image looked psychedelic. When I printed on the dull finish card stock, the colors looked just right.
I want to detect percentages of my artist's oil colors in any area of a vectorized photo that I point to.
So, I want to first vectorize a photo to reduce it to manageable separate color areas. Then, I want to be able to get a list of the various percentages of 108 different colors that make up any of the vector color shapes I point to or select. These 108 different colors are somewhat accurate small bitmap swatches that correspond to 108 artist's oil paint colors.
Alternatively, can I just somehow plug in this 108 swatch palette and have a software (Xara?) break down a bitmap into areas of vector color using only this custom palette?
Is this possible in Xara, or by any other means you know of?
