I am trying to get an image from a 3d program, saved as png to take into xara, the background is white, so I assumed once i take it into xara, that because it was saved as png that the white portion would be invisible.
It did not work, any other method for achieving the same result?
I've just upgraded and installed Designer Pro 7 on a windows 7 64 bit laptop but when I launch the program it appears to start(I get a spinning disk) then fails to appear. No splash screen, error message or interface...and in task manager it shows designer pro as using 1 core of the cpu (25%). I installed DesignerPro with no virus checkers turned off and I'm running it as administrator but no luck.

Adjusting the screen resolution is not an option. I have noticed this with previous version of Xara that I have used. How to do this if it is not in the program settings?

when i launch 'create panorama' i get the popup 'Panorama Studio program has been detected. Do you want to use the standard built-in panorama stitching feature or launch Panorama Studio*?'
if i click 'panorama studio' i get the following error this is a completely native clean install of xdpx9 so a re-installation of the program isnt going to fix anything especially since i had exactly the same problem with xdpx8
Seems to no longer be able to choose a color outside the program window.. Previous versions were able to choose any color on my monitors. Might add, I miss being able to click an object and open the color editor directly..
I closed the program & reopened... It then allowed selecting a color outside the program window. Weird. And now I see that rather than "color picker on the context menu, it's "fill color". Wow, I'm losing it today.

Photoshop CS3
Photoshop CS3 was all working so well until it stopped opening PSD format files that I had previously created.
I can open a JPG file but not a PSD file.
When I open a PSD file I get a messgae box "Could not complete your request because of a Program Error"
If I create a NEW USER ACCOUNT in widows VISTA, photoshop opens the same PSD files correctly.
Therefore there must be something wrong with files associated with MY windows user account.
I have looked at, and compared, user account files associated with Photoshop, even tried replacing the photoshop related files in my user account with those from the new user account.
every time I open it. A single message appears 'lightroom opening catalog: marsh-essex-country.jpg.ircat'. I had the last time I used the program tried to import a jpg image from my pictures. It failed the and now the program consistently crashes, in the faulting module msver100.dll
I have reinstalled Lightroom and it does no good.
How can I set ps cc as standard prog. to open image files? I tried the normal "open with" but that is not working.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was working on a very HI-res image when Paint Shop Pro X4 just quit. It just went away, no errors, nothing.
I can rescan the image, but it was a very large image and took lots of disk space.
Is this scanned in image still on my hard drive? If it is where do I find it, so I can delete it?
I just installed CS4, but this same issue arose with CS3 just before I installed CS4. I am running XP on a 12-inch screen Dell M1210 laptop, but often edit onto a 22-inch Viewsonic screen. The issue occurs on both screens.
When I open an image from Bridge to Camera Raw, the ACR borders fit within the screen just fine. But when I open the ACR image into Photoshop, both the right-hand side of the program border and the bottom of the image go off the screen. I thus cannot see all of the image at the bottom and cannot see all the buttons/controls on the right-hand side of the program border.
I have posted an image which is a screen snap of a revit session. Not sure how it got this way but we are unable to figure out how to reset it without restarting the program.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop CS5 with all current updates installed on a Mac running Lion. I am having a problem with the handling of the camera raw format (specifically .arw) and how Photoshop handles the format.
My first issue is that upon loading the format into Photoshop, the program is cropping a bit of the image from both the left and the right. I have not found a way to stop this from happening.
Another issue is file size. A client is having issue with the file size presented. They are providing me an ARW file that is 14.8 MB and I am making edits and provided them with a large jpg from photoshop (jpg qaulity turned all the way up) and they are getting a jpg at 9.7 MB. They are concerned that I am giving them a less than quality result.
I know that any conversion from a camera raw format to a high resolution jpg will result in a lower file size and that has been explained however the client has taken the raw format parsed it through Mac Preview, saved it, and resulted in a larger file size than I could provide in Photoshop.
This then becomes a confusing situation to handle.
Questions:
a) How to explain the lower file size happening in Photoshop to the client (what is lost?)
b) Why they can use mac preview and get a larger file size that I can at full resolution jpg in Photoshop?
c) Is there a way I can make this client happy without moving to a tif file format?
d. Why is Photoshop cropping the .arw file?
My gimp isn't starting up it says GNU Image Manipulation Program has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly Windows will close the program and notify you if the solution is available.

If I open Images with "Edit in Photoshop" that DO NOT HAVE Adjustments, the image will open up in Photoshop correctly. I just came from Windows to Mac.
latest updates installed correctly... cs5 and cc6 installed on same machine... now the problem... when sending an image to the printer in cc the program crashes.... but it does not crash when the image is sent using cs5 .

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a jpg image that has a table of contents on it. I want to slice it horizontally by each topic (8 topics) so I can export the eight new images. Eventually I will be inserting the images into Word, and will hyperlink each topic slice to a page in the document. The Word document will then be converted to an eBook. So far I've only been able to slice the image by overlaying a rectangle on the TOC image and using; Combine shapes/subtract command or crop the original image 8 times. There must be a simpler way. Ideally I'd like to just cut the one image with 7 horizontal slices, so I can easily piece it back together in Word. I looked at the image slicing function but couldn't figure out how to have multiple names on one image. I have GD 7.
