Xara :: Put Some Of Own Images In Folder To Use As Fills And Clipart

I am a new user testing Xara P&GD7.
I worked through a tutorial to put some of my own images in a folder to use as fills and clipart, going through the index process etc worked fine. I couldn't see any way to save them so I hoped it would be an automatic save for such things. Unfortunately they have now disappeared. Is there a way to save my own folders so that I can use them in any document?I normally work in 8" x 8" square pages, but each time I need to go back to Options and select Units: Inches and page size: Custom and type in the size. Is there a way to save Options?

What do I need to do to get my clipart to work?
It is there in the directory, and I can see it in xara 6 as well. But I go to use it and it says it isn't installed and that I should install from help menu.
I have tried so many tings and recently I tried changing the permissions, still no go.
It's weird cause I also own Xara Web designer 6 and they open in that program fine...

For some reason when I recently opened P&GD6 and opened the Fill gallery to choose a fill for an image, the majority of the fill folders would not open. Previously I could expand any of the folders to view the contents. Also, the top six folders in the Fill gallery list have (Web) after the folder name. I don't recall seeing this before either. The same folders also appear in the bottom of the list without the web designation.
How to get ALL of my fills back, or how they could have been made inaccessible? I've attached a screenshot view of the folder list that appears when I click the Fill icon. Yellow highlights at the top of the list indicate the folders with the word web after them. These are the only one that I can successfully open.

I can't I never tried out the bitmap fill tool until now lol. I was wondering if there are sites that you can get fills and add them into to Xara, I have tried a few texture files, but for what ever reason Xara does not find them when I load the directory (disk fills...)

I've just been to the web site and downloaded a bunch of brushes and fills that are wonderful. I used the suggested for unzipping the files and then going to the disc fills and loading the files. I only got a few to load and then I got a message that suitable files could not be found. I checked all the folders that I created and everything is in there but I keep getting that same message. The brushes are another story all together. I went to the folder and dragged and dropped the files directly into the line gallery as a new brush but I can't remember how I save each brush so that every time I exit the program I lose all those beautiful brushes.

How do I add those CD fills to the gallery? I noticed they are all stored in a cab file with their file extensions a bit changed, so I guess I could mass rename them and add manually, but I was wondering if there is any clean way of doing it? I don't want to reinstall, because I want to keep my toolbars and other settings...
...which brings me to my second question... how do I save the layout I created? I know new version is about to be released, and I would like to be able to back the layout up somehow and import, so I don't have to go through it all manually again. Anything I can do about it? I already tried backing up the entire xara registry, but didn't work...

Well, I bought Xara Designer Pro 7 the other day, and I'm trying to get used to it. One thing it's doing that really bugs me is that when I draw a circle or an oval in freehand, the circle fills in with solid color!

I downloaded some fills and brushes from Xara Xone, but even after reading the instructions given, I am unable to add them to Xtreme Pro 4. I unzipped and extracted the files to a folder on my flash drive. When I went to add them to Xara I could access the folder where they reside, but the files didn't come up.

I am attempting to edit a scanned abstract drawing where many of the colors are similar, resulting in them printing as all the same shade of red. I am attempting to change some of the reds to have a greater degree of shading. I am aware that I can probably do this using masks and RGB tweaking; but it occurred to me that I can also use a drawn shape and color fill with transparency to change the shade. This worked very well; but it caused one problem I don't know how to solve.
The image I am editing is intended to be uploaded to a website named Zazzle that takes your artwork and puts it on their products. This includes anything from notecards to canvases, to clothing, to shoes, etc., etc. Customers browse the site to find products and images they like. I also have a free webpage on the site where I can promote the sale of these items with my artwork on them.
The image must be a high resolution preferably png file which can be resized greatly for the canvases or left as is for notecards and the like.
While experimenting with the size of my image, I discovered that the edits I performed stay the same size while the rest of the image increases. Is it possible to make the edited shapes part of the scanned image so they will increase and decrease with the rest of the image?

When importing something off of a DVD or CD how do I direct Lightroom to copy the imported images or folder to a specific folder on my hard drive? It seems to default to MyCatalog but leaves the location on the CD rather than copying it to the drive. If I remove the CD the images is reported as missing.
When I go to the top of the screen for importing I can change the source but the location info on the right is not active or changeable.I am new to lightroom and coming from Photoshop Elements background.

I was in the process of moving a folder inside or LR. I might have clicked and moved it twice since it was very slow. LR wasn't able to complete the move and gave me an error message. After I clicked "OK" on the error message, I wasn't able to find my folder/images from the old or new location. I did a spotlight search on my mac, but I wasn't able to find them anywhere. Where has my folder/images gone? I tried to locate them without any success.

I just downloaded 3ds Max 2011 and am trying to add a background to my scene, but I have a problem - there are no presets or images in the "Documents/3dsMax/sceneassets/images" folder. Is there a pack I need to download in addition to the program?

I recently upgraded to Mac OSX 10.8.2 and Ilustrator 6. Now everytime that I go to palce an image or to relink an exiting image(s) rather than to take me back to the last folder I visited it takes me back to my Desktop and I have to renavigate the folder structures to get to the images I want to use. I've looked in both the Illustrator and Mac OSX preferences to see if there's a box I need to check to make it return to the last folder.

Have folders on desktop, images are in them. In import module, LR says the folders are empty and I can not import them. I recently had hard disc problem, have new disc, latest version Mac OS, restored all images from backup LR sees images that were imported before the disc replacement but now won't see new folders.

I have some images selected in Bridge. If I use image processer it's fine, the images get processed (using my action at the bottom), and ends up in a jpeg folder within my designated folder on the desktop. Unfortunately PS is also creating a duplicate image on the desktop, which gets real cumbersome with 200 images strewn across the desktop.
If I go batch route, nothing works becuase it's stops at the ACR window as these are DNG. (whether the override save as is checked or not)

how to save my slices to let's say /images2?
Renaming the slices won't do it. It's one .psd, depending on which layers I use it's for another design of a website.
Renaming the files after they're saved won't do it either since I don't want to have design1 overwritten.

I am using Lightroom 5 with two external hard drive which I have had no problems with untill now, however I can not now open any of my folders or image, the files are shown but greyed out. I can successfully get the images with no problems when I use my Adobe CS5 software, the harddrives are connected to a Belkin Hub I can not understand why they work on CS5 but not Lightroom 4.?

im losing all my images from "my pictures" as soon as I transfer them to lightroom 4 only to find that I have lost the folder in lightroom as well. then I have to go into the past month collections what can I do to stop this, does it have something to do with transfering colomn

I am exporting images from a folder in LR4.1 to another folder in LR while changing the name, and changing to a JPG. I have done this to 95 other images, placing them into multiple folders with multiple subfolders with no problems. Now I have created another subfolder and have tried exporting 8 images into this folder but LR doesn't show them. LR shows the folderd with the name greyed out and a file count of 0. I go to the hard drive and find all 8 images in the same (greyed out LR folder) location. Why is LR unable to see these files?
I have exported other files to other folders but when I go back to trying to export to this problem folder it doesn't work.

I want to use Lightroom to import around 40,000 images and thousands of videos.
1. How will I import all of this content? Do you just drag them into the program?
2. If I copy a folder containing 100 images into Lightroom, does Lightoom copy those images to another location to put all of the content in one spot?
3. Is it possible to use Lightroom with multiple harddrives? Example: I have a Macpro computer with 4 built in harddrives, and other harddrives that I swap back-and-forth. Can I somehow use Lightroom to tag and search for all of this content on these multiple drives?

I imported images into Lightroom from a folder I created on my desktop, I got images from Iphoto, and now Lr tells me images are "offline". I cannot work on them. I haven't purchased license yet and am using the 30 trial, though I don't thing that should matter.

I am attempting to export several CorelDRAW 15 projects to JPEG so I can send them to my publisher, but I've run into a couple of problems...
The first being that the images never actually export. I go to File->Export, select the file type, and then click OK on the options page. The options page just closes and nothing shows up in the destination folder.
The really weird part is that if I try to export the same file again, Corel spits me a message saying it all ready exists and should I replace it. I double check the file path on both ends to make sure I didn't just export to the wrong place and that isn't the issue.
I even went swop far as to check the directory in question in Windows Command Prompt to check for some strange ghost file that I've never heard of and it says that the folder is completely empty.
And then it got even WEIRDER. I right clicked the folder in question to check the properties and, to my amazed shock, it showed the folder containing 4 files and a little over 7 mb (the expected number). Upon a quick search in the start menu, the imported picture ACTUALLY showed up looking perfect with a file address leading to the ghost folder.
Now here's the fun part: I figured maybe it was just a display glitch that I could fix by just moving the folder to an other one, it then proceeded to give me this error:
" The action can't be completed because the file is open in another program. Close the folder or file and try again."
It didn't say what program, but I assumed cleverly it was Corel. I closed it and nothing changed. So I then went to the Task Manager to see if a Corel process is still running... Nope... Nothing. Corel -- as far as the computer is concerned -- is no longer running and I still can't get my files that may or may not be there.

I've created a simple action that just does auto levels and auto colour on an image, and it works fine. The problem is that it still takes me a while to go through every image and aply the action. Is their a way to set it to do the action to all the images in a certain folder, and then to save the result?

Is there a way to shut off the automated new "images" folder Illustrator generates when Saving for Web with slices? I have image folders inside image folders inside image folders. I can't seem to find a preference to turn this feature off. I am using Illustrator CC on a Mac running OS 10.8.4

I have used Lightroom since version 1.0 and at the moment I am using v3.3.
Now I have following problem and I can't find a solution for it: In the Navigator I have synchronized my complete folder where I store all of my photos. This folder contains more than 50000 photos already in many subfolders. But now I found some subfolders not showing all their content. I can see in the Navigator e.g. 216 pictures beside the folder name but in the preview I can see only 3 pictures! And I found some more folders which doesn't show their full content.
I tried to sychronize the single folder again but Lightroom says there were no new pictures and also no missing pictures to remove from the folder. If I open the folder by the Windows Explorer then I can see that all the files for the 216 pictures are there! So there must be a problem with the lightroom database!
But now I don't know what to do to get the pictures displayed in the library again.

I edited a picture and saved it in the same directory, as a PNG. On my next launch of Lightroom (2.1), I right-clicked on the folder and said "Synchronize folder". The file still isn't shown in Lightroom. If I pick "Show in Finder" on the folder, the PNG is right there and it opens up just fine in Preview when double-clicked.
