Xara :: Clip Art From Previous Versions Of Designer Pro?
Dec 1, 2012I want to add Xmas clip art from XDP7 to XDPx. In the design gallery of XDP7 there is a category called "Xmas (download). I looked in the clip art folders of XDP7 and cannot see a folder for the Xmas art. I see no indication of any kind of Xmas clip art. I read posts about adding old clip art on the forum but I really don't understand exactly what to do.

Sep 23, 2012Why in CS6 when zoom changes window size and a floating window fits in Photoshop window or on other display screen do I get scroll bars where a select all selection marching ants are not visible on all four sides till I drag out the window to get rid of the scroll bars so I can see all of marching ants.
In previous versions of Photoshop space for scroll bars is present but there are no scroll bar, select all marching ants are visible on all four sides when an image's window fits in Photoshop window or on second display. Is there a way to make CS6 work like previous versions? Also if I just open a document and Photoshop fits it to Photoshop window or second display the floating window is correct without scroll bars.

Xara :: How To Preserve EXIF Data In P&GD 2013 Exports
Aug 27, 2012One of P&GD2013's new features was supposed to be preservation of EXIF data when editing JPGs. I'm having trouble discovering when this happens.
For instance, when I open a photo, use MagicErase to remove a lamppost, flatten the group and then export/save it back to the original, all my efforts so far have resulted in the loss of the original EXIF data.
Is there a way to preserve EXIF data after editing (in any way) the original photo?
Xara :: Do Pro Versions Include Anything Like Photosynth
Sep 17, 2011I have Xara Extreme 5 and Xara Web Designer 7 Premium. These, plus Windows Live Photo Gallery, do most of what I want: design my own personal & simple websites and process photos, mostly to use on my websites. I build panoramas quite a lot (generally three to five & sometimes more photos).
WD7 Prem does have a pano builder but appears to be a cut down version (How cut down?) and recommends upgrading. Unlike Microsoft ICE (part of Windows Live Essentials) it requires the photos to be in the correct order and may be able to handle fewer photos. It does do a nice job of what it does. What capabilities does the upgraded version of Xara Pano have and is the upgrade the same as that in Pro?
Where does Photo & Graphic Designer (& pro) fit? I can find other comparisons not including WD7 Premium.
Do the Pro versions include anything like Photosynth - allowing you to take, say, 30 or more photos including close-ups and to synthesis all so you can pan an object and zoom in/out on specific areas? For example, I would like to photograph a gully and zoom in on various rock art features and flora & fauna in the gully and to use the finished study on my website?

It will show the preview of the change, but when I select it, the display goes back to the vanilla version.

Mar 1, 2012I have a user in my group that is hesitant to upgrade to 2012 because , he has many lisp routines that are associated with the PREVIOUS selection feature. This selection is very useful in that when you are moving or selecting many objects you can enter P for previous and the object will be selected.
In 2009, when you select objects then hit escape, then try to execute a command requesting to use the Previous, AutoCAD will remember the last selected object and then highlight it.
In 2012, when you select objects then hit escape, then try to execute a command using P for previous, it will not highlight the previous object selected but will highlight the previous object where a command was executed on.
Hope I haven't lost you. It seems there should be a setting under SELECTION of how to manipulate the Previous selection feature.
AutoCAD LT :: Cannot Save Previous Files To Upgraded Version From Previous Student Version
May 13, 2013I cannot save my previous files created on a student version to an upgraded 2014 version. I tried changing the save as path in the options menu, but no luck. I am able to open the file in the upgraded version but it states that it will open as a student version. Also I cannot copy and paste anything from the student version to the upgraded one. Not sure why.

Aug 8, 2011My "Magic Snap"[magnetic object snapping] has vanished/stopped working. Turning the magnet icon on and off does not do anything .I am using the latest Xara Designer Pro version [7.1.1.17261]. Is there any way to get it back without re-installing? I'm tired of having to re-install every time something goes wrong [which is kinda frequent]. I don't like having to reset the xara function icons each time [I use a different arrangement than the garden variety supplied].
I am using an i5 processor and have 8 gigs of memory running with Windows 7 OS.

'Set text shown when mousing over the image using the caption field on the image tab of the Utilities > Web Properties dialog. Do this for all images.'
I've done this, but all I can get to appear is the main title of the widget itself. At no point can I get individual captions to appear describing the graphic.

when i launch 'create panorama' i get the popup 'Panorama Studio program has been detected. Do you want to use the standard built-in panorama stitching feature or launch Panorama Studio*?'
if i click 'panorama studio' i get the following error this is a completely native clean install of xdpx9 so a re-installation of the program isnt going to fix anything especially since i had exactly the same problem with xdpx8

At this time I am unable to locate my original cd, which has been in mass storage, so I fear installing just to find out, otherwise I wouldnt have asked this forum, backed up my design project and tried this already.

I've been trying in vain through numerous settings to find a way to open a pdf document in Photshop that preserves the text information. (ie a vector based workable text on it's own layer)
My original text tests (created in Acrobat) consist of a few sentences..yet all i've been able to get is the unworkable rasterized text on the transparent layer.
I'm certain there must be a way.. either a setting when opening/importing the file or saving the original in Acrobat.
3ds Max :: Preserve UVW Maps After Optimize?
Sep 8, 2011I've made a model I'm content with - editable poly, and have added a UVW Map modifier and Unwrap UVW and subsequently rendered the UVW, taken it into photoshop and done what I would like to it then brought it back in as a diffuse material - all worked fine.I'm going to be using the asset in a prototype game so want to decrease the number of triangles rendered. So to decrease the polygons I've added an Optimise modifier. This is great for decreasing the number of polygons, but unfortunately as it changes the underlying geometry, it appears is mucking up the UVW coordinates and my material is all over the place.
What is the correct process or technique to decrease the polygons and preserve the UVW map appearance on the object, which was set on the higher res version? I've tried changing the modifyer stack order but as the shape has a number of irregular surfaces, the unwrapped UVW in peel mode is a real mess and would be extremely difficult for me to texture with any consistency.

I can have have a layer on top that uses the transparency of all layers beneath to control it's own transparency.
