Jun 24, 2012Is it still possible in Xara Designer pro V8 to set the right mouse button to choose the line color? Now you get a popup menu if you click the right mousebutton.

May 11, 2012Is there a modifier key to "choose the line color" when dragging the eye dropper? Looks like my only alternative to this is opening the color editor and choosing "line color" from the dropdown.

Jul 9, 2011Seems to no longer be able to choose a color outside the program window.. Previous versions were able to choose any color on my monitors. Might add, I miss being able to click an object and open the color editor directly..
I closed the program & reopened... It then allowed selecting a color outside the program window. Weird. And now I see that rather than "color picker on the context menu, it's "fill color". Wow, I'm losing it today.

I labeled the contour lines but sounds that it draws a line between them. Is there a way to hide this line to give it “no color” to have a better presentation for the entire map?

Aug 20, 2012I'm using Photo & Graphic Designer 2013. I notice that the buttons are now under the Page Elements menu. I'm trying to figure out how to change the button color without losing the 3D effect. The Help says:
�Change the color by clicking on the appropriate colors on the left end of the Color Line and choosing 'edit'
if I just highlight the button and change the color, it turns the button into a flat color.

May 9, 2012I've been using the shape tool more and more at work and wonder... Is there a "preferred" or "best" way to choose nodes when creating shapes? Let's say we've got a french curl stencil that we want to make. Is it best to simply draw where the curves start and stop, or in the "center" of each curve as it bends?
EDIT: Perhaps a silhouette of a mickey mouse type ears + body would be a good example.
Xara :: Choose A File And Save It As Default Template
Apr 20, 2012Whenever I try to open a new blank file in it, it gives me an error message saying I don't have a "default template", and I needed to choose a file and save it as a "default template". So I did, but now, I'm stuck with that template - I can't choose a letter-sized blank page to work on because that choice is no longer on the list under "New". What the heck is going on? I just want a blank page to draw on, and now it's not available.

Mar 13, 2012How do I control which colors appear in the color line that scroll across the bottom of the window. The only colors that currently appear are shades of reds/purples and yellows/greens. If I scroll across from left to right the same colors just keep repeating themselves. There are no shades of gray or blue. Can I somehow preset the colors that appear or do I have no control over what colors scroll across the bottom.

May 19, 2003Is there a way to choose colors outside of the Photoshop application using the Color Picker? Coming from Macromedia Fireworks, I have become accustomed to using the Color Picker tool within Fireworks, which enables you to pickup any color outside of the Fireworks application.
I have seen thrid party tools that let you choose colors from various programs, but they just give you the color scheme and you must type in these color values within Photoshop.
3ds Max :: How To Tweak The Mouse Scroll Button
Dec 29, 2011I find it a little hard to use the mouse scroll button for panning and rotating. Often I tend to zoom the scene or in the act of balance the scroll button when pressing it, I don't get the right tool and have to press it again, and that makes it not as intuitive as I would like to. I wounder if it's possible to alter the way I pan and rotate? Can I place the pan and rotate function at the right mouse button? Or is there mouses on the market that have a middle mouse button AND a scroll wheel so I can separate the pan/rotate from the zoom?

During the tutorial videos, we're instructed that using the MMB with the Ctrl, Alt, or combination there of, a hand icon will appear and certain movements will occur. My mouse is not behaving in this manner. I am wondering if there is a certain setting within windows I need to set the MMB, specifically for this program, since the default setting doesn't seem to work.

Jul 13, 2011Is there a way to configure the mouse button settings in Maya 2012 similar to the Hot Keys editor for configuring key settings? I would like to change the ALT-RMB setting to pan the camera instead of dollying it.
I need this because I have a three button mouse on which the MMB is also a scroll wheel, and whenever I try to click it it always moves and starts dollying the camera view instead of panning the camera view. I can dolly with the scroll wheel so I would like to pan with ALT-RMB. Otherwise I cannot pan at all.
Revit :: Orbit On Middle Mouse Button?
Sep 16, 2013I need to be able to work back and forth with sketchup, and revit. Unfortunatly the orbit and pan commands in revit are the exact opposite of sketchup( mmb = pan in revit) (mmb = orbit in sketchup) (shift + mmb = orbit in revit) (shift + mmb = pan in sketch up)
these commands are ingrained in my muscule memory and going back and forth is like writing one sentnce with your left hand and the next with your right. it is totally dibilitating.
Is there any way to customize these in revit? Can i change the MMB to be orbit and shift+MMB to be pan ?

Jul 31, 2012When holding down the left mouse button in the scroll bar area for just a fraction of a second too long, the scroll bar moves several positions. In the past, it wasn't this touchy. It's so touchy that it's impossible to CONSISTENTLY click once and make the scroll thingy move just one position. In previous versions, it works like a charm. Is there a way to adjust this mouse issue?
I use it on every image for cloning so that I can check one section at a time. For this reason, I've now gone back to CS5, but also because CS6 crashes on me and it sometimes gets stuck on Auto Saving files (possibly because they're big).

Feb 7, 2013I am editing at 100%, with square pixels, and no feather.
EVERY time I release the mouse button in CS6 (fully updated), the Info window shows the marquee dimenstions shrink by either 1 or 2 pixels (and I see the marquee visibly move as well). This make it IMPOSSIBLE to accurately to certain kinds of editing. I have to go back to my old CS3 to be as productive! (Current workaround: edit at 200%... but I can't see all I need that way.)
I am definitely not moving the mouse, because a) it is EVERY time, b) it is never more than 2 pixels, c) it is always a shrink, not an increase, and d) I use a trackpad: my finger is off the pad and no movement is possible, then I let go of the button and the numbers change.
Is there some workaround/fix, or is this just another bug?

GIMP :: Selection Not Visible Until Mouse-button Released
Apr 28, 2011I'm trying to use GIMP on Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick), installed using the regular packages. It seems to work fine apart from one problem: when I make a selection with e.g. the rectangle selection tool, there's no visible feedback of how big the selection is, only the cursor is visible(couldn't take a screenshot while the mouse button was clicked, but tried to show it at [URL] ......).
If I try to resize a rectangle, the inside purple line moves, while the outside purple line stays where it was (instead of showing how big the new rectangle will become when I release the mouse button).
Also, possibly related, there are sometimes purple artifacts from old selections.
