VideoStudio :: Import Videos (MOD Format) Corel Shut Down On Playback
Nov 15, 2010I am trying to import some video from a friends Cannon video camera and it records its movies in a .mod format. After I import a clip, if I try to play it to sample which file it is, it causes a problem with corel and it has to shut down. If I pull the video into the timeline it plays just fine. I checked my update and everything is up to date with video studio and it says it handles .mod files, but I do not understand why it is freezing then shutting down the program.

May 10, 2013Having now upgraded to IDSP 2014, what is the best workflow to get some good looking 3D visuals (stills/movies etc) from Civil 3D to present to planners/authorities/clients etc.
Is keeping everything in Civil 3D the best way or should I be looking at Infraworks/3DS Max/Navisworks?
Infraworks seems pretty slick but I can't seem to be able to show proposed earthworks platforms easily. The aerial photo seems to be draped over them rather than allowing me to chop a hole out as I can in Civil 3D. The only way I have been able to do this is by creating a coverage and styling that which seems a bit of a workaround.
The 3D performance of Infraworks is pretty slick compared to Civil so in this respect it is preferable to Civil.
Photoshop Elements :: Slides And Music Not Showing On Presentations?
Mar 20, 2014I have had a problem occur in the past few slideshows I have tried to produce in Photoshop Elements 10. When I try to export to Premiere Elements or Windows DVD Maker to burn, some slides show up as blanks. I have also had a problem with some musical selections not playing.

and then it closes down, I did uninstall the programme and reinstal it but the same thing keeps happening. It's always worked before until today.

May 4, 2013I have been working on a fairly simple website for a few months now using Website Creator X6. Everything was working well every time I tested the site internally. Now all of a sudden, the program is telling me the NOD file is damaged and that it cannot be recovered. I then get a message directing me to read "recover.txt" in the Website Creator directory for "alternative" ways of recovering the data.
The problem is, "recover.txt" doesn't exist.
I have tried importing the internally published pages to recreate the site, but Creator tells me the pages are "too large."
It also appears that Creator stopped creating backups of the NOD file.
How am I to recover this data so I can publish the site online? How could the NOD file have become corrupted in the first place? (I frequently got messages that the file was corrupted when I loaded it, but Website Creator always recovered it.)

VideoStudio :: Corel X5 Pro Video Will Not Burn?
Nov 20, 2012I downloaded yesterday the trial version of Corel X5 pro. The program looks great and I made a photo and videocompilation of 8 minutes with background music and slides. Here's the problem. When I want to burn DVD, the program starts, but after 10 minutes i see 99% on the 2nd level and the program jams. It happens everytime when I want to burn of make a video on my harddisk. I am seriously looking for a decent program where i can make nice photo and video slides, but Corel doesn't useful. I have Windows 7 Ultimate and my burner works fine. Only with Corel, like i written before it jams and then i have to quit the program.

Apr 17, 2011A week or so ago VSX4 suddenly hiccuped and flashed up a message ‘send DMP file xxxxxxxxxxxxx to Corel’ and the program then refused to function until reopened. But I could find no obvious way through the support web site to attach a file to an e-mail, something which used to be possible for you or so ago. I finished up ringing the only Australian phone number on it could find on Corel’s web site and the lady who answered offered to forward my e-mail with DMP file attached to support. So far I have not yet received a reply.
1.Why did the program want me to send a DMP file?
2. link to a method for sending a DMP file to Corel?
3. How simple would it be for Corel to put a link to allow program users a direct route for this from the CorelGuide that appears on clicking the down arrow surrounded by dots?

So far I've used AVS Video Editor, Cyberlink Power Director and Adobe Premiere.With each program I've spent 30 minutes making a quick demo video to see how intuitive it is and how well it performs. Today I downloaded Corel Visual Studio and decided to give it a go.
I've run into a problem straight away.I've tried to import raw avi files.So I'm using the "Select Import Source Folders" screen.When I navigate to the folder containing the files the OK button is greyed out and won't work.It's greyed out all of the time.

Nov 4, 2010Had a project in VSPro X3 SP1 crash over a month and a half ago that was making little sense so contacted Corel Tech support (what a nightmare that was). Surprisingly I got a response that told me the error was related to Quicktime 7.6 and that the development team was aware of the problem and that the TEMP fix was to uninstall quicktime 7.6 and install 7.5. This was all over a month ago and no FIX has surfaced. Contacted tech support again regarding this issue and a possible fix and was told
"We would like to inform you that any information as to when an update patch or newer version will be released is only available to our development team and marketing managers. However, if an update patch or a newer version is released, they will immediately post it on our website so we advise you to check it on a regular basis."
VideoStudio :: How To Track Motion Titles In Corel X6
May 26, 2013The video I am editing is of a school orchestra concert. The players are seated in place, not moving. However, the camera is sometimes panning, so that if the title remains at the same place on the screen, it ends up moving over different heads. I would like the title to remain at the same place in relation to the orchestra, even when the camera pans.
Track Motion could be used to do that, correct?
I tried it, following the directions in the user guide, which seemed quite complex. I set a tracker with track motion (beginning the same time as the title starts), then right-clicked the title and chose "match motion".
After doing that, playing back the project, I now see no title at all on the video. The only way I could see the title again was to "remove motion".

VideoStudio :: Corel Has Stopped Working Message On Startup
Feb 15, 2012I installed Corel Video Studio Pro X4 Ultimate on my laptop at the end of last year and up until now it has been working fine. Because I was not happy with the final dvd of hd footage (I don't have a blu ray burner) despite trying all the settings I purchased Pinnacle Studio 15 ultimate because that seems to give a better result when burned to disc. At first Pinnacle was not working in that all of its elements were not accessible so I was editing my footage in Corel and then burning the end result in Pinnacle. Having gone on to the Pinnacle Forums I was advised to change from the default computer desktop theme of Aero to Windows Classic and change the display to smaller - 100%. This solved all the problems with Pinnacle and it is now working properly. However, when I tried to open Corel it came up with the message Corel Video Studio Pro has stopped working, close the programme. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still refuses to open up. Until changing the desktop theme Pinnacle and Corel did not appear to conflict with each other so I had no reason to think there would be a problem running the two applications.
I have taken a screenshot of the error message but cant seem to paste it to the post.
I now am running a Core i7 -2760 QM CPU @ 2.40 GHZ laptop
16gb RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium
64 bit
VideoStudio :: Video Capture For Corel Stopped Working
Jan 14, 2011The video capture function for my Corel VideoStudio12 program. When I hit the capture tab, nothing happens. Just two months ago my 17 year old son used the program without any problems. All the other functions are working (edit, effect, overlay, title, audio,).
I am not very tech savvy, so I hope there is a simple solution. I am able to capture video with Windows Movie Maker, but I prefer to use Corel as it is a much better program.My operating system is Vista Home Premium, I am using a firewire connection to a Panasonic Camcorder, model PV-GS83.

One of the things coaches are interested in is running times from home to first base/home to home. I've found the most effective way to display results in real time is to have the time lapse overlayed on the video clip. I've seen this feature with Adobe editing software, but not with Corel. Does this feature exist? Is there a filter or patch to access it?
