VideoStudio :: How To Change Track Height
Mar 15, 2013I have googled about changing the height of individual tracks and couldn't find much. Is it adjustable? If not, is this planned for the future?

View 1 RepliesI know this is an easy one, but how do you change audio levels (volume) inside a song track, including length of fade in and fade out?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen cutting video shots in sync with a music track how can I remove part of a clip and replace with a new shot. I know there is a replace clip facility but there appears to be no way of editing the new clip. What I would like to do is leave blanks in sync with the music and fill in correct length of shot later. The same question for overlaying video shots of an interview and holding sync when returning to interviewee.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn VideoStudio 6, how does one connect the voice track to the video during the editing process?
My specific issue is that I have to go back and edit material sometimes that precedes the voice track I already have laid down, but when the time frame of the material after my new edit I have to go back and drag the voice track to the proper location. I would like to be able to permanently "attach" the voice track to the specific video clip and have it follow that clip as it is moved, time wise, during the editing process.
Is there a means to make this happen?
PS - I realize there is a work around way - just publish each clip and then rebuild the final project but that is NOT what I want to do.
I see that you can split the audio from the video. Can you do the reverse and link the audio back into the video say after you split, cut and mute an off camera scream? It would just make it easier to add clips before the edited one, although it's not all that hard to sync things up.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've installed NewBlue ColorFast, and it shows up in VS X6 as expected. If I drag and drop it onto the video track, the changes I make apply, no problem. But if I drag and drop it onto the overlay track, then make the changes I need, they don't stick … they go away when the dialogue is closed. Is this filter limited to the video track only? Or do I have a problem here?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI rendered (in animation software) a series of .png files with transparency for an overlay in VidStudio. 150 of them that all need to be shortened from the default photo duration of 3:00 seconds. Plus, for each one, I will need to adjust the size of the overlay track. Is there a way to manage the entire track for these adjustments? Or a place to adjust the preferences..?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to combine 2 videos to play over each other (i.e. one full screen one anchored in a corner) the overlay track plays at an accelerated rate with no sound, whereas the main video will play as normal. However if I switch them around the same problem arises, the overlay video plays fine the main accelerated with no sound.
If I play them separately they will both play fine. The video I am trying to anchor was recorded with a webcam and therefore may be the problem. If I need to give more details w/ specs etc.
I have been recording some narration in little chunks (for easier editing if needed), but they are called uvs130819-011.WAV. I understand about the date, but I would rather have them named by the first few words of the "paragraph" read, or something else that would make more sense to me.
Is there a way to change the name of the sound clips ?
I'm just about ready to buy Corel Studio Pro X5, but one "issue" is bothering me, I cannot fade in and out the overlay track. I can drag the cross-fade onto the image or video, but it doesn't cross-fade with the actual video. Instead, the screen suddenly goes black and the overlay track fades in. Same on the way out, it just fades to black (queue the music ) and then the underlying video pops back in.
I'm using the 30-day trial Video Studio Pro X5.
I decided to make the jump from X3 to X5 ultimate to give Corel a try again, actually the deciding factor for me was the included mercalli stabilization as it seems to be pretty good.
Anyway, I created about a 10 minute movie from a few videos, which is divided into many clips. Now I want to disable the audio from the video track and add a sound track. I found a nice sound track with the included auto music, but I can't figure out a way to mute the entire audio track from the video so I only hear the added music. I can only see how to do it one clip at a time. Is there a way to do all the clips at once?
I guess in hindsight I should have muted the audio from the video before splitting them into clips, but I've been used to using Vegas which allows you to mute the audio from the entire video track and thought I could do it later with X5.
Am I stuck with doing one clip at a time? Or do I have to save the movie then bring it in as one large clip then mute the audio from the video so I can replace it with a music track? the mercalli seems to work pretty good - which version it is they bundle with X5?
Using Video Studio X4 I have noticed that I can insert a Title to the overlay tracks. The initial title goes to the title track, but can be dragged to the overlay track.
I’ve had a look at the track manager and as expected there is still the option to use two title tracks. Even so the ability to use the overlays for titles is very interesting.
I must have turn off a switch somewhere, after rendering a project I found the music track is not included. I can hear the music track in edit and preview. But after render the project, the audio attached with the video is ok except no music.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have seen tutorials and used successfully the process needed to produce a cross fade between the primary video and overlay tracks in VS pro x5, but it's a process requiring several steps. I was recently revisiting my VS version 9 located in another computer when I noticed that VS9 seems to automatically place crossfades between the two tracks.
Is it possible to do this in VS pro X5? Was this feature abandoned on versions later than VS9?
I'm a professional musician trying to create material for my website and YouTube. I recently shot video with two cameras at an event. I need to learn
1) how to insert the second video track,
2) how to line it up to the exact time of the first video track, and 3) how to pan back and fourth between tracks to create a short film.
When I place an .avi file onto the overlay track it will only play the sound and not the video. The screen just remains black with the sound coming through.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two cameras to use to make videos...a sony cybershot and a webcam. The Sony takes nice close videos, but there is a terrible loud buzzing noise coming from the track when I try to edit it. However, the webcam has no buzzing noise but I don't like it because of the poor quality the video is, close up. So I'd like to use the Sony but I can't deal with the buzzing noise. My question is, is there any way to mute the noise from the camera and add a voice over. I want to narrate my videos anyway but my voice is not loud enough to overcome the buzzing from the camera.
I tried everything I can think of the stop the buzzing from the Sony but I can't figure it out. The buzzing sound happens on all programs I use, not just Video Studio.
I unplugged different devices while testing including a cordless phone and wireless mouse. The funny thing is, is that the webcam used to do the same thing but not anymore. But I just can't use it because the video sucks.
When I add a photo/clip into an overlay track, it is always too small and I end up having to re-size every one of the clips/photos.
Is there a way to define the size of the "default size" of an overlay clip/photo?
How do I align/rotate a still image on the overlay track using Corel Pro x2. and is it possible to place text on the still image?

It is quite obvious you can change the duration for any individual photo display time on the video track. I also see that you can stretch or compress the music track to fit time of the slides. However, this would distort the audio track to some extent. Is it possible to select some or all of the photos and automatically set an average time so the sequence will equal the play time of the audio (ideally one file, multiples, or complete audio track)? Also, Is there an upper limit on the number of photos that can be in the video track (obviously there would be an upper size limit for a given media that would be used)? What are some of the upper limits reported and have rendering issues resulted at some poin?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe video I am editing is of a school orchestra concert. The players are seated in place, not moving. However, the camera is sometimes panning, so that if the title remains at the same place on the screen, it ends up moving over different heads. I would like the title to remain at the same place in relation to the orchestra, even when the camera pans.
Track Motion could be used to do that, correct?
I tried it, following the directions in the user guide, which seemed quite complex. I set a tracker with track motion (beginning the same time as the title starts), then right-clicked the title and chose "match motion".
After doing that, playing back the project, I now see no title at all on the video. The only way I could see the title again was to "remove motion".
I'm currently using Pro X4.
I would like to know how to use a Transition without it affecting all tracks above it?
For example, if you apply a crossfade transition to a title track to make it fade-in, it will also affect the video track(s) above. The videotrack will suddenly turn black and then fade in together with the title.
Actually it will affect every track above the transition effect. So if you use for example the 'Switch Off' transition on the 2nd title track, it will also switch off the 1st title track, any possible overlay tracks and the main video track.
I can't imagine this should be happening. Is it a bug on my computer or is it a software issue
I can't seem to trim a clip in the overlay track. When I'm scrubbing through it the F3 and F4 keys will not work. This is a clip that I have already used Multi-trim to create.

How can i move an an overlay track through the time line ?
EX. the overlay track is a logo & i want it to keep moving around the screen through the video.
An Overlay track has a photo on the end of the track, there are also photos at the start of the track.
When right clicking on this track behind a photo at the start end of the track to insert a photo behind an existing photo, the new photo goes behind the photo at the end of the track.
Is there any way to use right click and insert the photo where you want it?
I am trying to remove the original audio track and replace it with a new one. Is the only way to do this by muting the original audio track, or can you delete it completely?
