I'm wondering if there is a site where I can download video/photo masks for my projects. I'm definitely not good at trying to create them myself in PSP, and there are hardly any in the "mask frame" in VS4 (I haven't installed VS 5 yet).

There is a new option on X6 to download an edited video to an SD card. How do I download to a USB Flash Drive? Is it the same option or is there a better way.

And I am about to start a video for a foster dog I have. Basically, I want to take a whole bunch of pictures (and possibly a short clip or two) and put them into one video and post on Youtube for the rescue to use.
Here is the one I did for the last rescue dog I did when he got adopted and was waiting for his new owners to come and get him. (I know nothing overly fancy, but I am happy with it). [URL] ......

She zooms in and out of some pictures and I REALLY like that effect. I emailed her and she said she did it on a Mac and it's called the "Ken Burns Effect" Is something like that possible using Video Studio? And if it is, how the heck do I get that to work?

I know that you can do this one by one, but if you don't document the used parts how to identify the used and unused ones?
I can't seem to find any masks, or make a successful one myself in Paint Shop Pro, that creates a white photo border around a video, to make it look like a bordered photograph. All the edges I've made want to let the video show through the white border. How to do this? I just need a white border around a video to appear as if it's a photograph.

I want to have a video of her (example) sitting and talking about growing up. Is there a way to insert a photo on the main video track and still keep the voice track intact? Example: She is talking about her childhood. A photo apears of her as a small girl while she is still talking. The photo goes away after a few seconds and there she is live and taliking. I hope to get away from using the overlay track.

Previous versions of the Photo/Video Bundle included the Ultimate versions of Paintshop and Videoshop.
Looking at the web page and box photo for the X5 version of the bundle, it seems to now include only the non-Ultimate versions.
Confirm that the Photo/Video Bundle X5 has been lowered to the Penultimate versions?
I am using photos for a slideshow. How do you resize a photo or video on the overlay track to the exact size on the timeline? I know you can use the resize handles but is there a faster way?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI had no problem working with and feathering masks in Designer Pro 9. However the upgrade to Pro X9 has made "improvements" that I cannot figure out.
I have a photo in which I want to blur and darken the background while leaving the subject person clear and bright.
I used the mask painter tool to mask out the person, so far so good. I used the picture editing tools to blur and de-bright the unmasked portion. So far, so good.
The result had (of course) too hard an edge between the masked and unmasked portions of the image.
How can I soften (feather) the edge of the mask? OR how else should I be trying to accomplish this task?
To repeat, I could do this just fine in Pro 9, but in Pro X9 I just can't seem to find out how to do it.

I am having trouble with using my layer masks. I can use the masks that are hidden (shown with black screen) and apply them with the white brush, but I cant get white or shown masks to be taken off with the black brush. Sometimes, not always I have trouble adjusting the opacity of white masks. I was playing around with actions I downloaded and after applying three actions to a photo, elements froze on me. I read about trashing preferences, I dont know what that does or means but I tried to hit cntrol alt shift when photoshop was opening and nothing happened. When it first opens it shows I can install the new inspiration browser ( i dont know what that is either) thinking it was a required update I tried to update and it gave me an error message, something about the installer has been mis-configured.

In all cases, all I get is a small 3.5 mb file. When I click on the file, i get a spinning astrix that spins for 5 minutes then times out.
I was going to buy Xara Designer Pro 7 upgrade tonight, but since this happened, I'm holding off till I know that the software works on my system

I recently purchased Video Studio Pro X3 - and after going through the knowledge base and product read me, I have been unable to find an answer to the following problem I have:
PROBLEM:
I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.
As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.
as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!
I have a LIVE show recorded and I want to add Video Filters in various places within a single 4 minute video. Do I need to cut up my video to segments to add filters too or can I apply them to different spots in a single video?

View 3 Replies View RelatedHaving learned the drill with VS Pro X3, I went right to the "Do More" tab to download Extra Templates, Font Packs, and Title Packs after completing my new VS Pro X4 installation. Almost all of the "Free" packs downloaded and installed as expected without incident. (The word INSTALLED now appears under each successfully installed pack in the list of downloaded elements which originally showed a button reading DOWNLOAD NOW.)
However, for some unexplained reason, when I click my mouse on the DOWNLOAD NOW button for Font Pack 2, I see a very brief busy icon, followed by no noticeable response from the server. No error message is given.
I have tried closing VS Pro X4 and then relaunching the app before attempting to download Font Pack 2. I have tried closing VS Pro X4 and then rebooting my PC before relaunching the app and attempting to download Font Pack 2. Neither tactic succeeded.
It seems there were more 'album transitions' in previous versions. is there a way to download more album transitions?
