I'm trying to make a birthday video for my son and want to start it off with a birthday card that opens. How to animate this or make it, at all. To look like a page turning and being able to see the inside of the card, both pages, then turn over to the back of the card.
I'm trying to create an actual birthday card that will turn the page from the front to the middle pages, then turn the page to the end.
I'm trying to create a fireworks display in VS4. I downloaded BluffTitler DEMO and have tried it there, but wonder if there is a way to create them in VS instead? To be precise, the "fireworks" display I'm trying to create is actually made of ice cubes. I've downloaded a great ice cube photo, one cube, which I'll have to duplicate numerous times, yes? Will VS4 animation be able to do this?
I'm also attempting to create a burning edge effect for some photos, like each one is burning up. I've tried the "burn" transition and it's not what I'm looking for. I'm trying to make the photos look like the edges are on fire.
I just downloaded LR4 and when I plug in my card reader the images will not open and the icons on the upper rt and upper left are not present. How can I resolve this to show my images so they can be seen and selected?
I'm doing a series of videos for artists for practicing gesture drawing. They basically consist of 1 or 2 minute poses interspersed with 30 second pauses. The poses are drawn from my portfolio of model photography I've build up over many years, so they are stills. The 30 second pauses are just so the artist can flip to another sheet of paper, sharpen a pencil or shake his arms out.
When the pause is on the screen it will just display a generic background with some text showing which pose is coming up and a boilerplate copyright notice. But I thought it would be nice to have a little countdown timer being shown during the pause so the artist can see how much time remains before the next pose starts. What's a good way to integrate a little animated timer or clock that doesn't look too amateurish?
Does if VideoStudio X3 is compatible with my ATI TV Tuner 650 Pro capture card? It works fine within my Roxio Media Creator 10 program, but I want to use Pro X3 to capture. However, the program always returns the error: Either no video capture driver is installed in this system, or no device is connected.
I know how to change the run time of the entire animated title clip, but how can I extend the end of the finished animation so that just the completed titles viewing time is extended? VS pro X5. Titles
I've been subscribed to Hallmark's website for a long time. I paid them the fee to select and send any of their 'Premium' cards for the 1-year rate. However, I'm extremely disappointed in Hallmark's website, their Ecard offerings, etc. Their list of choices is very small, and many of the cards do not even fit the categories they are placed into. Hallmark has fallen way short of the reputation for quality that it used to have years ago. I'm referring to its website's online greeting cards.'
So, I want to know how I can use Video Studio X5 to create my own personalized animated "Ecards" (including sound) that I can send as Ecards. I have found no animated GIFS in the downloadable stuff from Corel, although I can create my own, if necessary. Neither have I found any quality 3rd-party programs for creating online Ecards; most are junk (according to reviews I've read).
I would be working mostly from very short avi files, jpg images, and adding my own text and sounds. An objective is to keep each filesize smaller than 25MB's so that each Ecard can be E-mailed.
I'm likin' it for the most part, but am having some problems when applying any (animated) Boris 3D titles or enhanced 2D titles. Preview slows to crawl. Taking as long as 50 sec to preview a 6 sec title effect. VS crashed at 60% on attempting to render (MPEG-4 HD) the same 6 sec. title effect.
These are not sophisticated titles I'm using here. Just using Boris' animated templates, changing the font format to 3D or 2D with borders and shadows. All on plain black swatch background, no other tracks in use. If I just use the default plain 2D text the animations work just fine.
I'm set to full hardware acceleration, changing preview from Best, Better, My hardware profile is on the right, am I short on GPU for these types of animations?
I'm trying to create a fade in animated gif based on a youtube tutorial. The tutorial has a background then creates a new image layer. The image layer is duplicated and the opacity is increased from lower to higher values.
A copy of the background is created and placed under each newly created layer.
The video then merges the layers down into the copied backgrounds. This is where my gimp version does not work. My new images will not merge down into the copied backgrounds. Is there a setting that I am missing on my layers?
We are relative newbies to VideoStudio 4 but we're able to make some simple movies. Now we have been instructed to create a video that has a single red line that begins in the upper left corner, and continues to extend, to the right, towards the right side corner as the video progresses.
How to accomplish such a thing. We have the basic VS4 package, which comes with Boris Graffitt plug in, thats very complicated to us..
I'm trying to create a gift card in Illustrator. When I initally create new document under "File", I set the width to 3.5" and height 2.25" and the top, bottom, left and right bleed to .125". There wasn't an option to preset the radius of corners for the gift card. The gift card appears square in the document like a business card. How do I create the rounded corners of gift card in Adobe Illustrator CS5 (PC)? Lastly how far do I inset the dash line where text (or QR code) will be positioned? I wish to be able to save gift card document as a template for future projects.
why the create animated sequence (Make Preview) will often times freeze and get stuck on one frame even though the time is progressing? Quite often when I create my previews, it will progress to a certain point and the frame won’t progress and it will continue to create the same frame over and over even though the time slider is progressing through the animation. I’m using Max 2011 and 2012 but this has happened in 2009 and 2010. To fix it I have to keep a close eye on the sequence images and stop the preview to restart it at the point it stopped.

How to create an animated gif with round corners? I know to create rounded corners for normal images with the crop function, but I don't know how to make rounded corners for animated gifs.
I'm trying to create an animated GIF for use in a PowerPoint presentation. I've created the images in PDN and saved the cels as GIFs with the transparency threshhold set to 255. (I've also tried 0 and values in between). The individual cels have opaque white backgrounds, verified by inserting them in a PP slide overlapping another image. When I load them as layers into PDN and save as an AGIF, then change the extension and load onto the PP slide, the white backgrounds are now transparent!
This wouldn't normally be a problem, except that the transparent areas have an odd mottled effect to them instead of being solid white. How can I correct it?
I don't want a greeting card template. I can create the cards just fine. I just want an action to create an image of a greeting card. I've scoured the net and can find actions to create business cards, book covers, magazine covers, ..... but none to create greeting cards.
I want to use a different size than the templates. The size is A2 which is half of a 8/12 by 11 paper then folded in half. (that way you can print twocards per page). I want to be able to resize my image to fit this size, add text to the front half with the image and a little text on the back.
I purchased elements 11 last year to not only edit photo's but also to create my own greeting and announcement cards.I'm having trouble figuring out how to create a greeting from scratch. It seems as if I can only use Adobe's templates. Is there any way I can create my own?
I am working in CoreDraw X6 on Windows XP, and I was trying to create an animated gif banner. When I completed the set up, hit preview, the animation did not work. Thought maybe it was just the preview so I saved the file as an animated gif. Opened it in Windows Picture Viewer, and it still did not work. I also tried the process in X5 without any successful result.
I set my viewport to render with a "graphite" style, and I click on the viewport's plus sign menu, and choose "create preview" > "create still image file", I get a fantastic anti-aliased, detailed export of the viewport. I'd like to make a movie version of that, but when I choose "create animated sequence file", I get a horrible chewy gross looking version of the still as a movie. Is there a way to improve the quality of the animation version so it looks as good as the stills version does? I've tried a bunch of settings in the animation dialog box, and nothing works.
