I am building a new desktop and am thinking about using dual graphics cards for my work in Corel X5. Ive seen nothing in technical specs or min requirements that even alludes to the program being able to take advantage of an SLI configuration (evga gtx 465 superclocked with 1gb ddr5).Â

I have tried without success to find a review of this series and of the card I am interested in particular. Nor can I find any mention of it or its performance in a user forum anywhere. My display is a NEC2690 (26") running at a resolution of 1920x1200. I don't game and just want a new card for PS and Corel Painter work. I have CS3 and will probably move to CS4 idc.
I am still using Coreldraw X3 I will be purchasing X5 next month. I need to know how to make a greeting card in X3.

To print business cards, I selected Label AVERY 5371 - 2X 3.5 BusCr. Print preview looks good. There is no any visible alignment problems.
When printing is completed (Linen paper AVERY 5371), there is about 2 millimeters alignment problem for each card. I created my own template and the print is with the same results. The printer I use is Canon MP830 ink jet.
I have CorelDraw Graphics Suite X6. I have created what I want in the end to be a double sided business card. However, when printing I am unable to get what will be the back design to align with the front design. Does Coreldraw have a option of sort to make this happen automatically? Or is there a technique to make this happen?

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy VideoStudio Pro X3 crashes every time I run a project. The projects vary in length from 15 seconds to 30 minutes and comprise MP4 files in one and MOV files in another. I have applied the latest patch, but that didn't work. When it crashes I get the following error message:An unhandled win32 exception occurred in vstudio.exe [9600]. Each time the number in square brackets changes as well. I have an HP PC running XP with plenty of grunt and 900GB of disk space and 3.84GB RAM. The files are coming from my Digital Video Camera HiD with a resolution of 1920x1080. I have the latest versions of Quicktime and Bonjour.
Since purchasing the product last year I have not been able to use it and each time I fill in the contact form to send to Corel support, I hit the Continue button and nothing happens, so have not been able to get any support from Corel. There is no error message or reason for not being able to contact Corel.
CorelDraw X4 seems to run slow on my new system.
I used X3 on a very low grade business computer at my last job and it worked flawlessly, now I have a stacked HP system with X4 and it runs doggie. I notice it most when cropping bitmaps with the node edit tool. I will get an hour glass (blue ring) when I do this.

I want to add a realtime clock to my video ... following the timeline clock. Can I do this with VideoStudio? How?

When I try to plot a simple circle shape on my Roland CM24 the image cuts twice and is extremely slow (juddering).
I believe the double cut is caused by the hairline & fill but messing around have only gone from double cutting each shape individually to do double cutting the whole image.
I installed X6 today and when I got to start the program it stops running immediately. When I click on the icon the start up window appears but then freezes on "Creating Application Environment" and then just stops running. I am trying to run x6 on a relatively new hp pavilion g6 laptop.Â

I have the script set to execute with hotkey ctrl+numpad+
The odd thing is, when I run it once, it seems to work fine and only one object is left, but when I hold down ctrl and press numoad+ over and over again, it seems to produce a new copy of the object everytime.
I'm not sure why this is happening, but I need to get it to stop.Â

I have a pack of tarot cards which I want to make it look as if flying in a storm..in a circular fashion...and then add my character in the middle...
Is there any way I can do that in PS?
if the nVidia based cards having a problem might be from certain manufacturers being nVidia only describes the chipset.

As of now I Have a GeForce 4 MX440 I would like to upgrade to one of the following:
ATI 9600 XT: 500/600 256MB 128bit

ATI 9800 Pro: 380/680 128MB 256bit
Could you recommend the best one to use with Photoshop CS2.
I make TV features, using multiple P2 cards. I use a Panasonic card reader to use my footage on Adobe Prem Pro.
Â
How do I use footage from the three cards, and export it as a MP4, if two of the three cards I need to use aren't in the card reader? I've done things all off one card and it works ok. When I take a card out to use another one, it will tell me the footage is offline, right?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set up my Dell U2711 monitor for use with 10 bit display (30 bit color) in Windows 7 via Displayport. I noticed that CS6 now has a "30 bit display" option in the Advanced GPU settings, and saw Chris Cox's commentary in another posting that CS6 no longer relies upon the GPU driver to enable 10 bit display.
Â
Has CS6 changed what video cards are able to work with 10 bit display?
Â
I know previously it needed to basically be either a AMD Firepro or possibly a Nvidia Quadro workstation class card with their advanced drivers in order to work. Can 10 bit display now work with the more mainstream Radeon HD 6xxx/7xxx or GeForce GTX 5xx/6xx cards? I'd like to buy a more powerful video card for general purposes, but not have to pay the very high price of a workstation class card.
Is it ok to use 2 identical video cards (Nvidia GT 120) in a Mac Pro with 2 monitors and PS? Any benefit or problems from using 2 cards - each monitor getting a seperate card?
There might be instances where I might need to run 3 monitors but it will mainly be 2 (a 21" and 24" NEC multisync's).
I'm working on a business card project and I want to put three cards on one pace with crop marks on each card. How can I do it? I only know to put crop marks when saving to PDF or exporting to printer and on one individual element on the page.
I want to have those three cards with crop marks, and on one page.
I took a photo for a family Christmas card, and am trying to make the card on Photoshop. This question will prove what an amateur I really am, but I am having trouble with layers. When I change the size or format of one layer, all of the layers change as well.
I can't seperate what I do on one layer from the next. Can someone please help me with this? Also; I can't change the size of my photo to fit it on the other layer. How do I change the background layer from the photo to the background I want?
I am trying to create an image to use for my business cards and I have come up with 4 cards all using the same design. Please let me know which you all think would be better.
Business Card 1
Business Card 2
Business Card 3
Business Card 4
Note: These were created with photoshop.
Currently my display card is a NVIDIA Quadro FX 500/600 PCI. One of the reasons I chose this card is it supprted dual montors. Now that I have upgraded to CS4 Extended I need to upgrade my display card.
When I went to Adobe's List of tested graphics display cards for Photoshop CS4 and seen such a long list of cards for Windows.I thought I would come here and ask if any body else has upgraded theirs. I would perfere to go with a nVidia card. Do any of these cards support dual monitors? Or how can I keep using my two montors? Price wise $250.00 is the highest I can go.
which card to get?
I have Photoshop 7 and I want to create some business cards in Photoshop and then print them.
How do I set it up so that it will print out on those business card sheets correctly?
how to make or create J-cards and also how to print four of them on one sheet of paper or card stock?
View 1 Replies View RelatedLong-term user of CorelDraw, and have just found Xara P&GD, which is quite a revelation. I've re-designed my business card and how to print to A4, pre-perforated card. CorelDraw can make use of Avery templates for printing the single business card design, multiple times, on the same sheet of card, but I can't find a way to do this with Xara without physically copying the design to make a composite A4 layout. Can Xara do this the "template" way?
