Aug 1, 2012I only use about three of the fx. Is there a way to remove the others so I don't have to scroll through the list?

VideoStudio :: X5 Sound Effects - Empty List?
May 23, 2012Video-Studio X5.. Using: -> Auto Music Icon above timeline: -> Scope = Sound Effects - Filter = Any -> No Sound Effects Listed.
I do have Music, Beats & complete access to the remaining smart sound features, cant find any sound effects though. Question ? Do any effects come with Smart Sound for VS-X5. I searched Smart Sound and found there website, and I'm not positive but it looks as though they are charging 29.00 for each sound Effect
Photoshop :: How To Remove Deleted ABR Files From The List
Aug 29, 2013I have included an image to show you what I'm talking about.
I have some ABR files (blue, red, & brown numbered files) that I have combined to make new ABR files (blue, red & brown corresponding files marked as "M"). The problem is, after creating & saving my new ABR files, I went into the Presets/Brushes folder & deleted the original individual (blue, red & brown numbered files) ABR files. HOWEVER, as you can clearly see, they're still in my selection list in CS6!
The whole reason for doing this was ease of accessing certain types of brushes & to clean that list! If I can't figure out how to remove the DELETED ABR files from the list, it will be huge by the time I'm done!!! I have closed & re-opened CS6, hoping that will "refresh" my brush selection list. As you can see, it most definitely has not.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Remove DST From Recent Documents List
Jul 22, 2012Attached is a zip file with a standalone program to aid in cleaning up the Recent Documents list for all flavors of AutoCAD, 2009-2013.
It's pretty self explanatory, just be sure to run it with no sessions of AutoCAD, or vertical products, running. It should refuse to run if it sees any Acad.exe application in the running tasks list. Once the dialog opens it will show you all of the Autocad related products you have installed, select one and it will fill in the first list of recent documents. Then select a profile for that product and the second list will populate with the SSM related recent documents saved for that profile. You can then select any item from either list, if the same DST filename exists in both lists it will automatically select them both. Use the standard selection methods to select more than one (shift-click, control-click, window).
Be sure to Unblock, if needed, the zip file before extracting the exe file. (Check the file properties)

After numerous years in my field, there are a number of file formats I have - and probably never will - need to save my files as. If I could remove some of them, then it would speed up my workflow (so that I don't have to scroll down every time I save a file).

Lightroom :: Remove Volumes From Import -> Select A Source List
Jul 18, 2012First, I'm using the new Lightroom v4.1 on a Windows 7 x64 system.
I'm trying (without success) to remove volumes from the list that's shown when a user clicks on the 'Import' button (lower left of screen) and 'Select a source' which, naturally, shows all the drives in my system.
There are five volumes; four internal and one external.
There are only two drives which contain photos that I'm interestered in importing/editing.
The other drives contain files that I have no interest in editing or organizing.
For example, several hundred (scanned and collected) very old family photos that I wish to keep pristine, with no editing of any kind. As for placing them in collections, I already have them in dated, carefully named folders.
So, as this is a shared computer, I want to remove the volumes (drives) so that the aforementioned photos can't be inadvertantly imported.

I noticed drop shadow and outer glow get expanded, but not inner glow. also if I make the outerglow effect in cs4, open it in cs6, use it as a style, it stays live. once if I edit it, it gets rasterized. is this normal behavior? if so, is there documentation as to what effects are backward compatible?

Sep 24, 2013How the heck can I remove banding from light gradient? I watched over 100 tutorials about this and yet not a single one works for my case! I have a light set in dark red color over a solid layer. That creates a color gradient. But it's so blocky that messes up the whole video.
My color depth is 32 bpc.
I tried adding noise 5-10% (result:nothing)
I added some boxing blur (result:nothing)
In preview color seems (not sure about that) to be ok but when saving it into mp4 then Ι get everything messed up.
My output options:

24 frames
profile: high
level:4
bitrate settings:vbr,1pass
I don't know what to do!! I want a smooth gradient light on the solid layer without all this blocky look! why is it so difficult to have?!

Apr 1, 2013I designed an image in Photoshop CS6 and brought it in After Effects I wanted to add rain then following CC drizzle effect so that the image I designed looks like the drizzle is hitting the character shoulders and arm area.
As I add the drizzle effect I have some areas around the charcter that the drizzle is also hitting how do I remove the unwanted drizzle effect areas ?I tried eraser tool but that did not work unless Im doing that wrong.
The last thing I'm having touble with, how do I get my audio sound effect ( rain sound ) to play at the same time as the rain fall effect and drizzle effect all at the same time?

Is there a way to remove the *Model* page setup entry from the list of Page Setups in the Page Setup Manager? This is the first time I am seeing *Model* in the list, and I suspect that it the reason I am not able to generate a PDF for this particular drawing. When I try, I get the following error:

I have this idea that removing *Model* from the list will do it. In addition to causing PDF creation failure, I believe it is also responsible for forcing the Model to always be in the Publish list, even though I have unchecked the "Include model when adding sheets" option. I can remove it from that list manually, but it comes back every time.

Jun 12, 2011I want to create a movie using video studio x4 I have around 20 folders with pictures and videos I want to add all of them to the list of folders in the Video studio x4 folder list so i will have all the media organized there for editing I dont know how to add all the folders automatically, is there an easy way to do it? I tryed to drag and drop but it wont let me, how to do it without creating each folder on its own (it will be lots of work)

Jun 16, 2011I installed X4 on a new pc with the following hw: Gigabyte MB with I5 2400 with 8Gb ram and Gforce 430GT video adatpter + 1Gb ram on it, 160GB sata system disk + 1TB data disk. Win7 64bit is runing in English. The problem is as follow: After the program is up I put 2 sample shots and then push the transition bottom. It take a long time till I get the my favorite to show up, then when try to select let say the F/X sub list again take a long time till it show up. In XP environment it work without delay. I tried it also on a 32bit win 7 with same results. So I assume that it is something related to win 7.

Jun 13, 2012I would like to be able to view my Library items in a list, rather than icons. I would like to be able to sort my Library items by name, or date taken. This would come in handy in many ways. For instance, if I have previously named my images properly (perhaps with a date format like IMG_2012_06_10), then I would be able to easily import series based on dates or names of files. If the library is smart enough, it might even be able to read the "date taken" property, then I could sort by that and insert into my timeline accordingly. Also, it would be nice to separate the samples that come with VS from my actual content. Perhaps these things are already possible, I don't know. I can't seem to figure it out, so maybe the GUI should offer more friendliness to laying out my libraries?
If there is already a list-view option with the sort feature in X5.

May 25, 2012I am using one of the premade text effect that fades-in two lines of text. I want this fadein to (1) last 3 seconds but the title, once fully into view, to (2) remain on the screen for 10 seconds. I just can't figure out this second part.
I can duplicate the original title so the two lines are positioned correctly after the effect ends but then the effect starts over again. I can't get the two lines in the exact same places by recreating them. And if I take a screen shot of the final frame, again, I can't get it positioned so the lines of text are in the exact correct place.
VideoStudio :: X3 - How To Remove Some Frames From A Clip
Aug 28, 2010Trying to take a chunk of frames out of the middle of a clip. The manual says:
"The Navigation Panel is used to preview and edit the clips used in your project. Use the Navigation Controls to move around a selected clip or your project. Use the Trim Markers and Scrubber to edit your clips."
I have done that. Trim Markers set to start and end of frames to be removed. So what is next? Where is the magic button that removes the unwanted frames? Have tried Delete but nothing apparently changes.
While I am at it, how do the scissors work? Can click on them at the start of a series of frames but they become greyed out after that.
Have done a lot of stuff in Windows Movie Maker, which was much more straightforward, but unfortunately it can't cope with HD. VSX3 manual is good at giving you various different ways of selecting frames for deletion, but seems to miss out on the punch line: "now do this to delete them".

I tried to uninstall it, but I guess I did not do it correctly. A file is still running. It has to do with Windows color sheme.
After starting computer up, a window appears saying something like Windows color sheme has been changed to 7 basic. Because (and I can't recall all the words, but it has to do with a Ulead file still running)
I would like to completely remove any Ulead files still occupying space in the computer. If I knew where the file might recide I could go into the registry and delete it.

Feb 19, 2012I got great results with X4, until it installed the service pack this week.. Now i cannot render an mp4 without long sections 'staggering' - like a strobing effect on the entire render, the picture lurches as it plays, and things like VLC hang when scanning thru the file..
Also, the framrate i set now has little relation to the actual outcome..
The piece i am rendering fails at a different point each time - the staggering starts and thats that, framrate drops to about 2fps - utterly useless..
I have tried removing the install and re-installing, but when i do this i can clearly see by 'check for updates' that there are no updates, which means SP2 is surviving the uninstall.
I have tried every combination of every setting for days, this is a new problem directly related to the service pack..
Where can i get a manifest of the files in the service packs? i'm going to have to remove them all by hand and start again..
