I have problem with .avi files. I can insert .avi video to library. That is not the problem, but when I want to insert it to the timeline, that show me error message, where is written: "The content of this file is unreadable." It's video from Google Earth recorded by Fraps.

2) how to line it up to the exact time of the first video track, and 3) how to pan back and fourth between tracks to create a short film.
I have completed a few projects and would like to add some more videos to edit a new one. Is there a way to organize the library so that there aren't eventually hundreds of clips in there?

I can do this when I move the clips to the overlay track, but I need the overlay track for actual overlays, so I don't want to do that for this project. I need gaps so I can put in narrative text between each clip.
Alternatively, is there a way to have multiple overlay tracks?
The Pro X3 help file says I can extract audio from a video file, but doesn't say how. What I would like to do is extract a segment of audio music from an MPEG2 video file using PRO X3 and add it to the Library for use in another PRO X3 project.

PROBLEM:
I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.
As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.
as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!
I have a LIVE show recorded and I want to add Video Filters in various places within a single 4 minute video. Do I need to cut up my video to segments to add filters too or can I apply them to different spots in a single video?

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe capture went just fine when digitizing my tape and the .mov file has both audio and video during playback in both quick time and Adobe Premeir Pro, but when I drag it into the time line only audio will show up. Even weirder it's 4 layers of audio instead of just one audio and one video. This only began with videos that I catured today. When using footage I captured on a previous day it works just fine. When I have it up in the source box I can play it and the aeudio is there. But if I ovrwrite the clip or drag the clip it adds the video only with no audio. Even if I try to drag just the audio it won't allow me to put it in any ofc the audio trays. Did I acidentally push a button and turn iaudio off. How do I fix this?

I am testing out VideoStudio X6. I was positive until I tried to make a video from .jpg. I am not able to do so. I have tried every capture option availabe, and get different errors, like "file form mismatch", cannot open display and the list goes on.
I have used the day to read about it it, try to update all drivers, nothing is working.
If I am not able to do this I cannot buy the program.

I've needed to insert special characters & JPGs in title text a few times and haven't found a method. The typical word processing stuff doesn't work: Combining half marks; Combining diacritical marks; Typing special characters (Unicode Standard) even when assigned to custom keys.
In Hawaiian, I need to use a glottal stop (upside down, mirror image apostrophe) and a standard macron over an "I" (hard to find in any language) to be correct. I don't think I'll find an Hawaiian keyboard. Changing languages doesn't work either because the restriction is; availability of keyboard characters.
I've created a Video Studio 8 project with numerous subtitles that line up with their related videos.
Foolishly, I waited until the end to create a main title still image and title wording that now need to be inserted at the beginning of the time line.
Is there a way to insert the image and title at the beginning so that all the subsequent subtitles will automatically shift to stay aligned with their related videos, or do I have to do that manually?

I added a plugin (Mercalli image stabilizer) in VSX3. It didn't work right away so I re-installed it. Now I have it two times in the FX library. I have it only once in the Corel program folder ( in the vft_plug folder). I would like to delete the extra one in the FX library. Where can I find the related buildup folder?

I built a big library with all my films in my x2 version, i took lot's of hour to build it so, I would like to import this library in my X4 pro.
i tried import/export library function but it didn't work.
X4 prompt me a message " missing or corrupt file" when i tried to import my X2 library.
I am having using CVS Pro 4 for a few months. Now my hard drive is about filled up. But I cannot find where the libray is in my hard drive. where is the directory the library is located so I can back up my video files.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using version X4 and don't see option turning off image resizing. The problem appears when I want to insert image larger than a video size (i.e. 640x480). Video Studio put image to the video layer with resolution fitted to video size. I want it to put image with it's original size.
For example I want to insert image with the resolution of 1920x1080 to the video 640x480. As a result I see on the movie still image resized to the smaller resolution (640x480) - it can be fitted to the video or can maintain original aspect ratio but it has smaller resolution! Then when I wan to show a fragment of the image (let it be a 640x480 crop of the full image 1920x1080) Video Studio is re sampling 1920x1080 image to the smaller resolution 640x480 and then the only way to show cropped image is to enlarge this smaller one. When it is enlarged lets say to 120% is OK, but I need to enlarge it to 300-350%. It looks horrible.
Is it possible to insert a .VSP project timeline details within another project timeline ? My purpose is to be able to edit the various components of an existing timeline project (titles, transitions, some photos and videos deleted or inserted,...) while intergrating it within another .VSP project. I tried the "insert a VS project" feature but it is inserted as one video in the top video/photo timeline, preventing me from modifying any of its components ?

On the subject, what size would I have to size photos to fill the whole frame in Video Studio Pro X3? I know the diminsions would change with format but where are those numbers? I get window saying, "Files cannot be imported, maybe number of files is not correct or files are invalidated." Is there any way of getting my saved library files from Pro X2 into the new X4 library? Also got 3 FX volumes of New Blue "Video Essentials" in Pro X2. Is there a trick to importing them into X4? What to do?
