View 3 RepliesI am trying out a few video editors, having never worked with one before. I shot a video with my camera and have imported the MP4 file into VSPro x4. But I would like to disable the audio track --to silence everything my camera's microphone picked up when I was shooting the video and save the result as a "silent film" also in MP4 format. I don't even need to do any splicing or cutting at this point. But I cannot figure how to kill the sound. In one of the products I'm looking at, there's a Disable Audio option on its Output menu. I cannot find a counterpart option with Corel Video Studio Pro x4. Does it have this capability?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a small ~180 MB wmv file and I am just trying to trim 10 seconds out of it. This file plays fine in Windows Media Player. When I bring the file into a trial version of VideoStudio X6 pro (evaluating whether to purchase) there are sections of silence appearing consistently in the area that I need. I can see the silence in the 'audio track'. This silence does not exist when playing the video in Media Player.
I also noticed (possibly related) that the video will simply stop playing at points. If I move the scrubber a few seconds after the 'stop point' and hit play it will play again for a bit and then stop suddenly again.
I have this .avi file that I imported from a mini-DV tape through 1394 cable onto my computer. I opened this video file in the program, and I want to extract the audio file from it, but the "create sound file" command is unclickable. What should I do to get the audio extracted from my avi video file?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 and every time I put a song in the project and play it, no sound comes along. It just stays still and after a few seconds goes to the end of the sound file.
Also, whenever I edit a video that has sound, when I play the project, the sound comes all wrong in the part of the edited video. If I did nothing in other videos of the same project, the sound comes good from them. It happens with x2 and with x3.
Using X5 to create a video file from a project file in the timeline.
After the file completes rendering, the project preferences default is set to play the rendered file. But I find that when the playing commences after rendering, the sound has an echo effect that isn't part of the original files. Like the original sound is reflecting off walls, and you get the same sound just spaced apart by a small time period. I've tracked this to what appears to be X5 playing both the rendered file and the project file at the same time. If I turn the project preferences item "play after render" off, off course nothing happens after rendering completes. And separately playing the rendered file, the sound is normal.
Is there a way to stop this echo effect? Ideally, just play the rendered file only. But failing that, change the preferences default. However, there does not seem to be any way to change the project preferences default for this item.
I have a project which is a party with background burble. I cut to a mute cutaway shot of the mountains outside the window, then back into the party. I want the background burble to run right through. How can I strip some sound off a combined video clip and lay it under the mute outdoor shot?Used to do this quite easily in 16mm.

Second: After capture my DV tape from Panasonic 400 to Hard Drive (with default setup and 16:9) I discovered that every few seconds video is distorted as well as sound is distorted too. I am sure that original tape is OK.
Using VideoStudio X4 Ultimate 14.2.0.23 I have the following issue:
When doing a crossfade between video clips, the audio crossfades just fine in the preview of the edit screen in X4. However, after exporting to DVD 14:9 format, in the resulting MPG video the audio of the first clip correctly fades out, while the audio of the second clip doesn't fade in... it just jumps in.
I downloaded the trial version of VideoStudio 4 Pro to try it out and I like the interface and the ease of use. My problem is that when I capture MPEG 4 files in the timeline and go to replay them, the sound and video are very choppy and the replay skips the whole way through.
I converted the MPEG 4 files to wmv, and the video was smooth but I lost some of the image clarity in the converting process. I don't think it's my computer because the MPEG 4 files play nicely on MediaPlayer - just not on VideoStudio.
When the video file is saved and burn on DVD disc and play on a DVD player, only the images appear on the TV screen but there is no sound coming out from the speakers. I'm using Studio Pro X4
View 7 Replies View RelatedRunning Ulead Video studio 10 Plus and have used it well for the last few years, on Windows Vista Home ed. Have put the audio on to the project as i always have and ever had any problems wih it. Now though it will only play the sound when the audio clip is selected and not when project is selected, although the coloured lines move on the mixer in both sourround sound and non-surround sound when project is selected.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have installed a trial version of Photoshop CS6 and am editing video. When I open short videos to edit the sound on the original video plays fine but when I open a larger video (1 hr) the sound does not play. I have played with the mute button to no avail. Sound is fine on the original file. Is this a limitation of the trial version or a bug or some mistake I am making?

I am using Photoshop CS4 extended on PC Windows 7.I understand the following -
-For audio I need to choose Quicktime format
-Photoshop is primarily image editing software (with video capabilities)
When I play the video from "importing video frames into layers" the audio doesn't come out anymore.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can see my mts video files in Lightroom 4, but however they do not have sound. Is there anything that I could do to have the sound? (The sound is working for videos that I made with my Nikon 3100 camera, but not for the videos that I made with my Sony camera.) Also, is there a way to light the video files from Lightroom 4 to Adobe Premiere, as Adobe Premiere seems to have more editing capabilities and plays the sound from my Sony videos?
View 3 Replies View Relatedif I export a sequence from the timeline and have it imported into the project it only imports the film but without any sound. With some codec I can play the clip as it should be in the windows 7 ultimate explorer but I sometimes also get automatically a HD-file and the sound files as way as a separate thing. I never had that before. In fact what I want to do is to create a sequence from my timeline and have that as a separate HD-file to use whereever in the project. Especially if the sound is not the original one but added by myself. I have done that before and I would just get my HD-file and could play it in the preview WITH sound. Now all I get is the picture but .... like I said: without sound. That is not normal. So is that a rather useless update or a failure in the program?
And how can I copy a sequence from a timeline and place it anywhere else on the timeline. Used to be so easy in a previous premiere version. Now copy and paste does not work at all anymore. And whenever I want to add a clip onto a layer, I have to shut all used layers, because otherwise the sound goes anywhere but where it should and might just place itself within another sound-layer.Used to be all much better and simpler in previous editions.
i edit video tutorials in Photoshop CS6. The voice is on its own mono audio track. The voice track will be cut multiple times within Photoshop to adapt to the ongoings in the video. After editing the audio track in Audacity (or sometimes Audition) i wonder which file format i should use for the audio – so that i can import it and easily cut it in Photoshop CS6.
I used MP3 192 kBit, but it seems that sometimes i cannot exactly mark the millisecond where i want to cut. The marker bar jumps around and I get uncontrollable results. Of course this can be a general cache problem, but i wonder if there is a certain audio file format that's best to edit (file can be uncompressed and large). I do make long pauses in speech in order to get more easily cuttable tracks.
If i use MP3, is VBR more difficult to edit? Should it be another file format altogether? Photoshop CS6 imports these audio file formats:
AAC, M2A, M4A, MP2, MP3, WMA, WM,
some of which can't be written with the audio softwares i use.
I'm running elements 11 (on windows 8 pro), and I noticed when I click on a video, (the thumbnail is there in organiser), and hit "play" all I get is grey screen, the timeline runs fine, theres sound, just no image.

Importing video AVCHD (home video) - video plays fine....but i hear no sound.
Pumped up volume on PSE video screen and computer master volume...but still no sound. It cant be that difficult to get sound...could it?
All i did was import the video from my C drive into PSE 11. When i play the video on windows media player, it plays fine. I hear the sound perfectly at 5.1 surround. So i know the movie file is good.....so why wont the sound import into PSE 11?
My camcorder is new 2013. SonyHD w/ 5.1 surround sound
I would think there would be no compatibility issues since i am using latest PSE 11 and a newer camcorder.
I have recently completed a new project and made a video file (using the DVD option). This video file plays perfectly with media player etc., but when I the burn a DVD from the file all I get is the pictures with no sound.

Suddenly Pro X3 will no longer play audio.
I import any mpg file which are known to have sound and when i ty to play it there is no audio at all from Pro X3. This has been working all along and it just seems to have stopped. I have made sure of the obvious things. We get sound from other apps so the computer and speakers are fine. I have checked the sound icon from within Pro X3 and it is turned up to max.
