Softimage :: Make Pipe Of Picture To Grow From Bottom To Top?
Nov 24, 2012
I would like to make the pipe of the picture to grow from bottom to top in an animation of softimage.
I have created the pipe extruding a circle along a curve. I would like to know if there is any possibility in softimage to make the effect of appearing gradually from bottom to top like it is growing up and controlling in the frames that I want on the animation.
I used to use MediaStudio Pro to create picture in picture especially where the picture starts small and grows to cover the entire background video clip.
I looked for and found a video filter which I thought would allow me to do the same. However after viewing the 'help' for the filter and trying just about everything I could think of I cannot achieve what I want to do if start with a video clip and then have another video clip appear (very small) in one area of the background video and then slowly grow larger to eventually cover the background video clip.
I can make the picture in picture appear and grow larger but it covers the entire background video clip with black effectively covering it no matter what size my picture in picture is. I looked for a chroma key to cover the black out but could not find it.
After reading this I can now make a bar on the bottom of the picture but since I'm a beginner I was wondering what would be ways of improving it />
Here's my simple creation. />
I need to make 20+ such bars with different pictures and my main concern is how to set that bar to be on the same level/height on each of the pictures, provided that pictures are of different sizes. />( The same with the flag location, to stay on the same place on all 20+ pictures, what should I do?
I have a picture that is a list of 7 things to rule your life by. However I want to make the bottom longer so that I can put an 8th rule at the bottom.
I have Corel 15. I want to take a picture and make it gradually go transparent from the middle of the picture to the top (using Photo Paint I guess), you know the thing with the checkerboard squares. Then I will put it in Draw and overlay some text across the top area where it has gradually gone transparent.
I do not want a sharp line between regular and transparent as if I cut a hole in the background and deleted the hole part. I want a gradual fade sort of transparency for the entire image. I have searched the internet for how to do this even using using Photoshop and there are not instructions available.
I'm trying to make a camera mapping in softimage from photoshop layers (matte painting). But I´ve a problem with the alpha channel. The layers shows a gray halo that surrounds them.
I have a multiple layer image with a background image on one layer. Is there an easy way to round the bottom corners of this one layer? BTW -I'm using CS6.
When photographing a tall object from the ground, for example the rectangle of a house wall, the picture perspective will be distorted in the sense that the bottom of the wall will be wider in the picture than the top of the wall.
Say, for example, that the bottom of the house wall in the picture is 1 inch wider than the top of the wall. Is it possible to increase the size of the picture gradually from the bottom to the top, from 0% of 1 inch at the bottom to 100% of 1inch at the top? So the end result in the picture will be an evenly sized wall from bottom to top?
Why is it when i drag one image from the bottom panel over to another picture(solid color) i will only get 50% of the image and not the full image. Same thing when i copy and paste that image over the gray solid colored image also i will get only 50% of the image. The original image of the cat(full view) is about 24.79% and picture is 11.733 x 15.644 in size. the other image (solid color) is at 43.63% or 6.667 x 8.889". size is in inches. Do i have to resize the images and if so how as i am a stupie in this matter. The images are aligned side by side on the main panel or display.I am trying to place the cat over the gray background image and with a layer mask delete the present baackground of the cat to uncover the gray of the bottom layer.
I created a photo at the bigging of the timeline to be scaled at 0,0. As it goes down I want it to 100%, and when it reaches the bottom of my stage area I to just have the photo just disapear.
When I tried this with scale x,y it slowing shrinks as it goes down. I don't want it to slowly shrink as it goes down. I just want it to just disapear when it reaches the botton.
What I want to do, is take the path tool, make a pattern around a picture (which is rectangle) placing it on a picture of a board like this...and then pull the picture horizontally, and vertically, to make it circular, to fit the perimeter of the board. If I understand it correctly, when you use the path tool...it allows you to make an image round (from rectangular) is that true?
I'm trying to make the blue bottom portion of this wall match the top off-white portion. I try to paint over the blue with the color replacement tool, having set my brush to match the top wall, but when it overpaints the blue, I'm getting a much darker gray that doesn't match.
I am pretty new to Photoshop and I have come across a few things that I would love to do but I cant figure out how to do them. Also, I have elements so I'm not even sure if I can do them. Anyway one of the things I am trying to learn is how to put lines over an image. For example the very first picture on this site: ...
How does this person make picture 2, I want to know how he has edited it? I have spoken to my photographer and he thinks he has used a photoshop tool.
Please I really want to know, I can take the base picture easy but need to get the picture 2 "finish"
I have included 2 pictures, My picture is number 1 and picture 2 below is the one I am trying to look like, can you try and edit my picture 1 image to see if you can match picture 2?
I have a series of sheets, each with two viewports to show two plan views of a long road alignment. I arranged them to read bottom to top, as it goes up stationing, as we do with cross section sheets, but have been told by an outside reviewer that the sheets are confusing and should read top down.
I have a older graphics program called Picture Publisher. I used this for years until I eventually moved over to PS. The grow / shrink mask tool in PP is easy to use but I cannot figure out how to do this in PS. Take the letter B in the upper left corner. I can use the mask tool on the B and shrink it, leaving me with the outline of the B. I can shrink or grow the mask by indicating how many pixols to shrink or grow. For the life of me I can't seem to do this in PS. Presently I do it in PP then open the graphic in PS wher I can then use it. Is there a way to accomplish this in PS?
After GROWing a letter in a word by one or more pixels, I tried to STROKE the action and it didn't seem to work properly. I would like the letter to be totally filled with its solid color... but instead, it just seemed to outline the letter, leaving white space between the new GROW line and the actual letter.
how to end up with a "fatter" letter that's completely filled?
I'm trying to make a piping run that at one point branches off in another direction. Basically I want to have one straight pipe, a main line, where another pipe branches off and sticks out vertically from it and goes its own way. However, I want this branching pipe to be welded to the main line, not connected with a tee fitting. Inventor won't let me create branches from within a route, and it doesn't seem to want to let me snap to the existing main line run if I create a new run for the branching pipe.
I'm having a few issues with my CS5 Photoshop - for some reason the other day, out of the blue, my Shift-F5 'Fill' shortcut started activating the 'Grow' command instead. I'd not altered any Photoshop settings recently (only loaded new actions a few days previously), so not sure why it happened.
I've tried resetting the shortcuts through Keyboard Shortcuts in the edit menu, but 'Fill' IS set to Shift-F5, with 'Grow' blank (no shortcut assisgned?).... and 'Fill' in the menu states Shift-F5 as the shortcut.
I've tried fixing Mac permissions, I've deleted the Ps 'Keyboard Shortcuts' file, I've deleted the Ps prefs file from Home > Library > Prefs. Weirdly, I expected a pref file to be in HD > Library > Prefs, but no Ps file there...? (but ID, AI etc all there?!). There is a "com.adobe.CSXS2Preferences" file - what does that relate to, as it doesn't look familiar?
I'm running it on a 3.2ghz Intel Core i3 iMac with 4gb RAM
