May 19, 2013I have Corel 15. I want to take a picture and make it gradually go transparent from the middle of the picture to the top (using Photo Paint I guess), you know the thing with the checkerboard squares. Then I will put it in Draw and overlay some text across the top area where it has gradually gone transparent.
I do not want a sharp line between regular and transparent as if I cut a hole in the background and deleted the hole part. I want a gradual fade sort of transparency for the entire image. I have searched the internet for how to do this even using using Photoshop and there are not instructions available.

Jun 2, 2013When photographing a tall object from the ground, for example the rectangle of a house wall, the picture perspective will be distorted in the sense that the bottom of the wall will be wider in the picture than the top of the wall.
Say, for example, that the bottom of the house wall in the picture is 1 inch wider than the top of the wall. Is it possible to increase the size of the picture gradually from the bottom to the top, from 0% of 1 inch at the bottom to 100% of 1inch at the top? So the end result in the picture will be an evenly sized wall from bottom to top?

The object of the picture is on the right and that is where I would like to keep it. What I would like to do is extend the width, to the left, to 960 and fill in that new space with the background color in the picture. Then add the title of my website on the left. The original image of the cat(full view) is about 24.79% and picture is 11.733 x 15.644 in size. the other image (solid color) is at 43.63% or 6.667 x 8.889". size is in inches. The images are aligned side by side on the main panel or display.I am trying to place the cat over the gray background image and with a layer mask delete the present baackground of the cat to uncover the gray of the bottom layer.

Oct 28, 2013I created a photo at the bigging of the timeline to be scaled at 0,0. As it goes down I want it to 100%, and when it reaches the bottom of my stage area I to just have the photo just disapear.

Example would be a rotor of a plane spinning when the plane flies by, or a parameter of a material looping within lets say 15 frames (e.g. UV offset changing in cycles) while the whole walk cycle is 60 frames long. If it is a simple property that has to be changed I could simply key in a multiplied value (in the previous example I could offset the UV by 4.0 so it would loop 4 times) but this wont be a solution for more complex stuff.

Jul 13, 2013I have a photo of two guys as the background, and two more layers on top to put a ZZ Top beard on each of them. I cut out the beard from a Billy Gibbons photo, and trimmed it up as good as I can. In the Billy picture he is wearing a black shirt, so behind the reddish beard are traces of black.
The issue:The first guy in the background is also wearing a black shirt, so the beard blends perfectly on him. However, the second guy is wearing a turquoise shirt, and as a result, the beard does not blend well whatsoever, and the edges are terrible. I need a method to color change (or whatever) so that the black traces on the beard become turquoise traces, and thus blend with his shirt.
I don't want to solve this with some kind of feathering or blur, because I want the edges of the red beard to be sharp, like they look on the first guy. I think I need to solve this with a color changing technique, but now sure how to do it in Paint.net.
Although I'm relatively new with Paint.net, years ago I became quite proficient with PaintShop Pro doing web applications. As I recall, there was a function of the color changer there, which would not only change from Color 1 to Color 2, but would preserve the differences in the color shades. So far example, if you set the color changer to change a blue shade to a red shade, and set the tolerance up some, not only would it include several blue shades from the source, but it produce various shades of red in the destination. So the result was not just a solid spot of red, but rather a nicely shaded red,
I have looked at the Paint.net color changer, and although I see how the tolerance level can dictate various shades of input to include, it seems to map all of those included pixels to just plain red, one exact color. I'm thinking surely it will do what I want, but for the life of me, I can't find it in the tool or in my searches.

When i try changing the color fron a "TAN" color to a "DARK RED" , then Zoom out, the lines are VERY CHOPPY and "SQUARED".
QUESTION:
Is there a way to create a PERFECT LINES on a circle, by using a specific tool, or i have to do a lot guessing and do "FILL-IN" colors to get the line more definitive?

Oct 3, 2013I'm creating a large poster. it consists of about 20 layers. Not doing anything fancy, just adding a new photo to each layer or some text. I want the bottom layer (background) to be 30% opaque. I know how to choose the layer and move the slider. My poster looks great as a .pdn file. However when I do a Save As .TIF, .PNG it reverts back to a solid photo of a soccer field instead of being more translucent.
Does this have something to do with blending mode?

Sep 4, 2011Sometimes I'm getting photoshop files with hundreds of layers.
I'm really happy that I'm able to open them in Paint.NET.
But because of the amount of layers it is sometimes difficult to figure out which detail is on which layer.
And to switch off layers up to the point that only the layer in question is left is little bit painful.
Proposal:
Add an additional button at the bottom of the layers window.
If the button is selected then only the active layer is visible in the main window and not a merge of the visible layers.
You may then activate one layer after the other to check the content.
Maybe if the button is selected then this could overwrite the visiblity attribute of the layer temporary.
