Revit :: Visualize Fabric Sheet In Section?
Feb 3, 2013I am unable to visulize the projection line of fabric sheet in section view. However, the cut lines are visiual. how I can make them visiable?

Revit :: Label (detail / Sheet Number) To Rotate With Section Tag Rather Than Remaining Horizontal
May 5, 2010Is there a way for a label (detail number/sheet number) to rotate with a section tag rather than remaining horizontal?
Is there a way for the same label to flip along the main horizontal reference plane of a section tag?
We do not use the traditional circle head and when the head needs to rotate or flip the 'pointer' lands on top of the label.
I think I have exhausted all combinations of checked/unchecked boxes for 'Keep readable' and such.

Jun 23, 2013I am generating a drawing file in inventor.its having lot of sections and projected views. Its not able to accommodate all the views in one sheet. So my plan is to move the section views to second sheet or third sheet but section cutting line has to be in first sheet plan view.
I have seen drawing generated in inventor in same way but don't know how to do it.......

Nov 30, 2012I have a dog bone shaped sheet metal part and each end is folded up 45 degrees to create Z shaped part, the origonal shape was done in a different program and imported as a dxf, it is curvy and no straight sides, the folds were done as fold from a sketch line.
I now want to take a section out of the middle bit, i can cut a bit out but how do i rejoin them?I was hoping to move bodies but i can't select a sing bit it only selects the hole thing even though it is in two bits?

Aug 29, 2012I am in the process of creating the cross section sheets and including them to an existing sheet set manager. When I try to create them I get an error saying "Sheet Set not created" which is odd because I selected add to existing ssm. If I save and exit out of the drawing and then get back into it, the sheets are created correctly in my layout tabs, but aren't added to my ssm.

Dec 20, 2013I am having some trouble creating a flange from the bottom cut section of the sheet metal in the attached file. The flange should be flushed with the bottom surface but should be vertical. Everytime I try to do it, it gives me an error message "Not a valid sheet metal edge: adjacent face thickness may be different from sheet metal settings". The whole body is made out of 0.25" plate and the width of the cut section is also 0.25" when I inspect it.

Jun 15, 2013Running LR5 on Win7, I can't see "Visualize Spots." I select the Spot Removal tool, but the Visualize Spots option does not appear below the preview. I can turn it on with the "A" keyboard shortcut, and the display does change to show the tool in action, but I still don't see the tool displayed below the preview (therefore, I can't adjust the strength). I do have the "Tool Overlay" option selected to show, and I don't see any other view setting or preference option that appears to affect it.

Aug 2, 2012I've got a model and i created a new level as normal, propogated extents etc but when i created as section North to South (Vertical) in the model the level does not show. When i create a section from East to west (horizontal) then the level appears fine. I've tried creating many sections and this is always the case. If i select a level in the section and click on select all instances in entire project the number includes the additional level but i can't see it. It is not hidden in the view, not on a different workset or anything unusual...

I've tried going through Properties> Edit Type to change the size, and type of the tag (or the section head), but i notice there are only seven options, and no way to change the size of them. Is there a Family Type I can edit? Where would I find it? Is there a way to create my own, perhaps, and upload it into my model template?

Apr 20, 2012I have sections cut from floor plan that show up on my exterior elevations. I am able to stretch the tag ends using the blue dots. I also have placed section marks on the elevations that reference other section views. With those tags I am unable to stretch them up and down on the elevation views. When I try, they disappear. I am not stretching them outside of the annotation crop.

Jan 17, 2013I created a kitchen counter in Revit 2011 however, when I try to create a section it does not show what a section should show such as the shelves that are inside the cabinet. It just basically shows what an elevation would show. I checked all my settings and everything is good. What could be the problem? I created another family as well and when I do a section it shows what should be seen in a section. The same thing happens when I put the counter into a project. The section does not show correctly as well as the wireframe visual style does not show in plan view. It show as if it were in hidden line.
