I have created a live section in a view drawing, but when I drag the view drawing onto a sheet file, it does not display. Reading up on this from Autodesk, it states that I must apply a display configuration override on the sheet, to that xref, to show the live section URL.....However, I right click on the xref as asked, but it does not give me the option to do this...
View 6 RepliesI've created a Live Section Cut. I want to change the hatching in the wall sections. I looked at the Display Property of the Wall Style, but the Model Display is bold, not the Section Display. The Section display has options for Hatching, etc., but the Model Display does not...Do I need to edit the Material assigned to that wall?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo, I we were taught autocad at hour school but not autocad architecture because apparently autocad architecture is too "advanced" for us. so now I need to draw window details (thermally broken aluminum frame window with insulating glass unit) but it is so much work in autocad however I was told that I can just draw a window in autocad architecture and just cut a section and just make a few adjustments to get the window detail.

I am generating a drawing file in inventor.its having lot of sections and projected views. Its not able to accommodate all the views in one sheet. So my plan is to move the section views to second sheet or third sheet but section cutting line has to be in first sheet plan view.
I have seen drawing generated in inventor in same way but don't know how to do it.......

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have created section views of my allignment and corridor in my drawing the problem I have is. In some of the section views there is different parts of the different assemblies not showing up. For example in one section I have my lane then my curb then no sidewalk then blvd. It is not the same in each section view either some are missing one thing while others are missing others.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having an issue with my section views. Some of my subassemblies are only showing on certain stations. If I view the stations on the cross section editor, the corridor looks just fine, but when I go to the section sheet where the corridor is x-referenced, the driveway disappears.
I have rebuilt the corridor numerous times, detached and reattached the drawing, made a new drawing and recreated the sample lines to no avail. Attached are some pictures to show the disappearing driveway on the right side of the street.
The FG was created from the corridor.
The cross sections show the EG, FG and Corridor. Yet the Corridor is NOT ON the FG surface.
This is only happening on one section (0+20). The other sections look good.
I have a dog bone shaped sheet metal part and each end is folded up 45 degrees to create Z shaped part, the origonal shape was done in a different program and imported as a dxf, it is curvy and no straight sides, the folds were done as fold from a sketch line.
I now want to take a section out of the middle bit, i can cut a bit out but how do i rejoin them?I was hoping to move bodies but i can't select a sing bit it only selects the hole thing even though it is in two bits?
I am in the process of creating the cross section sheets and including them to an existing sheet set manager. When I try to create them I get an error saying "Sheet Set not created" which is odd because I selected add to existing ssm. If I save and exit out of the drawing and then get back into it, the sheets are created correctly in my layout tabs, but aren't added to my ssm.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having some trouble creating a flange from the bottom cut section of the sheet metal in the attached file. The flange should be flushed with the bottom surface but should be vertical. Everytime I try to do it, it gives me an error message "Not a valid sheet metal edge: adjacent face thickness may be different from sheet metal settings". The whole body is made out of 0.25" plate and the width of the cut section is also 0.25" when I inspect it.

How would i edit the vertical code below to show the vertical scale 10 times smaller?

When publishing a sheet set some of my annotation labels are not showing up. If I open the sheet, they are there, set to print and everything is correct. If I print just that sheet, everything is fine. Only happens in publish. It's almost like the publish command isn't giving the drawing enough time to open and load everything before printing.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm working with Architecture 2011 and when I draw a 2D section, the defining line is missing for the structural members cut by the section. The hatching displays fine but the line around the material isn't there.
Under the material definitions I've got the 2d section / elevation linework turned on and under the elevation style I've got the defining line turned on and set to by material.
The defining line will come on if I turn on the inner and outer shrinkwrap but then it's color is defined either by layer or by color in which case it's all the same color and i have to manually edit the linework to change the color.
Looking for options to set resolution in a 2D Section created with "BldgSectionLineGenerate".
I have not had curved objects appeer faceted in these sections before.
Can I use AEC Dimension in a Section/Elevation View in ACA? So, when an Wall height changes, the AEC will change too after refresh the section/elevation.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a model and i created a new level as normal, propogated extents etc but when i created as section North to South (Vertical) in the model the level does not show. When i create a section from East to west (horizontal) then the level appears fine. I've tried creating many sections and this is always the case. If i select a level in the section and click on select all instances in entire project the number includes the additional level but i can't see it. It is not hidden in the view, not on a different workset or anything unusual...

How can i get ADT 2012 to cut the section i need?
We have an interior space built out for a commercial project incorporating curved walls in 3D. We need to generate a 2D drawing to be turned over to the on-site architect. Generating a 2D section yeilds a faceted wall. AECFACETDEV has no effect on the curve quality. Is there a control for Horizontal section? Walls do not show up using flatshot so that is not an option.
