AutoCAD Architecture :: Sheet Name Field Can Be Broken Into 2 Or 3 Lines?
Aug 24, 2011I have a question about sheet name field, can it be broken into 2 or 3 lines?
Our office has huge text size for drawing name, which can not be changed to a smaller one (you know the politic craps about standards).
So I wonder if there is a way to break the Sheetname field to 2,3 or 4 lines to accommodate this. So far the field is set to have one single line at best. It was good for "floor plan" but not good for "floor plan and etc, etc...."

AutoCad :: Setup First Sheet Then Publish Command?
May 15, 2012Trying to print multiple drawings. I setup up the first sheet then publish command. I select all the drawings and change the page setup and they all change to the first sheet. Then I press publish and only the first sheet goes. I went through a tutorial on You Tube and did everything but result is the same, only the first sheet.

Mar 29, 2012I am attempting to plot drawings to PDF's using publish. My problem is that when I have my sheet files loaded in the publish window, only some of them have the desired plot styles, I can't understand why this is.
I will go into a little more detail, when you select the page setup drop down menu and you are able choose the plot style you desire, various drawings don't have all of the options.
I am fully aware that you can just move a drawing that has the plot style to the top, select all of the drawings at once and you change them all but this is only a temporary solution.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Can't Publish Single-sheet Files In PDF
Mar 1, 2012I installed AutoCad 2011 on a new computer Win7 Prof Off OS. I'm trying to make single pdfs for each dwg that I have. No matter what I select it keeps making one multi page file of all my dwg sheets.
I've tried going under Publish Options > General DWF/PDF and I've tried both Multi-sheet file and Single-sheet file getting the same results. I have the same problem whether I use Dwg to Pdf.pc3 or my Adobe.pc3 driver.

Oct 8, 2012One workstation out of 50+/- when we publish, does not show the drawing prefix on the sheets in the "Sheet Name" list. The attached file shows a good list but that one computer is missing the prefix and if we're attempting to publish several drawings in model space, they would all have the same name so AutoCAD will not allow it because they would all have the same name . How do i get this drawing name prefix back?

Feb 7, 2013I am having trouble using the publish command when I set the plotter to a 22x34 sheet. We are able to print to an actual plotter just fine at that size, but when we try and make a pdf set at that size, it just errors out.
The error I get is

AutoCad :: Sheet Set Publish Alters Attribute That Is NOT A Field (makes SSM Useless)
Aug 11, 2013I am using the Sheet Set manager to just publish my drawings to the named plotter (Adobe PDF). I an NOT using any fields. I do not have any sheet numbers assigned in the sheet set. Each drawing is a separate file with only one layout tab in each file. On each drawing, the sheet title and drawing number are within an attributed block, with the drawing number in an attribute with a tag of SHEETNO. Everything is in RomanS. Single sheets plot fine. This is the only sheet set.
The problem is that the sheet number are altered when I use Sheet Set Publish to make a multi-sheet PDF. The manually inserted plain-text sheet numbers are all in the format X#.# (A1.1, A2.3, etc.). Two things happen:
1. The number after the period is printed in a different font on all sheets (NOT RomanS - the ends of the stroke are square) .
2. Over half the numbers are changed (the first sheet, the cover, is blank and not changed):
T1.1 -> T1.- (the dash character)
A1.1 -> A1.1 (OK number)
A2.1 -> A2.1 (OK number)
A2.2 -> A2. 1 (note the extra space)
A2.3 -> A2.2
A3.1 -> A3.3
A4.1 -> A4.1 (OK number)
A4.3 -> A4. 2 (note the extra space)
A8.1 -> A8.3
A9.1 -> A9.1 (OK number)
AutoCAD 2009 on Window 7. No other similar problems.
As it is, Sheet Set Publish is useless. (I know, get an updated version of AutoCAD - it's in the works).

Dec 28, 2011At our plant we try to place all the parts for an assembly on one drawing. i am now working on an assembly with most of the components being fabricated in the shop and using fractional dimensions. However there are a couple of parts that will be machined and should be dimensioned with decimals. When I select a dimension and attempt to alter it it changes the dimension style of the entire drawing. Is there a method of changing only the desired dimensions and not all of them? I could use dual dimensioning and maybe hide the undesired set but I don't know if that would work either.

Apr 16, 2012I have a dwg file with three sheets in, just default names, I can access sheets 2 and 3 but get the attached errors when trying to access sheet 1 form either sheet 2 or 3
This file was originally created in IV2009 I've had no problems then or with the various conversions of it.
It seems to be memory related so here's the sitrep as for memory 8GB DDR2 RAM, and Virtual Memory set at min of 8192MB and a Max of 16384MB, I did have it set a systems managed but that gave a warning of low virtual memory with almost every drawing file that I opened.

I suspect that the sheet number is being brought in as text instead of a number. I tried adding atoi to the equation to convert the sheet number to an integer, but it did not work.Is there an alternate source for the sheet number that will return a number? Is my syntax wrong?

Feb 10, 2013I'm fairly new to Autocad and getting used to using sheet set manager. What I'm experiencing is, when you insert a model view it brings in an xref of that model, but i'm then unsure how to add additional xref models into the same view.
For example I have a separate ground floor plan file and OS data file which I want to show in the one sheet view without nesting the OS data to the original ground floor file.
