Feb 12, 2014I'm trying to import/ open IFC files to Revit, I have 6 diffrent IFC files but when I try to open/import in revit, nothing happens, not even an error message.

Sep 9, 2013I am no longer able to import any type of file into Revit. It doesn't matter if it is a CAD file, Image file, or a new Family. When I click the import or load button the program appears to freeze and no dialog box appears. I can hit escape and its back to normal. I tried seeing if the dialog box was hidden behind all my open programs but I can't seem to locate it anywhere.

Nov 12, 2013I have installed the trial version of Elements 12 as we are looking at purchase for a client who needs a simple and inexpensive program to look at EPS files and save them as JPGs. Elements 12 says that an EPS file can be 'imported' as a supported file type, however when I click on File -> Import, it comes up with WIA Support, then when I click on that and select the EPS file, it says "No WIA compatible devices were detected. Check that your device is plugged in to the computer and the power is turned on".
I have seen an article on how to import into Elements 11, but the options are not available in 12 (probably due to the fact that 12 is supposed to natively import the format). As I understand the trial is a fully-functioning package with no options turned off until purchase.

Feb 17, 2014Using Revit 2014 LT. Trying to open a file created by another user/seat of Revit 2014 LT (trial version for now).
Error Message reads "The file is open for editing by another user. If you open the file, you cannot save changes until the user closes is. In this case, your changes will overwrite the user's changes. What do you want to do?"
The file is NOT open by another user though.
I realize LT does not allow worksharing, but I assumed that was multiple users working on the same file at the same time. We need to open files one at a time, but by different users.

Feb 2, 2012We are working in revit server with two clients . recently we installed one more Lacal server and i checked the speed and all but whenever i try to open heavy file ( 300 Mb file ) from revit server it giving error after some time that server not responding and not open the file . but i checked 15 to 30 mb file it working in same server . Is their any size limitation in revit server . My internet speed is ok that time . So i think its related to revit server

Dec 9, 2013I have created a model within revit architecture 2013 which I want to export as a gbxmL and open in the open studio 1.1.0 interface within sketchup. When I export the gbxmL model into sketchup it does not have a floor, and an error saying surface has two adjacent spaces which are the same space (warning repeated for each room), room will not be translated, and also surface has no adjacent spaces, will not be translated appears.
All spaces are bound to the floor and roof, and zones are correctly assigned, and the model has a location. There are no errors when the export to gbxml is to take place for analytical surfaces or for the rooms. What might be wrong in the way I have assigned rooms/spaces?

Feb 22, 2014I am unable to import NEF files into the new Lightroom 5.3, I recieve the following error message: "The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom. (251)" and then each .NEF file is listed separately. I am using the latest and most updated Lightroom software and a Nikon 3300. I get this message if I try to import directly from the SD card or if I try to import from the desktop (after copying the SD card contents onto my desktop). I also am unable to import directly from the camera. I'm using a promaster performance 32GG SD card that I formated in the Nikon 3300 before I started shooting. I took three pictures that were just JPGs on the card and these improt okay using any mechanism. All the other photos were taking RAW+JPG.

Apr 7, 2013I am using a MacBook Pro and Lightroom 4.4.
When importing I use the "Copy as DNG" feature and that works just fine for the RAW impages.
I then switch to the "Copy" feature to copy some JPG imsages taken with another camera and they are not copied. The information in the window is "Cound not copy a file to the requested location" and lists all files I tried to import. If I copy the files manually into the folders/locations that Lightroom should have done, the "Add" fearire works just fine.
I am just puzzled as to why Lightroom cannot copy the files to the folders that are there and add the image to the catalog on its own. Converting RAW to DNG works fine so what needs to be done to allow Copy to do the same thing.

I have made a 2 floor building in ACAD ARCH 13 and when I import the DWG files into Revit, they just show the 2D line drawings even when I look in 3D mode. Do I have to re make all of the walls and such in Revit or am I missing a step to import all of the windows, doors, and wall heights?

First it imported 2 files, then 9, then 11, before it stalls. No error message or pinwheel icon. I tried re-installing 4.4 twice with no change. My laptop, a Macbook Pro same system, running LR 4.3 can successfully import the same files using the same card reader and cable.
