3ds Max Animation :: How To Assemble Outdoor Fireplace System
Jun 25, 2013I am making an animation of how to assemble an outdoor fireplace system.

I have a mortar bag modeled that will be used to apply mortar to all the areas where different components are joined to each other.
Â
I have figured out how to use a cylinder and pather deform to make the mortar come out of the bag.
Â
After the first section of mortar is applied, how do I move the the mortar bag by iteself to the next area tha needs mortar?

There is an "attachment" position controller applied to the mortar bag which tied to the leading edge of my mortar bead.
Â
I'm not sure how to disassociate the mortar bag with each line of mortar that gets put down and then let the mortar bag move around the scene to the next area.

Nov 22, 2005I would like to display an image behind an image in the area that I selected only. Does that make sense? Let's say I have a picture where the sky looks white and I want to add blue sky with clouds from another image exactly where the sky should be. Is that easy to accomplish?

Sep 6, 2013I have a photograph of a steam train, which i am editing for my grandfather, and i wanted to add a few smaller pictures in the 'steam' from the train? Ideally i was hoping to put 3 or 4 pictures in 'clouds of steam' if that would work?
I have uploaded a pic of a similar train picture, and may even use the steam from it, as it is fuller than the one i will be using.

Nov 23, 2011How to make it blend in so you can't even tell it was Photoshopped into the picture. I use the magnetic lasso but there are always areas where it isn't smooth or part of the background is showing. Especially the hair.
On top of that it will be better or worse quality than the picture I'm adding it to. Or it will be darker or lighter, etc etc.

Nov 13, 2007Have an animated fire/smoke effect. But I need to have each frame as individual images. I'm inputting it into a game that compiles the images together into an animation in-game.
I have found lots of smoke and flame tutorials, but have not found any on how to make all the frames I would need for a smooth looping effect. If possible, I believe there are small little programs which can create animated fire/smoke for you, and then break it down by frame. But I have no clue what programs can do this. My main concern is to make sure the flames/smoke are as clean as possible in order to be able to make an alpha channel to provide me with transparencies around the effect.
So if anyone knows of a tutorial showing me how to create smoke divided by different frames (20+ or more so it is nice and smooth), please let me know. Of course, if you are willing to provide a quickie tutorial, then even better.
Or if someone has a name of a small program I can use that will create fire/smoke for me, then separate it by frame and save them,

The normal doors work, but I can not load in, any other door types from the "doors" family component library. It will only let me use the type that is already loaded in. It doesnt even give me an error dialogue, just the circle with the slash through it when i click on "Open" to load a door in.
