View 8 Replies View RelatedI am trying to add color to my content center parts. For example I want all M10 hex head bolts to be red and all M12 hex heads to be blue.Â
I have My library configured in content center and I take from the "Inventor ANSI" catalog the "Heavy Hex Bolt -Metric" and right click and copy to my library. I switch the sort back to merged view and right click on the "Heavy Hex Bolt - Metric" and select family table. I scroll to the end of the table and insert a new column and set the "Column Name" To "Color" and set the "Column Caption" to "Color" , "Map to Inventor Property:" is set to "Member.Color"
Now going back to the family table I have to enter simple color names like, Red, Green, or Black, I cannot enter names like Water Bubbles, Particle Board, or any of the Inventor Apperance names. If you do you will recive an error on placing the part stating " Unable to create componet"
Futhermore when you click on the Material Column you get a drop down of all the different materials.
Why do I not get a similiar drop down for the colors/apperances?
What is the list of working colors names?Â
I scanned and live traced a drawing of mine. I want to add color to make it a proper vector illustration for example:
But when I try and change the colour of the outline of say the skin, this changed the outline of everythign else (hair, clothes) because the lines are all joined. How do I only change the colour of the outlines surrounding certain areas?
I'm creating t-shirt pictures and have a problem: Spreadshirt says that my pictures have tiny objects in it, and that they have too many different colors. (I'm only allowed to have 3) I want to color all the transitions between the colors, but how do I select them without having to color one little spot at the time? Is it any way to just remove the transitions? And how do I remove the objects that are too small? Select same fill color doesn't work, or I'm doing it wrong. I also clicked expand to fix a text issue, don't know if that matters.
View 17 Replies View RelatedOn the main sheet of my drawing I have the overall Parts List. Shows almost all parts except for the few that we don't want to list. On the second sheet I inserted a Parts List to show only parts that are shown in a detail on that page, made the rest non-visible.
On the main sheet there is an item (#13) that has a QTY of 3. Two of those Three are optional parts. What I'm trying to do is insert a custom part into the Parts List, give it an item number of 13A and put in the description "OPTIONAL", then do an Override in the balloon to show 13A.
I get it in the Parts List, Apply it, close it, save the drawing. Looking at the Parts List, item #13A is there, but item #14 is gone. I go back into the Parts List and 13A is there and there's a blue box around the item # and the description. I uncheck Static Value and number 14 shows up (item # and the description).
Then I go over to sheet two, open that Parts List and it lists 13A at the bottom with all the info I added in sheet one and it's non-visible. Go back to sheet one, open the Parts List and there is no 13A to be found.
How do I take someone out of the picture and leave the background the same? and two how do I add some color to a black and white picture?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a clipart that a friend drew for me that is black and white. I scanned it, added to it and saved it as a .psd. I used a reduced size clipart to add some color. I than decided to add color to the full sized clipart using the bucket tool. The color picker will not allow me to choose any color other than blacks, grays, or white. It worked fine with the first clipart but nothing after. I tried in Elements 6 and just purchased Elements 12 hoping that would be the ticket.

Let's say I have a picture where the sky looks white and I want to add blue sky with clouds from another image exactly where the sky should be. Is that easy to accomplish?

View 2 Replies View Relatedhow I'm supposed to cut off parts of a picture. I know about cropping but that only seems to work only with perfect squares and rectangles. I'm trying to get a picture to look like the edges are actually torn missing (not black or white, but instead actually not on the picture).
I'm wanting all of the black that you see on the holes in the middle and on the edges to actually be cropped off or gone without cutting off anything else. So I don't want it to be a perfect square when it's done but instead have jagged ripped looking pieces on the edges with holes in the middle.
I have a picture and I wanted to follow the tutorial but my english isnt that great so I have somethimes problems during the activity.
I wanted to play with a picture doing makeover.
First I changed the eye color
''New Layer.
Use a hard brush that's the exact same size as the iris, and paint with the desired colour over top of the original iris. Set the blend mode to Hue/Softlight/Overlay. Your choice. The blend mode choice is affected by how light/dark your replacement colour is. Layer Opacity can also be lowered to make the effect more subtle. In my header image, i used 'Hue' blend mode.''
So I did.
Then I wanted to do this:
''Select the white of the eyeball; either using Quick Mask or the selection tools. Add a HUE&SAT Adjustment Layer right above the smoothed duplicate layer. Lower the Saturation and raise the Brightness until the white looks 'almost' white. Don't go too pure white, or it'll look real fake. Click the Layer Mask for the Adjustment layer, and apply the 'Blur More' filter 2x -- to soften the edges a bit, and blend this new white area into the outer edges of the eyeball.''
I did tried this but didnt worked.
When I color it White in the white section of the eye to make it more white, It colors .
But then I need to paly with the HUE/SAT option.
When I do that The PICTURE goes into Hue, not the WHITE PLACE.
I only want to HUE the White place that I marked, not the entire picture.
how to put a signature on a picture...to make it look like someone actually wrote onto it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a photograph of a steam train, which i am editing for my grandfather, and i wanted to add a few smaller pictures in the 'steam' from the train? Ideally i was hoping to put 3 or 4 pictures in 'clouds of steam' if that would work?
I have uploaded a pic of a similar train picture, and may even use the steam from it, as it is fuller than the one i will be using.
How to make it blend in so you can't even tell it was Photoshopped into the picture. I use the magnetic lasso but there are always areas where it isn't smooth or part of the background is showing. Especially the hair.
On top of that it will be better or worse quality than the picture I'm adding it to. Or it will be darker or lighter, etc etc.
i'm adding on to an existing project that i did not create....i either have to match this font or i have to re-create the entire project....

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've created an assembly from the solid bodies of a part. Is there a way to add more parts to that assembly from other solid bodies of the original part? If so what is the procedure?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to transform a 4-color picture into a 2-color one at reasonably good quality?
The problem I met is at the galley.I could, or migh, only be able to get a 2-color printer at reasonably good price.
The original design is 4-color. But the actual detail is not very important. They are book covers, which only need to protect the book.
I have a VB code that gets an instance of inventor. It creates a new assembly and then starts adding parts to it. The code works fine and is reliable but I am suprised by how slow the process is.. the process is as follows
'psuedo code...
do
myAssembly.ComponentDefinition.Occurrences.Add(my_component_file, my_position)Â 'add my next occurrence to the assembly
myOccurrence.Transformation = my_position ' move the occurrence to a new position in assembly space.
With myOccurrence.Definition 'go thru the occurrence and change its dimensions
ForEach p In.Parameters
If p.Name = my_parameter_name Then p.Value = my_parameter_value
Next
EndWith
loop until my_last_component
...I notice that the green progress bar is frequently on with messages in the Inventor statusbar such as "Executing update component" and "Executing change component position".
I wonder is Inventor performing many read/write operations which is causing the slow performance? Perhaps it is updating files after each of my 3 operations in the loop... and if so is there a way i can achieve this faster such as delaying read/write until after all three operations have been performed or until all occurrences have been added?
I have a color picture which I took, of a red berry bush. I want to remove all the color except for the red from the berries. I know how to lasso the berries, but I can't remove the color from the bush/background and leave the red berries.
Note: I did this once a couple years ago, and can't remember how I did it..I have some memories, but probably remember just enough to make me dangerous. I have done some searches but obviously the results are numeorus and I haven't found what I am looking for yet.
I know the solution involves selecting the berries and then inversing it and then setting all 3 colors to 0 for the background.
What I can do is
1) lasso the berries
2) inverse
what I can't figure out
1) it seems like there was 1 step about layering which enabled me to get started, but I don't remember this, it does seem like I am missing something very basic when I try to do this
3) Where is the color scale, the only thing I can find is the grayscale option which switches the entire project to black and white.
I have a color picture, and I want to convert it to B&W, and then I want to add another color to it (for example – red). I don’t want to paint some areas in it, I want for example to keep all the red parts of the picture, or only part of the red parts.
It something like in the movie Schindler's List, in the B&W scene where you see a little girl with red coat.
I want to remove the background stuff so i can use the picture of smoking guy in a signature.
