Premiere Pro :: Why Are Some Of The Transitions Missing Such As Slash Slide
Dec 3, 2012
Since I bought myself a license for Creative Cloud I am missing multiple video transitions like 'Slash Slide' for instance among with a lot of other transitions.
When I export a video, I export to DVD, BLURAY, MP4 for Vimeo, and 2 Master Archives at ProRes 422 and AVC-I 100 all at one time. So like 4 or 5 versions of the same video. Been doing this for years with no issues really. Most of the time the exports all appear to be fine. Now all of a sudden every once in a while one or two of the exports will have one or two transitions missing. Bizaar. And disturbing because some of the videos are over an hour and I can't afford to watch all of the various copies to see if some are missing transitions and some are not. The timeline has no issues. There are lots of cross dissolves and the exported videos look great. But a few times lately one or two of the videos will just be missing one of the cross dissolves right in the middle of the video. It'll cut to black and then fade up the 2nd clip instead of blending the two. The other 2 or 3 videos will look fine and have no issues.  Running 2011 iMac 3.4GHz i7 with 16GB RAM, 120GB SSD (OS and Program), Scratch files on a 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD, and exports going to an OWC External RAID0 HDD connected via Thunderbolt adapter. Footage is AVCHD 720p60 edited natively on a 24p timeline.  Doesn't happen everytime, but seems to be happening more often.
I'm using Premiere Pro CC (up to date) and I don't see a star shaped iris transition. The only shapes I have to select from are: Box, Cross, Diamond, and Round. Â I know that is pretty cheesy but it works for a specific promo that I have to update weekly. It seems like such a basic shape to not have in the stock Iris transitions.
After I flatten a multi-cam sequence, all the video transitions I added have disappeared.  I looked around, and found this item in the list of bug fixes in the July 2013 build-release: "Upon flattening a multicam sequence, transitions are applied on the wrong layers. Can lead to crash with error message […SrcSequenceActionSequenceAddTransitionAction.cpp-57".]"  This does not result in a crash. Obviously, I can put the transitions in again on the flattened sequence (which I have done - client's need the finished vid!).
Video Studios 12 Pro had 14 flashback transitions. When upgraded to VS X3 Pro and now to VS X4 Pro noticed that there is only 1 flashback transition. Is there some way to copy the transitions from VS 12 to VS X14 Pro ?
Have reinstalled Premiere Pro 6.0.5 because I cannot drag Audio Transitions or Effects to any Timeline sequences in my Projects. Have tried modifier keys, but to no avail.
We are working in Autocad lt 2012 and in one particular drawing we can't stop the slash (/) from turning into a fraction line . IE the date 08/02 becomes a fraction 8 over 2.
I have a timeline of about 40 minutes long with several audio tracks and sounds, some mp3 from you tube and some recorded on the shooting day. everything sound just fine in premiere, I even exported one part of the timeline as a seperate movie and it was o.k. the problem is when I've import the hole track some of the audio tracks were missing/silent. it happend in 2 different projects. Â I'm on windows 7 premiere cc update to latest version...
We're using Premiere Pro Cc to edit a TV series, we went to save the project file and the application crashed, when we went to look for the project file, it's not there and the latest autosave file is three days old even though we've watched PP doing autosaves every 15 minutes. This happened a few months back and we lost the work. The only thing that may be relevant is that we're using a solid state drive, but it's always been very stable.
On tryng to open Premiere CC projects it would appear I am missing a substantial set of sequence presets and cannot open any projects. if I open a new project there are only a limited set available. Â I get the following error message "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type".
i want to render my Premiere CC (v7.2.1) project to an .mp4 file. But some audio channels are not audible in the export. They are audible when I preview the timeline, but gone after export. Some audio channels are present, but others are not. Â This is a huge problem for me, since I need to finish this project. The problem appears to have started after I moved the project files over to other storage.
I need to make a type change to my project i edited 2 months ago and now Helvetica Neue LT is not installed on the system in premiere CC. It is subsituting courier...yuck! I reinstalled font (font name is green on my system) and says it is installed but does not appear in c/window/fonts folder. I restarted my pc after I reinstalled font. What is happening? I went on typekit since I am a cloud subscriber and it does not appear there. THis is their corporate font and it worked before.
I have PS CS3 Extended on Windows XP with 2 G RAM.
I want to make a DVD slide show for my sister's funeral. I have all the images scanned into PS, but cannot find a way to convert to a slide show and transfer to a DVD.
I have some transitions that I would like to add to my transitions list in VideoStudio. The transitions are in the Quicktime animation ".mov" format. Is there a way to add them in?
I'm trying to buy some software that you can build a photo slideshow on (that's the easy bit), but the one main feature I want is the ability to tick a box and the photos change in time with the beat of the music. Now before one of you clever people suggest that most softwear does this..... they don't. What most of them do is change the duration of your slideshow to match the length of your selected music, so they all end together. I want that, but also want the photos to move and change to the 'beat' of the track. I know that I could do this manually on a timeline, but this is very time consuming and hence the ticky box option,
You see, one of the slides needs to be a spiral type. It has to be 175 (units-in my case cm) tall and 60 (units) ride so the bigger kids can slide down no problem.
My problem is making the 2D (and thus 3D) image. I'm not to sure how to go about this. I've tried doing the HELIX command but it's seemingly impossible to match up the two spirals to create the constant width and even create the slide.
I am polymodeling and want to restrict a vertex to moving only along one of its corresponding edges. Seems like there was a drop down for this but I am totally missing it right now.
I want the Intro screen in a Slideshow to contain some background or introductory text. The Intro screen may be customized by editing the identity plate, but only to provide text on one line - not very useful. The Intro screen consists of the Identity Plate against the background created jointly with the Backdrop controls. Â So, I thought this would be easily solved by creating a 'photo' in PS, with the text I require on a transparent background. Then import as another slide. Easy Peasy. Â No, not quite, as Saving As... in PS as JPG does not work, TIF offers to save transparency but LR does not honour the promise. I tried GIF, but LR doesn't even 'see' GIFs. Â I am sure that Adobe, in the 4.1-th generation of LR, will not have made this impossible.... Â Platform>> Lightroom 4.1, Photoshop CS5 v12, Windows 7/64 Pro
I just downloaded the trial version of VideoStudio Pro X6 - in the transitions panel, there appears to be a total of three transitions. This seems to be really lacking, but I wonder if I am missing something?
