I recently had to upgrade from cs5 to cs5.5 and now all my old dv captures that were saved as mpeg from priemere cs5 wont load and says "file import failure' This happens with anything that I saved through cs5 as an mpeg such as all my finished and exported video files.
View 7 RepliesI get a black capture screen when capturing with CS6 on a Windows 7 machine. I'm capturing through Fire wire from DV tape, via the VCR function of a Canon XL2 camera. I have tried restarting, etc.; also toggled the "preview video" radio from the Settings button in the capture Window. Nothing works and I need to be able to preview my video as I'm capturing. It is not good enough that the video actually captures fine. Also, I am forced to turn off Device Control in order to capture because it kicks me out of every capture (an immediate message of : "no frames captured") unless I do.

The app pops up but then shuts down immediately. I've cleaned up the registry and cleaned up even more space hoping that would do something.
It worked perfectly during the 30 trail. Flawlessly so.
I noticed that after I downloaded After Effects it stopped booting up properly. Not saying that's an issue Im just giving a bit of a timeline.
My computer is a 64-bit OS Windows 7 Toshiba LX835.
Premiere was running fine for most of the weekend, then began to crash every time I tried to open the project. Other projects open briefly, followed by a crash within 5 minutes.

I just downloaded premiere elements 12, and tried to open new project, but nothing happened.. What i need to do? But i can open organizer without any problem!

When I open my project the media associated with the project shows that it is loading in the lower left hand corner of the program. It gets to about 123 files left to load and then it stops. I then have to attempt to locate all the rest of files with the Link Media tool this works for a few files and then it stops responding. What is the problem and how do I keep my project linked to its media assets?

Media is stored on a 8TB Raid 10 NAS connected with a Gigabit router. The NAS is on my desk connected directly to my computer through the router.
I have a sequence that has some video that I wanted to edit in After Effects. I right-clicked on the video in the sequence and selected "Replace with After Effects composition" and did my editing. It shows up in the sequence as Linked Comp 5 but Premiere will not or cannot load the media. Why is this and how can I fix it? I have already closed the program and rebooted to no effect.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using a Firewire and have a Sony Handycam. I find that although VSX4 captures okay - that when I stop the capture and go through to 'Edit", the project playback or clip playback won't play, and yet if I use the 'scrubber' with my mouse, it plays the entire captured part.
This is a little hard to explain: what happens is during 'video capture' - VSX4 begins to capture and then the preview screen freezes. The capturing however continues, even though the preview screen has frozen. After a couple of minutes I stop the capture and go through to 'edit' but I find when I press the button to play back (either as a 'project' or 'clip') it actually stops at the part where the preview screen had frozen whilst capturing. However, if I use my mouse on the 'scrubber' line, I can view the entire capture (e.g. the part after the preview screen froze).
I am not yet an owner for VideoStudio. This program is on my short list of software I wish to use for screen capture (creating a series of tutorials for an online classroom) and I have to be able to produce these items in a minimum of 720P 16x9 format (Ideally would like to grab at 1080P but 720 is my absolute minimum requirement). Can VideoStudio do this for me? Do I need a specific capture/video card to be able to acquire at a 720P resolution?
I have a background in broadcast television in my day job, (I edit on Quantel and Apple FCP) and what I like about this software is that it's an "all in one" solution.

I've been a PSP user since PSP 7.
I've got a question about x4. When I do multiple screen captures and then I click on the minimized x4 icon, it doesn't just open back to the workspace like it used to in psp 7. It always opens this pop up of all the captured files I took and I have to select one in order to re-open the minimized x4. It's so irritating because I go back n forth a lot taking screen caps but it always has to force me to choose a file.
If there is a setting to skip it and just re-open x4 to workspace when I click on the minimized icon after taking multiple screen caps?
I was wondering why screen captures in Windows look so bad when resized smaller in PS (or other image apps). I'm trying to create a user guide and the images are fine when pasted into PS but look blurred when I use the transform tool to reduce their size (or resize image). I thought images got more defined when smaller?!
Side question: why does the arial font in Windows apps like outlook, office etc not look the same when typed in PS?
i´m having a problem opening a premiere pro cs6 project from another computer. My partner can open the project in her computer, but when she sends me the project by mail and i try to open it in my computer i I get t the mesasage " Cannot load project". I´ve tried importing the project into another project but it doesn´t work.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a project that suddenly won't load. I have 25 versions of it, I save it under a new file name each time in case I need to go back to an older version.
Trouble is most of the versions won't load! Only the very early versions will load. Some of the later version start to load then disappear.
Hardware hasn't changed on the PC, maybe the video drivers have been updated, thats about it.
Can I use "edit in" in Lightroom to move video clips to premier or premier elements to edit them?

Unable to click "no". Click "yes" the dialogue box disappears. When trying to open program afterwards, the same box appears.

I have a second computer that photoshop just won't load on. This has been with both photoshop 7 and CS. I click on the icon on my desktop, it starts to load, then during the process it just locks up and never opens up. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both version several times and nothing helps. Any ideas other than reinstalling my computer and starting from scratch?
PS refuses to load. Instead it immediately uses 95+% of my CPU & displays a message along the lines of ?Cannot import clipboard due to insufficient memory (RAM)?
View 9 Replies View Relatedphotoshop goes through it's startup loading brushes, fonts, etc, and then it all disappears like i never even tried to open it. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling (which won't get past 99% on the "preparing installshield wizard"), I've tried system restore (b/cafter uninstalling it wont reinstall, so restore is the only way to get it back). I got a feeling something's screwed up in my registry, but i'm not techy enough to figure it out.

I can batch process 300 files in Photoshop 6 with windows XP. I cannot do the same files on my laptop with CS5. (error message too many files open at once). I installed both my original version of Photoshop 3 and my full version of Photoshop cs5 but the upgrade of Photoshop 6 will not recognize either one.
