I used Paint Shop and it had a "view image" button which just displayed the image against a solid black background, making it easy to get a good view of composition, colours, etc without distractin program UIs in the way.
I just downloaded PS Elements 12 (using the 30 trail version prior to purchase) and am unable to find the Proof Setup option in the VIew menu to soft proof my images prior to enlargement.Â
I use PS CS6 for Windows. When I select a layer by mean of Ctrl-Click on layers palette, selection edges is not shown. When I go to menu View > Show > Selection Edges i realize that option is disabled.
I'm working in a project that has 4 different options setup. I would like to be able to view each option with all walls in black. Currently I see some walls grayed out ( the primary walls) and some in black ?
I would like to be able to view my Library items in a list, rather than icons. I would like to be able to sort my Library items by name, or date taken. This would come in handy in many ways. For instance, if I have previously named my images properly (perhaps with a date format like IMG_2012_06_10), then I would be able to easily import series based on dates or names of files. If the library is smart enough, it might even be able to read the "date taken" property, then I could sort by that and insert into my timeline accordingly. Also, it would be nice to separate the samples that come with VS from my actual content. Perhaps these things are already possible, I don't know. I can't seem to figure it out, so maybe the GUI should offer more friendliness to laying out my libraries?
If there is already a list-view option with the sort feature in X5.
I am using LR 4.2 (on Mac) and have been using LR since 2.0. Yesterday all the badges on all my photos disappeared in Grid View. I didn't change any prefernce settings, or update that I am aware of. When I go to View > Grid View Styles> Show Badges, that option is checked, however it is grayed out. On the Mac that usually indicates it is not a viable option. Â I've restarted the program but the problem remains. how to bring back badges?
I cannot find any information anywhere on whether there exists an option to save different defaults to the Place Views>Base Drawing View>Display Options tab? The parts I model always need "tangent edges" shown to look correctly on my drawings, and for 5 years I've had to manually select it every time I do a drawing. It just seems that there has GOT to be a way to get rid of this tedious step? And if there is not, can you plainly include this in the documentation so I can stop looking for such a feature?
I am trying to show cut and fill hatching in the profile views but the hatching doesn't show up. I've tried changing the hatching styles, the scale, the colors, etc. but it doesn't seem to be working.
I was curious if there was an option to set up what linked view would be set when creating and duplicating views. Its a little time staking when you have 6-7 linked files and need to make 20-30 elevations/sections. I was thinking there would be a way to setup the views so they're ready to go when you create them.
I'm attempting to delete a design option that we created in order to alleviate model creation conflicts. Â We were testing whether it was to be a sub-category design option or a main heading, so I just modeled a couple things (in a floor plan that was created months ago in another design option) to try and get them to show up. Â When I realized that sub-category was not the way to go, I tried to delete that design option and it removed the floor plan I was using.
I examined the "Visible in Option" line and it has the name of an option that I'm not deleting, so....? Â Now what? Â I just want to clean up my model and remove that test design option.
In solidworks there's a "hidden line" option that displays a 3d part with all its sketch lines (instead of a regular solid) which allows the user to view all the different sides of the part easily. So I was wondering if there's such an option in autodesk inventor 2013. Currently, to view all the different sides and aspects of a part easily, i have been changing the part's material to polycarbone or some other plastic material; this makes the part a little translucent. But this is less effective than the hidden line vew availble in solidworks. method  that makes different parts of a 3d part more easily to be viewed?Â
When I double click on a base view - the option to change view orientation is greyed out. So at the moment, if I make a boo-boo with my base view - I have to delete it and create a new one to get the right orientation. Is this a setting I've missed somewhere - or is it normal behaviour?
When I read in this file: [URL]
It states:
Tip To reset orientation of a drawing view, change the view orientation or rotate the view.
Is there an option in drawing mode to exclude certain parts from a section view.
According to ASME Y14.3 parts such as shafts, keys bolts and nuts should be excluded in sectional view. Its not just removing the Hatching, the part has to show completely.
The closest I found in Inventor is that you can exclude Standard parts from being sectioned. Some of my parts are not in the standard library.
I would like to have the option to choose which parts I want to section and which ones I don't.
I create a drawing of an iPart, while doing so I have the iPart model open in the background. When placing a view on the drawing the active factory member is the default option, I have a bad memory so forget to tell Inventor that actually I would like to use a specific iPart member in this particular drawing view. I then spend a long time laying out and dimensioning the drawing. When complete, I create a second sheet and copy all information from sheet 1 onto sheet 2. I then double click on the main drawing view and change the model state to an alternative factory member. At this point I realise that the drawing on sheet one is based on the active factory member and start swearing.
The result of changing to a different member when the existing drawing is based on the active member is that ALL DIMENSIONS DISSAPEAR FROM THE DRAWING AND HAVE TO BE PAINSTAKINGLY REPLACED. At this point I will usually REDRAW SHEET 1 so that further sheets can be created quickly in the future by selecting an alternative factory member.
can I change the software defaults somewhere in the setup to prevent the 'active factory member' being displayed as an option in the first place?
A few months ago, I installed a trial for Photoshop 5 to create a few gifs. About a month after the trial ended, I acquired the full version of Photoshop 6 to make some more gifs. However, the option to load as an image sequence is not present as it was before:As I recall, the tick box to load as an image sequence should be at the bottom of the window.
For the image dialog box, it will not allow me to choose pixels, even though my document is a pixel sized document. I tried going to the Units & Increments settings, but nothing there changed it. Â As seen on this image: [URL] ..........
tryng to resize some pictures for the web I notice under Image ---- image size a button marked Auto. Pressed it and it increased by print resolution from 91 to 266 ( whichI think is a commercial printing resolution) However when I now reduced the image in size I got a better end product. So I've searched the help file for info on what/how this auto button does but can't find anything.
I am completing the dialog executing the Image Processor on a batch of files.
In section 4, I can specify to run an action.
When is this action run? I can't find this documented anywhere.
If, in section 3, I specify to save as JPEG and Resize to Fit and also convert Profile to sRGB, will the action be executed after all these changes have been made? That is, just before saving?
The first 3 messages are copied from another thread.I didn't want to hijack the OP's thread.Who does or does not have the option to post an image from their computer using the icon on the toolbar.
I also created a temporary account an on my first post I had the option to upload from my computer.
Image Option window show up every time I save an image after editing. Is there a way to set image quality at High and this window not to show up each time?
As you might see in layer panel. there is a blending option applying on text. and when i try to applying new blending option i-e drop shadow or inner shadow to layer shape 5. it will mess with also to text layer.
Why there is no option to see all image thumbnails when open photo like all other software ( hugin, luminance hdr etc) searching photos in gimp is slow and no i dont want use other software searching them it's should be normal like every one computer software
I am using After effects cs6 and when i try to choose a format there is no option to save as an image sequence. This goes for any clip I try to render. The picture below is where I am having the problem, under the format tab. There are only about 10 options under the tab and image sequence is not one of them.
