View 2 RepliesI would like to make a stamped/printed type effect but don't know how to do such a thing
To be more clear I've placed some examples of this text effect :
how to achieve such an effect?
I want to make a big NO boxed in with a line through it. I have it all layed out, but I simply cannot make it look like a rubber stamp. I made two layers, used an Underpainting Filter and a Spatter Brush Stroke filter and took out the white, but it still didn't look right.

What worked fine in 2010 now throws an "Error Decrypting Data" error on trying to open a drawing created with an educational version. These are student files that we are examining with an external marking program. The application can open non-educational versions without issue.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm making a website based around leather products. So my site design is based around leather.
I've got a light brownish/red leather texture for the main area of the site, and I want to have some text that looks like it was stamped into the leather, or burned into it, etc..
I've tried simple stuff like a reverse bezel or just an internal shadow in the top left.
Those suggest the letters are sunk in, but in no way look like they were pressed into the leather or burned.
I've tried using the burn tool but it doesn't look natural at all.
I'm also trying to get other leather effects, like punched holes, or sewn edges, or pattern stamping etc... Anything that might be done to leather.
How can I go back and edit text? I tried going back and editing the text I had, but the entire text disappeared.
I'm using a text effect, I need to edit the text itself while still maintaining the effect.
I don't want to start over and repeat the lengthy process of making the same effect again with new text.
i was going through the top ten pstech tips in the tech section, and the first one is coool, you can paint in effect just how it says.
but can you text in effect? i know it must be able to be done but it doesn`t work in the same way, i can`t write text on the layer mask.
How do you get the effect they got around the text.....like a drop shadow and the outline that looks like it had been sketched or shook or something.

I had a go with the warp text but couldn't get it. Is this effect done by creating one letter at a time and adjusting the height?
I've seen this done numerous times and this isn't a perfect example, but I'd like to create the 3D effect.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to do the mirror layer effect(vertically) so it looks like the image is being reflected on a shiny floor. With images I'm fine but I can't get around using text with color or effects.
when I use text together with effects like "gradient overlay" with ex. rainbow color it doesn't flip the colors, only the text(yellow on the top on both layers) (look at the picture)
It doesn't matter if the layer is text or rasterized...
Can I "attach" layer effects and colors to the copied layer or do something to get around this?
I feel in love with some text and I dont have idea how to achieve that kind of effect in Photoshop..
I really hope someone can help me, and tell me how do I make that '3D' effect in PS (the way how text is transformed)? Maybe theres any tutorial?
I have a logo in vector format and would like to make it that way - is this possible?
i've been using this little tutorial to try and design a logo for some friends, but i've got to the stage 6 as it is listed on there, and my hidden layer gets discarded when i try and convert from grayscale- to indexed colour, i get the message "flatten visible layers and discard hidden layers",
I can either click okidily dokidily or no, and the latter it just brings me back to where i was a few seconds ago.
Is there anyway to make a graphic sort of 'glow' using Photoshop? I know I have seen banners that look like they do, but I'm not sure if they were made with Photoshop.

I also added some text, I like the look of the text highlighted, I mean the white box with the inverted text color & even the image looks aqua blue.
