Photoshop :: Spell Check In CS5
Aug 15, 2012When I use the spell checker in Photoshop CS5 to check a text layer (in English), all I ever get is a message saying "Spell check complete" -- never any evidence of any errors being detected. It would be nice to think I'm a perfect speller, but the reality is it does this even when I can clearly see there are mistakes (for example, I've tested it by inserting gibberish words into my text).
Where are the spelling dictionaries, etc. installed, and what files should I find there for English spelling?

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Spell Check Freezes?
Apr 2, 2011I'm writing a manual using Corel Draw X5. The manual is 125 pages. When I spell check the whole document it freezes. I waited well over 20 minutes before concluding that something was wrong. Forcing Corel to close during the "not responding" state corrupts the document. When I try to reopen it, it hangs during the opening process.
I am fully updated on the software. Is this document too big for Corel Draw?

Sep 18, 2012In AutoCAD 2011 and 2012 my spell check instantly recognizes a misspelled word as soon as you enter a space after the word as you type.
AutoCAD 2013 does not recognize the misspelling until I go back (still within the text editor) and click on the word. Only then will it show the red underline. This is using Dtext only. Mtext works fine.
For the bad spellers or missed keystrokes, the fast "on the fly" spell checking was great. How to get my AutoCAD 2013 to behave similarly?

May 1, 2013I'm having in CS6..I have a text block with a couple of styles in it (headings have one look, body copy has another). Here and there, some words are on bold. When I select some bold words and change the color of them, some other bold words in some other paragraph also change color. Not all bold words... just some. The behavior is unpredictable, so the exact words that get changed will vary, but once it starts to happen it won't stop. When I try to manually fix the other words (hopefully I noticed them before my client!) and change them back to black, sometimes that change reverses the color on the original words too. Sometimes not; it's like the effect is sometimes two-way and sometimes one-way. It becomes a real logic puzzle sometimes, a maddening game where every change affects something else and you can't find the combination of actions that will do the simple thing you want.
I haven't noticed it happening with non-bold text, but that could just be coincidence.
When this happens, the only fix seems to be to rebuild the text from scratch in a new text box. (Copying it all and re-pasting it does not seem to work—unless possibly I paste into a different document entirely.)

For example if I try to type in "line" and I type in "linr" it will hang up for around 50 seconds. Is there a setting, system variable or key in the registry to stop autocad from looking for a command/shortcut that doesn't exist?

However, I previously loaded a lot of files on e without realising Elements was only watching c. What is the best way to pick up those new files? (I don't think I can delete tham and start again.)
Just get the media from the file, it imports it all then says it didn't import the old stuff as it was already in the catalogue. really should think about this more before I do anything.

Oct 19, 2013I am able to create my own customizable brushes BUT I want more, WAY more. I want a brush capable of picking up a pixel or a few and transform it/them into a bokeh, JUST WHERE they are.
The only tutorials I found are about making brushes, customizing them to do what ever but they create the same thing all over even if different sizes, scattered or whatever. Nothing about being able to have one that selects what is underneath.
Blur radius does not work, I tried and tried and tried again. If I still have hairs it because they are too short to pull and if the walls are still standing around me it is because I am wearing a soft pillow to protect them against my aggressiveness toward them (my wife was tired of paying for repairs).
Photoshop :: Text Color Not Staying When Picking Blue?
Mar 12, 2008I have a weird problem which is either operator error (Most likely) or something wrong with my CS3. I am trying to set my text color to a standard blue (0000FF in paint shop or anything close) When I set it to that it displays the color in the little color box but when I apply it goes back to a purple color? All other colors that I pick seem to stay but not the plain old blue? 8bit 16bit 32bit it doesn't matter nor does changing the mode to RGB or CMYK or whatever! I do notice in the select text color box that next to my color is a warning box that says" Warning : out of gamut for printing" but it say's that on other colors that it will pick and stay fine.

Apr 4, 2013I want to create a label with a textbox (myabe) in which i will write by my keyboard a word.After that i want to press the "Enter" button and the programm do this simple thing...."SPELL" each letter of my word, an activate a specific command each time and in my case a specific RULE from iLogic.
For example, i wanna whrite my name.....NIKOS....and after pressing the ENTER button, firstly my programm read the letter "N" and trigger the Rule1....After a specific time (that i want to defined by myself, probably with a timer) the programm read the right next letter which is "I" and activate the next Rule2...Until the last letter where it will end.
I should note here that i already have the code that i can calling as Rule i wish.But i dont know how to use it for my job....

I am doing a lot of Flyers and some text based graphics with Xara and this is the one feature I am still missing. If it's getting to complicated I switch to Corel Ventura Publisher which has not been maintained since ages, but is still a good piece of software. By teh way: Why does Xara/Magix not simply buy Ventura from Corel an include into their packages.
