I have some blocks with invisible attributes that I use to put information a wiring schedule. How to have those checked in a spell check? I can see that they are misspelled in the table but when I run a spell check it will not fix them.
View 3 RepliesWorking in Autocad 2011, PC version.My drawing has blocks that contain (1) visibible and editable attribute. Also contain (4) invisible and constant attributes. I need to update text information in the (4) invisible attributes. Using BATTMAN seemed the easiest way to do this, but when "Sync" ing the changes, the rotation angle/placement of the Visible attribute changes globally in the drawing.
(Many of the Visible attributes location were adjusted to prevent overlapping with other drawing lines.
How can I update text values of invisible attributes without rotating/adjusting the placement of my visible one?I've tried -attedit & attredef - neither of them did what I needed.
is there any way to spell check your text in an .IDW file?
Also... How can I arrange my Dimensions so that our Dimension Standards are the standard Style?
In AutoCAD 2011 and 2012 my spell check instantly recognizes a misspelled word as soon as you enter a space after the word as you type.
AutoCAD 2013 does not recognize the misspelling until I go back (still within the text editor) and click on the word. Only then will it show the red underline. This is using Dtext only. Mtext works fine.
For the bad spellers or missed keystrokes, the fast "on the fly" spell checking was great. How to get my AutoCAD 2013 to behave similarly?
when running spell check the tab for adding a word to the dictionary is not available.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe spell check works, almost. when I type a word that spell check does not recognize, I get the red underline, but when I choose to add it to dictionary, no dice. if I ignore, close the editor and reopen, the red underline is there.

When I use the spell checker in Photoshop CS5 to check a text layer (in English), all I ever get is a message saying "Spell check complete" -- never any evidence of any errors being detected. It would be nice to think I'm a perfect speller, but the reality is it does this even when I can clearly see there are mistakes (for example, I've tested it by inserting gibberish words into my text).
Where are the spelling dictionaries, etc. installed, and what files should I find there for English spelling?
Am I the only one annoyed with CD spell check?

I waited well over 20 minutes before concluding that something was wrong. Forcing Corel to close during the "not responding" state corrupts the document. When I try to reopen it, it hangs during the opening process.
I am fully updated on the software. Is this document too big for Corel Draw?

I am working on a project to assign balloons to components in drawing view automatically. Of course, I don't want to assign a balloon to a component which is invisible (hidden) in this drawing view.
So, is there any API function to check whether the component in the drawing view is invisible or hidden?

I created a block and the attributes really don't need to be seen in autocad just there for dataextraction and keeping it all in one location i want to go back through and make sure i have information filled in in all the right invisible attributes without having to open each block and check the attributes, but i don't want them permanently visible (i know i can freeze them or put them on a non plot layer but it clutters up the space when there is 20+ attributes to a block)

This is required because the attribute then gets exported to be inserted into another database program and the spelling has to be exact otherwise it will error. The list of names to check are colours and there are approx. 100 of them.
What would be perfect is if the attribute is a drop down list which is a live list of the colours in the excel file, but I dont think this is possible?

I have a dynamic block with several visibility states, and each visibility state has one invisible-constant attribute. I can't seem to wrap my head around dynamic blocks well enough to get the value from the active visibility state invisible constant attribute. I know how to get the visibility state like this:

I want to make an attribute that takes the number from the candela (15,30,75or 110) and change a different attribute to a value depending on which candela we use (such as 15=.078, 30=.113, 75=.195 or 110=.259). To take as an example, I am working on a file reported to be having unwanted entities when loaded through our importer. This file when loaded in AutoCAD shows proxy entity and nothing else. When I do "zoom to extents" and select the visible entities by selection window, it shows
Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 5767 found, 1988 groups
Now if I do the selection and say "select: all" instead of using selection window it shows:
Select objects: all
5805 found
9 were on a locked layer.
2 were not in current space.
So apparently there are 38 (5805 - 5767) objects which are either invisible or ignored by AutoCAD when I do "zoom to extents".
1. Is there any way in AutoCAD to make all the objects visible?
2. Why "Zoom to Extents" must be ignoring these objects?
3. What is the meaning of "2 were not in current space."? Does that mean, that the drawing file is simultaneously referring to two Coordinate Systems?
I am working on my xref file and all of a sudden in my layer properties, all of my layers are missing. It's as if they are still there but invisible, I put my cursor over them and a box comes up with the layer, but I still can not see it or modify it.
