View 6 Replies View RelatedI do have some issues with the inverse selection. Once I finished using "Pen Tool" and all dots have been connected I go to Select-Inverse to select the image but unfortunately the"Inverse" is grayed out. I remebere having this issue few years ago . I did called the Adobe Tech Support and have been navigated to the program folder to replace some of the files that have been corrupted. After that everything was working fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow to invert (inverse) a selection. Here is what I did:
*Selection made via a channel
*With the selection still visible, I created a hue/saturation adjustment layer. This then only changed only the the image area that was selected, as was expected.
*I next chose the "inverse" command under "select"
I went back to the hue/saturation adjustment but the same part of the image as before was effected, same as prior to my "inverse" command. I DID observe that the selection had changed when I chose "inverse," but the adjustment did not effect the new "inverse" part of the image.
my inverse select keystroke no longer works (shift+ctrl+i), from the menu it works fine though.
Is there some preference somewhere that I may have changed somehow, this is with PS7, no updates.
If I save a path as a clipping path and then import said path into Quark, I'm getting the background, not the selected cutout. Basically I'm getting the inverse of my path selection. I figure there must be a key command for this because it only started happening today.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIf i want to change the color of a selection of my pic, I add an adjustment layer (hue sat e.g.)... at the moment, I have to make my whole layer black, and paint the selection i want white so I can adjust its color.. is there anyway I can inverse this? so I just paint the selection I want to change, without making everything black first?
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time I fill a closed path, it fills the inverse of the path instead. YES, "add to path area" is selected on the options toolbar rather than "subtract from path area". Also, I know I could just make a selection from the path, invert the selection, and then fill it. But that would be taking 3 steps to do something that should take one step, and it's slowing me down a lot.
Is there some default setting that I accidentally toggled or something?
I am unable to use the keyboard shortcut for "select inverse" (ctrl+shift+I).
I've tried re-installing as well...
I use Lasso tool in astrophotos to increase saturation of image and then inverse to take saturation out of background ..ie stars but as I start to take saturation out of background the whole image basically turns into a color negative(for lack of better discription).Do I need to reinstall program (CD)

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I wish to select a detail within an image and right click to make the selection Photoshop CC automatically selects the inverse of the image, including the entire canvas. The edges of the canvas are not always visible when working in close-up. This has resulted in some close calls when appling color or airbrushing.
View 18 Replies View RelatedThroughout a project using Photoshop CS4, I print out the pages to make a dummy booklet. Once, upon opening the file and wanting to print, the preview window for Epson Stylus Photo R2400 printer showed a color inverse for the entire file. Viewing the images is normal in all ways. I had been making routine nudging, text editing, etc., on various layers and everything looked and behaved fine. It's only in the printing. I looked to see where a correction could be made, but I can't see anything. I tried to have the printer make color adjustments and have Photoshop make them.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a tshirt and can only use 3 colors (Green, Black and Yellow). If you look at the attached image, I need to make the brown color that is inside of the squirrel mask out the items behind it (corn stalks, rectangle and part of the "R" in "Corn Maze". The tshirt will be grey so once the Clipping Mask is applied, it will allow the grey tshirt to become the color for the squirrel.
The problem I'm running into is if I duplicate the squirrel and use him as a clipping mask, it does the opposite of what I'm trying to accomplish. I need to mask out everything inside the squirrel, not everything outside the squirrel. In photoshop, I could just inverse the selection. Not sure how to inverse a Clipping Mask.
I'm a frequent user of LR (since V 1). But today I changed one setting and now the gradient tool seems to "protect" the area where it's applied and affects the area where it's NOT applied. where to invert the affected area to its normal behavior?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem where the Inverse Report is returning values of "N 89-59-60 E" instead of "N 90-0-0 E".
I have attached a screenshot. A simple rectangular parcel rotated 1 degree.
The head of our survey department is going nuts trying to check things.
Civil 3D 2011 (SP1)
Windows 7 (32 bit)
My parcel inverse reports from the Toolbox Report Manager are still coming in with the bearings having decimal seconds to 3 places (N 0-00-00.000 E). I have already changed the variable for angle precision to zero in the "General_Formating_JScript" xsl file but it's still not coming out correctly. Is there any other file that holds an additional angle or bearing precision setting?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to stroke my work path with a brush I tailored myself. now, when I create a workpath from my text layer and switch to my top layer to try and choose 'stroke path' the option is shaded out.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm trying about 8 hours to convert a Photoshop shape in to a working path in order to put a brush border around it. I don't understand why the "stroke path with brush" is grayed out and not usable directly on the shape path itself.
"Load path from selection" is not an option because it deforms my path.
I want to be able to transpose the perspective of the existing image to my new 3D prism shape. Why can't I create a path.. and then drag nodes on that path.. and warp the pixels at the same time???
It shouldn't apply to just 3d.. because I should be able to draw a rigid path around anything and warp / stretch the image from those points.
Having made a (ex circular) closed path within a (ex square) path, I want to turn this into a selection in which the inner circle is omitted from the selection. But when choosing "Make Selection", only the first option,"New Selection" is available, the other three are grey (Add to, Subtract from and Intersect).
This used to work in CS7,
I'm wasting time having to place my image in Illustrator then manually line up the clipping path. You used to be able to save a file with a clipping path as an EPS in photoshop, select "retain vector data", place in illustrator and hit cmd Y to see the clipping path. I need the image and the clipping path in Illustrator and the image is too complex to create a mask in Illustrator. I tried to save it as an EPS but "retain vector data" is grayed out.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some negative space I created(black area, see first image) that I want to fill with type, not just a simple fill.
Basically I want to create the negative space from a bunch of small minus signs(-) that need to line up as they go across. If I type on each path one at a time as the text doesn't line up that way. This needs to be one continuous path. (see second image)
Unfortunately if I add them together, it creates a compound path, which you cannot type on, unless I am mistaken? So I need them to be a path, not a compound object.
